-I had someone tell me today that Michael Crawford's voice sucks.
Me --> *plays MotN* I would so marry MC if he wasn't already married and if he wasn't really old...meh, details, details!
Her --> *completely serious* I think his voice sucks. He can't sing. At all.
Me --> But...but...the sexyness...*completely loses all respect for that person's music sense*

Okay, this is half artist peeve and half phan peeve.
Situation: Craft class
Me: *drawing mask as a design idea for a rug*
Girl: What'cha doing?
Me: *doesn't like explaining, so holds up paper* biggrin
Girl: *points to mask* Wtf is that?
Me: .... a mask...
Girl: It looks like a bird. O_o
How in all that is sacred can the mask possibly look like a bird?

Okay. 1.Raoul just came out of no where and swept Christine off her feet. 2.Erik was ALWAYS there for Christine no MATTER what! Thats good Thats pisses me off too. xd I've always wanted christine to be with erik!

No what I truely hate in when someone claims they are a Phan and than they ask something like. "Does the Phantom have a name?" "How did he get all that stuff down there in his lair!"
-_- I have friends like that, that have only seen the movie. Its sad, because I offer to loan them both of my books the original and Phantom by Susan Kay, but they say all the time. "No! Its okay!" Like something is going to attack them if they read the book.

No, I know others... I like 'phan', personally. It's distinct. Helpful when you have several fandoms.
Edited to Add: I don't think Raoul is better than Erik, but Erik isn't better than Raoul either.
The Daroga is better than both of them. Hah!

i hate erik bashers. seriously.
people that bash him because he's deformed and a tad punjab-happy just plain piss me off. also, i dislike raoul. but not because of the regular reasons, although it's true that i think he's a complete ponce, but because when i saw the play, as a young girl of 7/8, i COMPLETELY loved the whole phantom-ness, [yes, even when i was a impressionable child surrounded by style magazines etc] and hated how raoul was so bossy and completely arsehole-ish. I had a little memory lapse before 2004 movie was released, and I completely forgot how much I disliked the raoul character, even when I'd listened to the tape over and over. But it all came back when he strode onto the stage, announced his patronage [or whatever] but I think the scene when my flame of hate burned brightest was when he bossed Christine in her dressing room, and when he told her that the opera ghost didn't exist.
Oh, and this weekend I'm FINALLY buying the book for 50p from borders. it's definate, and I'll put Dracula aside to read it. :3

Basjee and when he told her that the opera ghost didn't exist. In essence he was right though. There was no "ghost". It's clearer in the book, I believe he says he believe's someone is fooling with her emotions and he is correct. Deny it as you will he IS right.
