Orika threw her arms around Karite's neck and kissed back twice as passionately. One hand rubbed the back of his head and pulled him closer to her body in a tight embrace. Orika finally pulled away when the last bit of air escaped from her lungs, although a second later, her lips were pressed again onto Karite's and the farm girl grabbed lightly at his hair. It was like all the blood was sucked out of her and replaced with crack. Never before had she reached this level of pure happiness, safe and warm inside Karite's strong arms. After a while, she released the kissed, grinned, and ended their encounter with a soft peck on the cheek. She could still taste the sweet salt on her boyfriend's lips and Orika spread that around her own to make the flavor last as long as possible. When she finally looked up, the night was upon them; The last of the sun's rays were nearly beneath the horizon and the sky had faded to a greyish-purple. "I think we better get going," she urged him gently on, pointing to the unfinished raft that laid at their immediate right. There were no words to describe how special Karite was to her. All she knew was that she wanted to be with him forever, that the night no longer seemed like jungle full of enemies, but a cozy blanket they could snuggle under. Besides, he was a damn good kisser!
+1 to Karite

Karite could feel the pure passion coming from Orika, it seemed he proved himself worthy in what he thought would take longer, or at least he was hopping. As Orika came in again Karite's eyes bulged he was not expecting another embrace, not one so forceful either. As it continued he began to wobble his legs shaking uncontrollably and his body temperature rising. Karite could feel the blood inside his body rush to parts of his body he never knew needed so much blood. As she drew back Karite drew in the bitter taste of the air around him with his head back. Looking down at her he smiled. "I guess you are right, let me get this in the water and we can pick up where we left off." Karite turned and breathed in deeply licking a little of Orika from his lips before pushing the rest of his logs into the water. Turning around Karite smiled. "Were we picking up where we left off or where we going to find Shisei and Kore?" Karite laid down another charming toothed smile as he looked at the reason the stars seemed so dim on this island. "It has been awhile since I have heard anything out of the ordinary in this wasteland as well.

“I don’t need to be found.” the serpent youth stated as he appeared through the forest. His frame had taken longer because he had to try and retrace the steps he took, but the falling precipitation had long erased those tracks. Eventually he was making his way back, but was deterred when his form came across another bunny. The snake child used his wits to try and snare another prey to head back with. That would have made five. Unfortunately the rabbit was smarter in this round and Shisei ended up with his hand getting bitten. Not as bad as the mongoose that bit him long ago, but still an undesired ending. His left carried the four hares by the ears while his right had the two wooden instruments that he used to inflict death. The gold eyes looked around awaiting to see the marvelous carriage that would carry all these dead creatures, but found nothing. Just a few logs floating in the river. The youth gave a small groan. It seemed his peers did not get very far in creating something. “Is this all….?” Shisei stated slightly agitated. He had also purposely walked slower so that they could finish some type of device. “I should have stayed and done it myself….” the snake sighed.

Pick up where they left off? Orika giggled and looked at the raft, then back at Karite, his silver eyes gleaming brightly under the nearly full moon. From this angle, he looked more like some otherworldly being than a boy. Of course, she'd already known that. When Shisei barged into the clearing, the moment was ruined and Orika was forced to glare at the traitorous snake. She rolled her eyes and hopped over to the water, vines in hand. Orika found a sizable boulder and pushed it to the edge of the floating rafts to make sure they wouldn't float away. With a little trouble, but managing to get it after a few minutes, she secured the vines under and around the logs, using the rock as a stepping stone. The river at this point was shallow enough to not even come up to her ankle, which really helped in tying that final knot. "All aboard!" Orika shouted with a cheeky grin. She was looking forward to getting home and maybe taking a bath, hopefully not alone. The farm girl started dumping their meat on the raft, only once stealing a glance at Shisei's 4 rabbits in contempt. She didn't want to admit it, but he'd done a good job of securing that meat. After everyone was aboard and their quarry loaded, Orika tiredly tossed the rock holding the raft in place to the side, grabbed a long stick to use an an oar, and pushed off. The seas were calm tonight so the journey home shouldn't take longer than half an hour, which was remarkable considering just how much weight they were carrying. Orika grinned as she thought about how she'd come to call the Tategami Grounds home. Actually, for right now, she'd call the Ghost Ship home as long as it gave her a bed to sleep in. Orika scooted closer to Karite and sat down on her crutches, reaching out to take his hands as the raft sped along. What a wonderful conclusion to one of the hardest days she'd had in her life!

Karite smiled when Shisei entered in his usual manner. He was so happy Shisei couldn't infect his mood with his venomous nature. "Nice to see you still alive Shisei. We are almost done." Looking around Karite didn't see Kore. "We need one more member to our party." Whistling as loud as the boy could he waited for a minute knowing that could have drawn any hunter in the forest right to them. Luckily Kore was already on his way. Poking out a bush carrying quite the catch was none other the his little buddy Kore. "Hey buddy, its time to go back to the grounds and get you cleaned up and fed." Karite took the rabbits from the cub and rubbed his hand gently making his fur stand up. Smiling again he motioned to the raft. Looking at Shisei again he smiled. "Looks like you came out on top again. You got one more rabbit then Kore. That's quite impressive snake eyes." Walking by him he jumped onto the raft and sat the rabbit down with the rest of the kills. Kore climbed up into the boys lap and laid their waiting to return to Baki. Feeling Orika's hand slid into his he grasped it gently but in a manner that made her know this was perfect. He wondered if there was any hot water around, he could use a bath and so could she...with him.
Kore was looking around for Karite and the others but with the blood of the rabbits right under his nose it was hard to smell anything other then blood. Suddenly a sharp tone he had become familiar with rang through the forest and very close by. Walking up to a bush he moved through and poked his head through the other side his ears pinned to his head and his eyes big. Looking side to side he saw the three day walkers. Walking out Karite greeted him with a large smile and a pet on the head. Kore loved that, it always felt so good and meant he was doing good. What Karite said caused the cub to raise his ears and move his head to the side before bounding up and down. They were going back to the grounds, but then the cub stop bounding and hissed at the boy. Cleaning up meant water and water was not the cubs friend. Yet the boy pointed to the raft and the cub walked without difficulty. He would find a way to escape the water if it mean digging a hole in the ground. As they got on the boat the cub laid in Karite's lap and looked as they sailed down the water. It was a long day and soon it would all be worth it.

After the snake survivor said his words he could see the red brown eyes of his peer glower at him. Shisei only stared emotionlessly, waiting to see what she would do. Finally the vixen hobbled off into the water to fix up the raft. Petulant obedience. It would have brought a smile to the snake’s face if he were alone. Instead his hearing took in Karite’s voice. They were almost done indeed. Orika had a fervent work ethic for putting the raft together. As she did that, the emerald hair youth made a loud whistle that pierced through the trees and made the maverick wince. The child stood as the two teens did their work. Kore soon appeared with three rabbits in his jaw. Happily and probably ready to eat it. The reaper praised Shisei for his quantity of rabbits over Kore. It surprised the Orochi born. He wasn’t expecting that from him and did not know what to express so his face remained impassive and his voice silent. “All aboard!” Orika yells out and then the poetic thief walks onto the raft with the lion. Everything looked as it would hold. The animals strapped to middle and rising like a small hill off of the raft.
The two preteens took a seat in the front of the raft. Not wanting to be so close, Shisei went climbed up upon the animals and stayed on top. The little raft sailed off with the sounds of chirping and singing of the forest insects. The youth peered around into the darkness. His mind had made a mental map of where his concealed armaments were. His brain was also contemplating when would be a good time to sneak off and practice with the weapons. Perhaps early in the morning. No. It may have to be a time when he wasn’t in the lioness’s company. Which reminded him. Just what were Orika and Karite going to say about their weapons? Were the two actually going to carry them back? The short form stood at the edge of the corpse hill staring down at the two. The pair was shoulder to shoulder, holding hands. The gold orbs stared at the two for a minute analyzing the situation. “Karite the Reaper…. One searching for a family?” the snake kid considered. Why search for a new family though? Didn’t he already have one? Perhaps not. He could be a war orphan. Maybe that was his need to find family. Taking into account the scene before little serpent’s eyes, perhaps he did find it. He calls Kore family. Tohika Orika is without a doubt closer to him ever since that incident in the barn. Then once he was accepted into the Tategami clan he would have his family. The farm girl’s wants and desires were unknown to Shisei. Whatever it was hopefully she had found it too within Karite.
Turning away in the opposite direction, Orochi born laid back on top of the boar. Gold eyes peered into the starry and cloudy sky. He was cold, but there was one way the boy knew to warm himself up. His fingers formed the seal of the ram and began to pour his chakra out. The light blue energy began to grow and wrap around him, coiling like two worms. Already the tiny frame was starting to thaw from his frost covered skin. The amber suns looked up into the dark sky. The loner still needed to find what he sought. The first step to that would for him to be the best.

{Winter - 4} Batsu could see through the canopy that the pitch black state of the forest had been caused by the lack of sun overhead. Batsu's wings were aching from constant and difficult flight and his eyes were getting tired from having to track the thieving fowl as he flew. Batsu wanted this chase over with. It was time to step it into overdrive. The illustrious Hawk-eagle flexed his wings and straightened completely, putting himself into the most aerodynamic position he could be without dive-bombing straight into the unforgiving brush below. In front of him he could see his target flying sloppier than before. The thief was getting rather close to hitting a number of trees but dodging them in a rather inelegant way at the last second. The bird was clearly getting tired. Batsu could tell he was gaining but he was having a bit of trouble with avoiding trees himself. He pressed on, not willing to give up on his quest for vengeance.

[Winter -4] Batsu's heart raced as he watched the distance between him and his target close dramatically. He could almost taste the victory. He hadn't even decided what he was going to do to the perpetrator of this heinous offense yet. To be honest he only had a very vague memory of what the offending bird had done to him that called for this kind of action. He was pretty sure it had something to do with . . . a box maybe? That sounded right to him. What was done with that box as it pertained to his prey was not as easy to recall. It didn't really matter. He could just interrogate the dammed creature once he had captured it. A task thats completion was coming closer and closer with each passing moment.
At this point Batsu was only evading the deadly foliage by a feather at each turn. His

Karite came into the forest on a single mission. He was here to pick up his staff and knuckles. The staff would be better hide in the back training room of the academy and easier to find. As he trecked through the forest he came to the trap Orika had built to capture the deer. He had actually hidden the weapon within the trap itself. Looking in between the vines the boy found the red staff shinning through the almost dead vines. Pulling it out he rubbed his hands over it happy to feel the weapons touch again. He could feel the energy from that night flow back into him. The night he had lost his privilege to wield a weapon of any sort. As he held the weapon he began to spin the staff in his palm. As the staff was horizontal with the ground the boy gripped it switching its direction around its body before shooting it forward like a pool stick aimed gut high. He was surprised at how well he handled the weapon considering the first time he ever used a staff he was poor excuse for a boy let alone a shinobi. His skills had grown considerably since he had arrived so long ago.

Karite had kept still in this form for some time now letting the little wind in the forest blow through him as one arm was held firm behind his back the tip of the staff barley held. He let go letting the staff slide upwards. As it did the boy raised a arm into the sky and spun in a circle before bring the staff down to the ground. As he did he spun it low sweeping the ground. The boy was getting better even now. His swings were quicker and his strikes fiercer. As he finished sweeping he used the low stances to allow him to flip backwards giving himself some distance. As he breathed slightly heavier than normal he smiled. This was one of his favorite places on the island. No one around and plenty of interesting ways to get in trouble.

Karite lightly placed one of the ends of the red staff on the ground. As he looked around he saw a circle of black shadows closing in on him. As if in a trance he began to dance. Taking his bare foot closest to the staff he swung it forward and let it kick back to swing the staff backwards. Hitting the first shadow in the jaw. As the staff swung over Karite's shoulder he added his own strength into the equation bringing it down on the second shadows skull. As the staff hit the ground the boy moved with the momentum and came at an angle. Now stepping with his strike the boy lunged and spun and twisted all around. As the staff become nothing more than a red blur it flew into the air. Karite stood breathing heavy with a single strand of hair out of place. It was like a majestic tango fiery and full of passion. As he fixed his hair. The staff fell and the boy caught it. "What a work out that was."

Karite walked over to a tree and placed the staff gently against it. He was happy with how strong his staff skills had gotten in the past months. However replaying his fight with Maya in his mind he used a move that did not work as well as he had hoped. If he was going to continue trying moves like that he was going to have to practice harder than ever before.
Breathing he remembered how he felt during the fight. Carefree and light, almost as if he was being carried by air. That was what he need to remember but to be hard as steel in order to finish the move. This was his defense breaker. As he ran forward he began to roll forward again his gloved hands digging into the ground beneath him. As his body followed the roll his legs were swinging forward. And he found his hands being ripped from the ground slinging the boy forward. Rolling along the ground for a few seconds Karite landed on his bum. Shaking it off the boys eyes rolled in his head.

Karite chuckled a little bit. It was funny that he knew the move well but the only thing against him right now was the terrain. As he stood he turned around and smiled. Running again the boy had a trick up his sleeve that might make this work better. As he began to run he began to roll again. Instead of using both hands the boy only used one and used the other to balance his body out right. As his legs came over with the full force he landed on his feet bring up a fist with it arching his body forward. It was a good move but it left him open for retaliation. He would have to toughen up his body in order to make sure he could take a blow. he learned that from Maya's fight as well. Tanu couldn't touch him now though.

Karite was pleased with results of that one but he wondered if it always needed a running start. Questioning the thought himself Karite remembered the back flips he just practiced. It would help if anyone ever snuck up on him. Shisei was a prime example, that sneaky b*****d was to quiet sometimes. Karite smiled as he though of Shisei trying to be loud. I was just to funny to imagine. Taking a breath to regain his focus Karite tried to excute his new manuver.
Remembering the practice from the academy the shinobi bent his frame and quickly flipped backwards with only half his strength. As he landed on both his hands he managed to bring his legs around. Anyone behind that one would have been on the ground for sure.

Karite was surprised it went that well. He had gotten much better but he wanted to try this technique on something that would show just how hard he could hit. As he looked around he noticed a stomp in the far corner fo the trap. It wasnt much but it would have to do. Setting his sights on his target Karite began to run towards the stump. His body beginning to hug the ground. The closer he got to the stump the lower his body moved. As he neared he began to drag his fingers in the dirt collecting particles under his nails. Then he dug in as an achor and his body flipped as if a weight had been tied to it and it ran out of slack. In the air his legs rotated their full degrees and landed on the stump with a good thud sound. As the boy retracted his legs and flipped back giving some distance he brushed his hands onto his pants and looked at the damage he had caused. It was significant but it was a starting point. "Looks, like I have done enough for today. I should get back before Shinchi-sama finds out I left."
Placing the staff back into the workings of the vines Karite picked up the iron knuckles and slid them into the back of his pants. Pulling his s**t and vest over them the boy began to run back to the others at the training grounds.
