Jason took the object from Gia and looked it over. "Thank you." It's magical aura seen by his eyes. Jason pulled off the quiver but in doing so, looked back and saw Tori. She was a tad smaller than the rest but she held a rather large ax for her size. Knowing how heavy that would be for a normal human, Jason could only deduct she had a dwarf heritage... But how much?

"What's your story? I don't believe I've heard it yet," said Jason towards Tori as he turned his head back towards her. As he asked her, he slipped the pendant upon the quiver, noticing that the arrows were absorbing the magic that was within it.

Edit: "Just because people works together, it doesn't mean that the rule of friendship comes into affect. But for future reference, if you wish not to have a heated argument that can actually go against your ideals of friendship, no one can force change on a person and expect immediate result. It just won't happen," said Jason as he glanced over to Liah but back towards Tori, and then back towards Liah.

Tori raised her head up to look at Jason when he addressed her. She was used to having to look up all the time but it was still very annoying. "Well, I have a rather large family very very far away from here that lives on a farm. I haven't seen them in years for I was forced by my parents to make something of myself and I don't really know how or when to go back. They didn't want me to spend my whole life taking care of my family. I was oldest, so I spent much time worring about them, and I still do." Tori looked down at her feet, somewhat because it felt more comfortable then looking up, but also because she felt sad and could tell that it probably showed in her eyes. The halfling quickly shook her head, getting the sad thoughts out, and raised her head again. " There isn't much more interesting about me. I haven't found my purpose yet, all I have done is grown stronger. But, I am half dwarf if you are wondering why I'm short." Tori forced on a small smile onto her tan face as she finished speaking. Maybe that was a little too much information, but I don't want them to think I have a dark secret or something.

"I'd think you would like it there, though the people are not so social. The creatures are there. Especially the dragons there, they are my friends. I love watching the golden dragons and the pixie dragons play. The pixie dragons do the most playing though with the bigger dragons, which always have me laughing. I think that is why the people don't socialize with me, except when they know they can earn coin from me." She would smile though when she saw that Jason accepted the medallion for the quiver she had given him to use earlier. Her trust had always been with her friends on the island. They never let her down, not even once. They supported her through everything, even now they had been a guiding light in this dark forest. "I think even Ramiel would laugh at the dragons and their play. It's truly a sight to behold. "I can only hope that this forest doesn't take me away from those on the island. I bet the dragons miss me already and miss the games played." Her words were something that hit her heart hard, but she looked forwards hoping the target Ramiel sought was ahead and soon.

"That's an interesting story as well as an interesting trait. To have the strength of two grown men is something every swordsman always wants. The ability to swing a large weapons such as that ax with the speed of a sword is something that everyone wishes they had at many times. You will be a strong link in this quest. As much as the mages along with the shapeshifters," said Jason with a smile.

Tori listened to Jason's comment. When he was done, she brightly smiled and nodded her head. "Why, thank you." she said. I never thought about it that way she thought. "What about you?" she asked. "Where are you from?" Tori slightly cocked her head to one side as she asked the question. She wanted to learn more about the ones who she was traveling with. They all were different, so all their stories would be pretty interesting. Also, she would learn more about things she had never heard of before or never knew much about. This journey could result in her learning more about her world.

"I... I came from a family that wanted nothing of me, nor did they want me around when I was around 7 years old. I developed an... Abnormality which is a sign of a demon within the village I came from. Shame, if only they let me say my side of the story, I wouldn't have been wandering for eleven years." Jason made a light chuckle at this, but there was pain laced within that was hard to detect. He slowly shook his head while he chuckled before he regained his composure. "I'm just a human for my heritage and my profession is a bow loaded with an arrow."

As the group continued through the dead forest, the soon came across a large clearing. The ground was as black as ash, and nothing grew within it. At the center a small crater stood, the bones of many scattered around it.

As Ramiel took his first steps into the clearing his pace changed, his posture seemed to slack slightly as well. The look in his eyes turned from one of fierce determination to that of remembering. Though his pace seemed slow he'd out stepped the entire group by a wide margin, reaching the crater at the center of the clearing before the others would be able to get to far beyond the entrance to it.

Kneeling down Ramiel brushed his hand across the ground, his head slowly changing his direction of his gaze to the many bones. After a moment Ramiel closed his eyes, bring the hand he'd brushed against the ground to his chest, clenched tightly in a fist.

Suddenly, with little warning his head went sky ward, an inhuman roar bursting from his lungs. It was like a mixture of beasts untold.

However this wasn't the end of the days surprises. Suddenly Ramiel hunched over, his eyes scanning the area. His ears seemed to perk slightly as if listening to a sound in-audible to the rest of the group. However they would soon be able to hear it as well.

It sounded like the faint buzzing of an insects wings, and it was growing closer! Within moments Beetles began to burst forth from the trees, but these beetles weren't normal. Nom they were each 4 feet tall, 6 feet long, and 4 feet wide. There beady black eyes showed little intellect, only hunger.

Stepping forward slightly the beetles hissed, snapping they scissor like pincers as they began to head towards Ramiel and the other members of the group. A thick green slime oozed from their small mouths, sizzling as it hit the ground, and when the adventures hit the shells they'd discover them to be several times stronger then steal.

Ramiel growled suddenly "Watch out, these things are far worse then those un-dead from before. They're flesh eaters, feasting on the remains of the live, dead and un-dead alike. Try and hit they're under bellies, thats the only thing thats not armored" He said before dashing forward at one of the beetles, bare handed.

Taking hold of the insects pincers Ramiel began to spin in a circle, his speed rapidly increasing till he hurled one beetle in to another, causing them both to land on their backs. Though effective Ramiel's actions seemed to come at a price as blood oozed from the palms of his hands.

"Figures we'd run into such spineless invertebrates," muttered Jason as he drew back on the bow, aiming for one of the eyes of a beetle coming at him but was a bit surprised to see that the arrow was knocked away by the Beetle's pincer. "Crud," said Jason as a beetle stood on its hind legs before falling to crush Jason on the ground to get a better shot at Jasons head. It's immense size surprised Jason as he pulled out a handful of his normal arrows as it landed upon him. He was caught underneath but his head was away from the dripping saliva that was oozing out of its mouth. Jason had enough room, luckily, to thrust the arrows into the center of the insect where its heart would be. It was heavy but Jason had enough strength, even with the wound, to push the dying or dead insect off of him and as he did, pulled out the arrows he stabbed in it.

Damon growled menacingly, more ferociously than before. 'This time I won't let anything get near you.' He vowed, taking a defensive position in front of Liah. The bugs were smaller than he was which was somewhat comforting to Liah. Still, she was terrified. She immediately got out her knife and gripped it tightly. 'What am I going to do?' She thought helplessly. 'I'm helpless like this...I can't just rely on Damon for things--' Suddenly, Damon ran head on into one of the creatures, violently turning it upside down so that it's soft underbelly was exposed. He ripped at it with his sharp teeth until it no longer moved. Liah watched as he tried to spit the taste out of his mouth as best as he could, she realized that they probably didn't taste very good. Damon's abilities were impressive, she of course knew his background which made him seem even more great and talented. Wincing and trying to ignore the constant buzz, she watched as Damon attacked yet another insect head on.

Gia had no time to talk now, as she quickly took the long sword in hand. Jason was pinned down, that wasn't a good sign. The bugs were strong that had been noticed as she would think of possibly using even more managed to begin casting her spells. They had to be weaved to target the insects before they struck her. An insect would spy Gia, but would find her sword impacting its under side quickly as she slid down to the ground slicing it quickly from underneath. Her eyes had shifted in their expressions again. A spell was being weaved with her left hand though. The magic was pouring out as she had to let it flare. The magic would then ignite as she would target any insect that came at her with her sword now ensnared with fire that danced about it. It had been sent a fire. Each slash being swift, but every time she does it. Her strength begins to wane. It was a clear indication she was weakening because she had in the air a protective spell circling around each group member to heal their bodies a little faster. It wasn't intact on her body, but it was on theirs. "By the spirits that flow within my body, hear me and give them strength. Heal their bodies as they fight and give them strength." The light that was flowing from her hand would burst, but not to attack the creatures but to flow to party. It would circle their body before going inside them. Gia had given her spell of healing to help while they fought, how it was used depended upon their bodies. If it came of need fast, their bodies would heal faster. Gia had bigger insects to kill, than monitor how the spell reacted.

Seirei listened to what Ramiel had to say, understanding that he might as well not waste time attacking them from above or his weapons would merely break. "Fine then, from beneath them I must strike," Seirei said, watching a beetle coming at him from the air. It was coming down at about a 45 and Seirei charged at it. When the creature was less that 10 feet about the ground Seirei jumped up at it, the bug tilting up slightly to keep on target. As the pincers almost closed around Seirei he turned into a blurred figure of mist, shot under and behind the creature, cutting a large X across it's underside. The force of the blow almost flipped the bug over on it's back but it was still flying so it recovered and started to turn to face him. With an uppercut like swing Seirei knocked it's head up, exposing it's weak flesh again and stabbed deep into where he figured the heart was. When it seemed he hadn't killed it he spun his other arm back around, took a step forward and stabbed up from the bleeding flesh into the head and turned into mist again, poofing outward as the creature fell where he was standing. He reformed behind it as another couple were coming at him from the front.

Alwyn hadnt had much time to react to Gia. When the beetles came her way she raised her own short sword and with a string wave of her hand sent a gust of wind to try and out balance it. She had to be carefull to keep control of her wind least she cause another to become detached from their fighting. She began to concentrate hard on what she was doing. Her eyes werwe following the movement of her left hand watching the faint outline of the wind she was controling and at the same time she was attacking the beetles underbellies stabbing as she went along. Alwyn knew she had to be careful one mistake and there wou7ld be many broblems that and she would not be able to keep up this sort of fighting for long. The longer she went about controling the wind the more tired she would get. That and what she was doing was even more complicated because she was catching the wind she was using and using it over and over again and because of that it was becoming stronger. To lose control and send it to one of the others could prove to be a bit more then a little disastorous.

"Here we go again." Zen said as a beetle charged at him. Similar to what he had done with the wolf, Zen slid to the ground. As the beetle passed over him, Zen sliced the underside with his sword. "Eww." he said as he wiped some beetle guts off his clothes. Then he heard hissing. He looked up and saw that two beetles were ganging up on him. They had seen what he had done to the first beetle, and were smart enough not to try the same move. They moved to both of Zen's sides. "Now what do I do?" he said to himself, ready for an attack.

Sintariun had to cover her ears for a moment when Ramiel roared but then her sensitive hearing caught on the sound of insect wings. Turning at hearing one land, the elf's eyes widened in shock and horror at the creature stepping towards her. Seeing the beady eyes lock on her, the elf returned them and quickly analyzed the situation. ((Jeez Ramiel I hope you have something that lets you speak elven at the same time, otherwise Sin is in deep trouble XD)) Seeing that the bug was encased in armor exoskeleton, the elf glanced at the feet and her eyes spotted the underbelly. It's my only option right now, she thought as she grabbed her dagger that was now pulsing at her side.

Rushing at the beetle with her emerald hair whipping behind her, Sintariun waited until the last moment to unsheathe her blade and skid beside the beetle. She managed to break some of the beetle's leg making it off balance and in doing so upturning it on it's backside. Unfortunately as she did some of the creature's saliva landed on her as it spat at her in anger. Wincing at the pain, the elf brought up her blade to slice the underbelly and disemboweling the wretched thing. Biting back a cry of pain, Sintariun quickly wiped the saliva off as it ate at her flesh as the beetle cried out in pain then slowly died. Clutching her shoulder, the elf glanced around for a second then felt her dagger throb in her hand again.

Glancing at it, the elf cringed slightly, the insect had not sated it's lust and the tradition had to be completed. Looking at her hand, Sintariun took her other and covered the blade then closed her eyes as she she cut her hand letting the blood flow down the dagger. Removing her bloody hand from the metal, Sintariun clenched it into a fist to halt the bleeding as best she could. The blade lessened it's pulse and the elf sheathed it quickly. Glancing around she was hoping that the others were alright. **edited**

((Just to point this out to you all, the bugs are 4 feet high, but they crawl along the ground. There's only about 7 inches off the ground))
