(( I just got the best idea for a training exercise. ))
Yuki would rather shoot the kid first before deciding to get on 'friendlier terms' but she zipped her mouth. It was bad for the squad's image if she shot off every new recruit's mouth the second they had the chance to speak. Besides, she would rather have someone who spoke their mind over those drones that the academy spewed out any day.
Naturally when Amie spoke of training together the obvious solution was to pit them against one another. But, assuming that Daichi didn't have his zanpacto yet the fight might be a little one sided... especially with Amie's huge claymore-slash-club. She would smash him to bits! That's when Yuki got the idea.
"Ok, I'll train you both.... I'm going to show you a kido, then give you some time to practice and get a feel for it wile I set up.... I'll explain more later, but how does that sound?"
She asked, hardly waiting for an answer. She looked at Amie then Daichi, deciding that they had both already asked for training, so why was she even bothering to ask what they thought.
"The kido is called 'byakurai'.... It's number 4 in the huge list of hado, and since I assume that you have been to the academy, pop quiz, Whats the incantation for casting it?"
She demanded, crossing her arms over her chest, a way of demanding the answer or not be taught at all.

Quickly reacting to the question Daichi answered, "It is White Lighting and there is no incantation for casting it. It happens to be a quick cast kido in case you don't have time to say a full incantation, Captain." He was good at kido he though, he showed a look of pride on his face. Calming down completely form before seeing that she had calmed down and looked like she doesn't want to kill him.
"Thank you, for training me Captain."

Amie nodded confidently to Daichi, then to Yukimaru-sama. The question asked had been a trick question, and Daichi had beat her to the punch. No offense to her fellow Shinigami, but she didn't think he'd get it so fast. Ah well, he deserved a chance to redeem himself. She just hoped it didn't make her look bad.
The lesson would be strictly a kido practice, so with a quick fluid motion, she sheathed it. Then, she prepared for what Yukimaru-sama wanted to do next.

Yuki wasn't exactly looking for that answer, but it was true. Kudos to them for realizing there was no incantation. She smirked, at least she had students with brains in their skulls, ahhhh that was a relief! Amie seemed to have the answer too, but didn't say it because Dai had beat her to the punch
"Good. So to cast it you say the name, number and weather it's a hado or a Bakudo. Like so."
She turned around towards the target dummies and focused a small amount of riatsu into her finger tip. For the added comedic effect she used two fingers and her thumb in the shape of a gun. If she wasn't demonstrating she might have just said 'bang' and let her thumb drop in an imaginary trigger to cast it.
"Hado #4 Byakurai"
She let her thumb drop anyway, in her mock gun and shot the dummy in the chest, leaving a smoking hole where it's guts once would have been.
"Your turn.... When you two think you have the hang of it let me know and we can play a game."
Yuki said as she turned away and began pulling out spare dummies and setting them up as blockades. She mostly just threw them around over a big distance.

Amie watched in silence, paying attention to all her sensei did. For a moment, she wondered if the gun gesture was real, but later dismissed the thought, with the help of common sense. Yukimaru-sama was the kind of person she assumed that would like to show off, or impress her students. The hado was extremely effective, especially for only being a 4. She blinked at the whole it left, and pondered how much riatsu she used.
There was a small shudder that went down Amie's spine when she said 'game'. She had a feeling Yukimaru-sama would be the one enjoying herself during that experience.
"Ok, Yukimaru-sensei."
Amie spaced out her legs, and placed one hand behind her, to her side. She placed her other hand in front of her, with her pointer and middle finger aiming at a dummy.
"Hado number four, Byakurai!"
She concentrated on her pointer finger, then the dummy. Reitsu was a flow,and she imagined that. A small lick of white energy fired from her finger, followed by a small zapping noise. The energy reached about six feet in front of her. Amie frowned, and stared down at her finger in disappointment. What did I do wrong?
She shook her head. I just have to try harder. Amie straightened her pose, and focused her reitsu a little harder. She fixed her eyes on the dummy. Yukimaru-sama made this look easy. She took a deep breath, and tried again.
"Hado number four, Byakurai!"
The lightning was a tiny bit quicker, and made a bit of a larger bang. It reached it's target, and left a tiny burn where it hit. Again. I have to try again. It's not good enough. Amie tired it thrice more, with it only strengthening slightly each time. Amie gave an exasperated sigh.
Concentrate. Deep breaths..... Amie reverted back to the original method.The purple wind, the beetle coasting across the current. She closed her eyes and pictured that image. Then she straightened herself once more, and placed her hand in a more adjacent position. She closed her right eye, and focused all her concentration on the dummy. Her position, unlike the stiff old one, was more fluid and graceful.
"Hado number four, Byakurai."Amie said, this time not yelling. She flicked her wrist upward, and the lightning made a more explosive and smooth appearance. It danced from her two fingertips to the dummy, where it made an apple sized whole where the heart was supposed to be. Amie smiled. It wasn't nearly as huge as Yukimaru-sama's, but it was definitely something.
Amie got out of her firing position,and waited to see how Daichi would do.

Following his captains orders he raised his left hand up pointing it at the nearest training dummy. Focusing some of his reiatsu to his finger tips and aimed at where it heart would be.
"Hado #4 Byakurai."
A quick bolt of energy shot at his fingers hitting the dummy in the heart leaving a charred black hole where is heart should be. He didn't waste a second when he aimed in between the dummies eyes and charged a bit more of his reiatsu.
"Hado #4 Byakurai." He spoke softly watching a bolt of lighting hit in between the dummies eyes leaving a hole that looked as he had a third eye.
"I think I am ready captain."

Yuki looked up from her barricade placing. Now behind the two students it looked like a paintball range, with plenty of places to duck and hide behind dummies and other big things generally good at taking shots. She looked happy with her work as she turned back to the two students.
"Excellent. I think the best way to test how good you two are at quickfire kido is in actual combat. I find that real combat leans more Zanpacto heavy, so you two will be having an old-fashion Texas shoot-em-up."
She said, looking at them with an evil glare, as if pinning them against one another was a form of torture. Admittedly she could do worse, and have them attack her, but the last time she did that she almost killed her vice captain... Well... Former vice captain anyway.

There where multiple ways Amie could have reacted to Yukimaru's proposal. For starters, it was a pretty tough training idea. Not to mention evil. Sparring, only using a kido? That would be straining. However, as soon as she gave the command, her attention had to be elsewhere. Amie could be clumsy, and she wasn't the fastest to learn things either. But when matters became serious, she could pull herself together to be a very reliable shinigami.
Fighting was all about strategy. As soon as Yukimaru-sama finished her statement, Amie shot into action. "Hado number 4, Byakurai."She whispered those words as softly as her lips could manage. She was aiming to take him by surprise. Her arm extended in a subtle motion, and she turned her wrist to fact up. Amie concentrated on the liquid flow of her arm, to focus the Reitsu for the kido. The lightning shot extended from her fingertip, and was aimed at his feet, to throw off his footing.
There was doubt it would actually hit, but she wanted to get the first move in. Next, she crouched into a fighting stance. Her stance was low to the ground, with open palms, one arm in front of her, one arm to her side. A few seconds after the first shot, she aimed her finger in his direction, and attempted another shot, this time with the intention to hit. "Hado number four, Byakurai!" It was loud, she wasn't hiding anything. She concentrated harder, and focused more reitsu, then pushed out her hand. Lightning spread like wildfire from her fingertips, and rushed for the general direction of Daichi's center. Her objective here was to keep him on the defensive.

Daichi was in complete shock at first unknowing what to do. She was playing no game at all this is was serious. He his fighting stance was a messed up from her first shot so he could not take the offense. coming to his sense he quickly rolled out of the kido. He jolted to a nearby dummy and hid behind it.
Getting into a fighting stance he leaned a bit over the dummy still using some of its protection. He aimed at Amie pointing his left hand like a gun at her and whispered, "Hado Number 4 Byakurai." Firing a sloppy bolt of lighting at her do to his awkward stance. He thought there was a very slight chance that it would hit. All he wanted was to get on the offensive side, but he could tell she already had it a doesn't want to lose it.

Amie watched him dodge the bolt, and hide behind the dummy. Good. I've gained the advantage of first offense. She smiled, but then saw his attack. She hadn't heard him cast it, so didn't have that much time to dodge it. True, it was a bit off, as she noticed, but she had underestimated his response time. He was pretty resourceful. She pushed her weight to her right foot, as the bolt was coming to clip her left flank, and pivoted to spin a full 90 degrees to get out of the way. She practically felt the heat on her skin, and the nerves of how close that had actually came. I have to be more careful It was then Amie got an idea.
She dropped to the ground, flat out on her stomach, and acted extremely quickly. She was very vulnerable here. Hopefully, It would take Daichi a moment to register what the hell she was doing. "Hado number four, Byakurai!" She swung her right arm like an arc, with two fingers extended. She didn't let her arm leave the ground. The white energy zapped with average strength from her fingertips, and then danced across the ground. She had been paying a lot of attention to the way her casts had moved, and was delighted to report it was very malleable, and flowing. So the way the lightning moved was like so; it's blast began at the beginning of her arc, then curved as her arm finished.
What was the point? The whole battlefield became shrouded in dirty fog, with all the sand that had been overturned. Amie couldn't even see that well, but she had never taken her eyes off the dummy, so she was starting in Daichi's direction. Not that she could see him, though. She was legally blind. She started crawling, army style, twords the dummies left flank, her right side. Because she was so close to the ground, it would be hard for him to catch her coming. Once she reached where she thought was about ten feet to the side of his hiding place, she waited, remaining absolutely silent. The dust began to settle, and she saw his outline. She wasn't as close as she had hoped she was, at about fifteen to sixteen feet instead, but that was to be expected. She closed her right eye, then positioned her left hand in firing range.
How can I do this without causing to much damage...? Maybe if I tone down the power, but still use enough reitsu, I can give him a shock. After all, white lightning is just electric energy fueled by reitsu. Amie licked her lip, and let her tongue stay their for a moment. Her shot would be fired for his center, but would be coming from his left side. "Hado number four, Byakuria" she whispered. The lightning was fast and sneaky. If it hit, it was capable of delivering a mean electric shock. But it wasn't as destructive as the ones they had been using on the dummies. Visibility was still a bit low, and she hoped that would aid her attack.

(( Yes, you two can use up to number 10, If I recall correctly. Now that I think about it, I wonder why I taught you such a low Kido if you know up to 10? :: shrugs:: Probably because it's easiest to teach, and it's nice to go over things in an RP to confirm that you know them. ))

Looking on to the battle field he seen her just barely dodge his attack, this was getting dangerous. He scanned the battle field for an opening that he could us when he saw her fire a bolt on the ground, he almost missed it with all the dust in the air. He crouched down preparing to jump out of the way of the bolt. Unaware of how fast it is going he barely had time to get off the ground when the bolt fired the bottom of his shoe almost burning his foot.
He had a birds eye view of the the ground as he scanned it looking for his target. He could not quit find her because of all the dust impairing his vision. He seen a bolt of lighting in the battle field hit near he was before as he slowly fell to the ground. Doing some quick thinking he lifted his hand to a dummy that he though were that bolt came from. He whispered, "Hado Number 4 Byakurai." He shot a bolt from his fingers towards the dummy, and ran to a nearby dummy hiding from her.

Daichi, I had a hard time understanding exactly what you where trying to do in your last post, so next time, look it over. Please?]
Amie yelped as the dummy to her right exploded in a flash of white. It seemed Daichi had evaded her attack. Amie bit her lip. She needed a new strategy. If worse came to worse, she figured she could outlast him. If it became a game of endurance, Amie was confident of her ability. Of course, she giggled at the idea of "game" because it was ironic. This was a pretty deadly game, but she had to give credit to Yukimaru-sama, for it was fun. Kido training was something she didn't normally like. The smoke finally cleared, and Amie saw him hiding a few feet in front of where she was. It seemed he hadn't noticed her yet. She would use this to her advantage.
"Hado number four, Byakurai!" Amie pointed for the dummy he was in back of, closed her right eye, then let the lightning fire from her pointer finger. It traveled straight to the dummy, and due to the closeness of herself to it, the dummy itself shattered into many pieces. Amie smiled, and jumped to her feet. She rushed up to him, and brought back her right arm. She focused reitsu to her two fingers, then shouted the command. "Hado number four, Byakurai!" She aimed a jab at his chest, that would cause an electric shock, rather than a hole, if it hit.

[[I usually have someone look over it but nobody was home so it was kinda sloppy]]
Unnoticed that she was firing a Kido until the dummy shattered, he was in a panic unknowing what to do. Puzzled he looked around to see another attack but it was to late. She fired another bolt straight at him, unable to dodge it completely when he tried to side step away from it. The blot hit him in his left elbow sending a shock through his body
He bit his lip in pain trying not to scream in pain. He dropped to his knees, but new he wasn't giving up with out a fight. He raised he uninsured arm pointing it towards her which happened to be only a few feet away. He shouted, "Hado number 4 Byakurai!" He didn't put enough of his energy in it to cause any damage in it. He knew he could not take another hit.

Amie felt a shine of triumph as her fingers grazed him, and the attack connected. The energy shot through her fingers to his body, and she could tell it was successful. However, she felt a blanket of guilt at the pain she caused; she hadn't meant for it to be so bad. She watched him fall to his knees, as she tried to even her huffing breathing. It was then she noticed him bring up his arm.
Aw crap
"Hado number-"
Amie acted impulsively, as the last thing she wanted was to go through what she just saw happen to him. She jumped at him, a low to the ground sweeping tackle. He wasn't even a foot away. Amie attempted to grab and push his firing arm upward. If she executed this correctly, his arm would be facing upward when he finished the incantation, so the lightning would be focused that way. Her other arm would be folded against her chest, and press against his neck when and if they hit the ground in this manor.
