Avalon blushed a bright shade of red and looked away from him. Should she tell him? No, that wouldn't be right, she didn't want to jeopardize their friendship like that.
"It's nothing Krin....nothing important..." Avalon smiled, hopefully it looked real and not plastered on like she thought it looked.

Now Krin's interest was peaked. As he watched her he could tell it was more important than she was letting on. the urge to read her thoughts was stronger now then ever and resisting was difficult. He Stared at her focusing most his energy on not invading the privacy of her mind.

Avalon closed her eyes, that made her blush even more.
"Krin...I think I love you!" She turned and bolted from the creek bed and sprang outside of the trees. She had never had to do that before...and...well...it scared her.
"Avalon you idiot!!!" She smacked herself on the forehead.

Krin was stunned he wasn't even sure if he knew what love was but judging by the way she took off he was wondering if he wanted to. A few minutes later Krin recovered from his shock looking about he noticed Avalon had left her cloak. standing up he walked from the creek and picked up the cloak. he was still dripping wet as he looked in the direction she had left and wondered. Did I push it to far? Not willing to let her go so easily he shook the water from his wings and took fight. He flew slowly in the direction she had left hoping to spot her. He held the cloak close hoping to find her.

Avalon stopped just outside of the trees. There was shade covering her, she hoped that no one could see her otherwise they'd start asking questions and she didn't like questions.
"My god Avalon....can you be any more of a moron!?" Avalon hit her head again. "Ow...." She mumbled, rubbing her forehead.
Avalon looked up into the sky and saw Krin flying. Her eyes widened and she closed her eyes as if if she couldn't see him, he couldn't see her.
"Avalon...get over it. It's over, you said it...it's done." She kept reminding herself with her eyes closed.

Krin flew over Avalon in desperate search for her. He blamed himself for it and wished he hadn't said anything. He landed on a nearby roof top scanning the ground as he clung to the wet cloak. he figured she still had the necklace which gave him a bit of comfort knowing this love of which she had spoken didn't mean she wanted to never see him again. but the likely hood of him finding her was slim. sitting down on the roof he sighed and looked over the ground below.

Avalon decided to go home....her emotions were all mixed up and frayed. When she looked up at her house...something she usually did....Krin was perched on her house. How in the world did he pick hers out? Well...it was the only one around for a mile or two. Avalon walked over to it and called Zroa. He answered her call and landed on her shoulder.
"How in the world did you manage to pick out my house?" Avalon still had the light blush on her cheeks.

Krin looked down and spotted Avalon he smiled. "I don't know. I didn't know this was your house." he said as he glided down from the roof. holding out the still damp cloak he said "You left this." he paused thinking of the words to say "I'm sorry I shouldn't have pressed, I'm still getting used to this." he said awkwardly.

Avalon blushed and took the sopping wet cloak from him. She held it away gingerly, it was still wet and she wasn't.
"Thank you Krin...and I'm sorry for making things so awkward for you...I shouldn't have done that..." Avalon became occupied with her feet, she couldn't face him now.

"I know what you mean....I would have never told anyone about what I really do....but I told you....and now...this..." Avalon blushed again, things were not going well at the moment.
She leaned forward and lightly gave Krin a peck on the cheek.
"I hope this doesn't make things too awkward for us...I would hate to lose you..."

Krin nodded lifting his head to look at her. he looked almost confused as she kissed him on the cheek. as he rolled over his thoughts in silence for a minute he began to take on a very embarrassed look even to the extent of blushing slightly then he asked very quietly "What is love." once the question came out he blushed vividly and he looked at the ground again.

Avalon blushed when he asked the question...love...what was it? Well, her own definition was...well...she didn't really know.
"Well...my definition of love would probably be....two people...having strong feelings towards each other and they know somewhere deep in their heart that if that other person was to die or go away forever, they'd never be happy again..." Avalon blushed brightly and looked down.

Avalon blushed and looked away...she smiled though. He had said that he loved her....she loved him too. It was only natural that she....
"I'm glad..." Avalon lightly touched one side of his face and kissed him very lightly on his lips.
