I dont know if its silly but it is useful, when I had a Bair sax section our BD would always give us bottled water and we hated finishing it cause we would get really tired marching with them so we would put our bottles in the barrels scream and well they we would cause they would fall out when we had to move the bairs to the side, but it was helpful no one could do it but us cause they didnt care wat lowreeds did confused

Amen to that. I've always been amazed at how the other sections put thier drill in thier pants or the trumpets just carry it around in thier hands and play at teh same time. That would doistract me. LoL. intersting. But to go along with the cup thing. I defiently starting at the very end of water break would go and fill up my cup full of ice and then stick it inside my bell. LoL I still do the same thing in college. So when we have a mini break I can just whip out my now water formally ice. ^_^ hooray for bells!

Haha, my sax playing friends have done that too, the ones that play alto. Then one parade my friend was bored & decided to stick the water bottle in my Tenor. It got stuck xp

Once in middle school I decided that I would try to get my French Horn to hypotize someone....I was spinning it when the horn fell to the floor. It was okay till someone kicked it into a stand. The bell was folded in on itself, and I had to pay for the repairs....lets just say I haven't spun my Horn around since.

this ******** in our section decided he'd do that one day. he took either a waterbottle or his drill sheets and shoved them in his alto's bell. only he forgot he put them there. so we go to play, and he's disgustingly out of tune. the section leader's messing with his saxophone, trying to figure out what's wrong, when he turns it upside down and the sheets come flying out.

man, did he get it for that one. XD

my friend likes to keep her french horn mouthpiece in her purse.
we can just imagine how that'd go over if she ever got searched.
"excuse me, miss, what exactly is this?"
"i...uhh....it's my mouthpiece."
-officer looks at partner-
"what do you suppose this is?"
"i dunno...looks like some apparatus for smoking mar-a-ju-an-a to me."
"okay, we're taking you in. and confiscating this thing."

The most embarrasing and disgusting thing I've done with another person saxophone is accidently stagger breath wrong...yeah thats right. THAT was disgusting spit in my mouth and it was my section leaders sax. gonk I was new to a sax so I never knew what it meant....now I do. sweatdrop I felt sooooooooo stupid.
