"I think you'll do fine," Keegan nodded to Kasiya, shrugging off Flannery's comments. "You have Digger and Flash, to name a few, you should tear through Wattson without much difficulty." He took the Great Ball Kasiya had held out to him and looked at it, smiling. "And yes, I do know that we have to go back to Lavaridge. We were planning on doing that after the Beach Party in a few days, that way we don't have to rush anything." In truth, he really did want to rush to Lavaridge, as he couldn't wait for the match to begin. But, he knew the party was important to Kasiya, and he didn't want her to miss it. He watched her place a Pokeball on the tray, wondering which Pokemon she'd send him temporarily. Without a second thought he placed Tierra's Great Ball in the adjoining tray, and looked to both girls for a split second before turning his gaze back to the machine. "Here goes..." he said, looking towards Kasiya as he flipped the switch.
PostPosted: Thu Apr 17, 2008 4:55 pm

Kasiya watched excitedly as the two spheres were pulled inside the machine, and looked to the screen as the silhouettes of a Larvitar and Graveler appeared. The two flashed for a second before swapping places, and the machine paused for a second before the two balls reappeared in the opposite trays they were in before. "Take good care of Ada," she said with a chuckle as she lifted the Great Ball from its place. Within a second of it touching her hand, it began to shake for a second or so before it opened, causing the Graveler to appear before them. Kasiya couldn't help but giggle as the Rock-type was sound asleep, and didn't seem to notice as her body began to glow with that telltale white light.

"I can get us to Lavaridge no problem. I borrowed a friend's Salamence so it'll have no problem carrying two of us, and Kasiya can fly with Fang," Flannery said, not exactly eager to get pummeled twice in the same day, but stopped talking as she watched the two trainers trade Pokemon. "What's this...?" she asked curiously, taking a step forward as the Graveler began to evolve. Her shoulders and even her usually bouncy hair seemed to slump as she let out an exasperated sigh.

".....aw, crap."

"Heh, no problem," Keegan laughed, watching as the two Pokemon were exchanged. He nodded at Flannery's suggestion, but couldn't help but wonder if Fang was really trustworthy enough to carry Kasiya all the way to Lavaridge. He took the Pokeball from the train and held it up, releasing the not-so-little Larvitar so she could see what was happening. Adamantine looked up at him with a confused gaze, but decided not to question it. He was holding her Pokeball, and that was enough to tell her that he was in charge (at least for now). The Larvitar turned as the Graveler was released and suddenly began to change. Her second pair of arms disappeared just as readily as they had initally formed, and her feet and legs grew larger and thicker. Her body grew rapidly in size, and when it was all finished, a fully-grown Golem stood (well, actually sat) where the Graveler once had. Keegan slapped his palm against his forehead as he realized that Tierra had slept through the entire process. "Only you," he chuckled, bending down to pat the Larvitar on the head.

Kasiya watched Keegan with Ada, knowing full well that if this trade was permanent that he'd do a perfectly fine job of raising her. However, she felt the same longing she had when she'd traded Ariel to Sabrina in order to evolve Oracle into Alakazam, and she quickly recalled Tierra into her Great Ball and set it in the tray. "Nicely done," she said, noting the look on Keegan's face. "You don't need to worry about Fang," she told him sharply. "I think he'd surprise you with just how much he's grown up in the past few weeks." Kasiya tapped her fingers against her thigh somewhat impatiently, eager for them to trade Pokemon once again. "I'll be alright flying with Fang. I'm sure it's the Salamence that'll give you trouble," she said, but then realized she didn't know what a Salamence was.

"You don't have to worry about Cera," Flannery said, shrugging. "She's as gentle as a Hoppip. Probably about as docile, too." She held up the Ultra Ball that contained the powerful dragon, and smiled. "Sometimes it's good to have people owe you favours." She put the sphere back into her pocket and nudged Keegan. "You might want to trade Kasiya back her Larvitar now. She's looking a bit antsy there." She smirked at Kasiya, who only stuck out her tongue in reply. "We could go and get these gym battles out of the way today and come back here tomorrow. I'm sure Wattson's gym will still be standing in the morning," she said, shrugging at her own suggestion. Again, it wasn't that she was eager to lose, she just found herself strangely looking forward to the upcoming battles.

Keegan just grinned and wordlessly recalled the Larvitar into her Pokeball. He set it in the tray and started the trade sequence, watching as the two Pokemon were given back to their rightful owners. What a process it was... all that machinery, when in his mind's eye he could see him handing Kasiya Ada's Pokeball and saying 'Here ya go!' He took the Great Ball from the tray and placed it back on the strap around his waist. It might have been his imagination, but he thought for a second that the Great Ball was a lot heavier than he imagined...

"Well, as long as you're sure Fang will be all right. You're precious cargo, as far as I'm concerned," he said with a chuckle, although quickly moved to correct himself. "Not that you're actual cargo or baggage or anything like that... you know what I mean, right? Precious? As in you're precious... to me? Heh...." Stop talking before she kills you, he thought, forcing another smile. "But yeah, if you guys wanna go now, that's fine with me," he went on, hoping to change the subject before he dug himself a deeper hole. A way with words, that's what I have, he thought, mentally bashing his head off of the wall.
PostPosted: Thu Apr 17, 2008 5:53 pm

Kasiya set Adamantine's Pokeball back onto her belt and smiled at Keegan, laughing as he tried not to insult her. On the wrong day, that probably would have offended her, but today, it certainly didn't. "I think that's a sweet way to put it," she said, sidling up to him and planting a kiss on his nose. "Flannery's right though, we could go to Lavaridge, and head back here tomorrow. It's a lot quicker to head back here from Lavaridge rather than to go both ways." She kissed him once more before heading over to the computer and imputing her information. It would only be for a short time, but she decided to send Allie back to Professor Oak's while Fang was brought back into her party. It felt good to have the Crobat back with her, even though it hadn't been that long since she'd seen him.

"Oh geez," Flannery rolled her eyes at the sight of the two, but couldn't help but smile. It's good to see that Keegan has found someone, she mused, her own thoughts drifting back towards Mike. I wonder what he's up to... Mind you, had she known exactly what he was up to at that very moment, she probably would have killed him for being so hot-headed and reckless.

Ray slowly got up and rubbed off the berry dripping on his forehead. He reached for his belt and took out the pokeball. "Now it's my turn Flame! Time for you to go in." Flametail's eyes opened wide and he ran back and forth. Ray let out an evil laugh, "Flametail!" Before he could finish the next word, his Charmander ran as thrown baseball toward Ray, headbutting him in his stomach and knocking the pokeball out Ray's hand with his tail. Ray was on the ground holding his stomach, Flame finished with multiple Scratch attacks across his face.

Flametail ran in circles around Ray, laughing. Ray's face was a giant chess board. "You are so going to pay." Bits of tears fell down his face. He reached into his bag and pulled out a bottle of alcohol. "Oh, you're really going to pay." Ray spent the next moments screaming in pain while dabbing his wounds with alcohol.

Keegan could feel his cheeks go red as Kasiya's soft lips brushed against his nose, and then his own lips. He happily returned the kiss, but sighed with disappointment as she turned to make the Pokemon switch. "What are you looking at?" he sneered at Flannery, but then grinned to show he'd only been joking. In his younger days, he'd actually had a bit of a crush on the redheaded girl, years before she ever became Lavaridge's Gym Leader. It was plainly obvious for anyone to see, however, that she only had eyes for Mike and vice versa, although the two had spent a lot of time being too thick-headed to notice the other's affections. Keegan shook his head at the memories, wishing that he'd just locked them in a room together and been done with it, but no, he'd decided to let them find each other on their own. It was silly how love games were played.

He looked to Kasiya who was now gazing longingly at the Pokeball that held her Crobat, and he walked up to her and put a hand on her shoulder. "Ready to do this?" he asked, nodding to the sphere. And are you absolutely certain that Fang isn't going to decide to deposit you in the volcano instead of safely on the ground?

"Why did you call back Ariados? What happened to letting the pokemon fight until it's given everything you can get from it?" He was right, there was no way Crenu really believed in that kind of pokemon training. Even he had to care for his pokemon enough to pull them back when it got to rough. This must have shown on Ky's face because he could see Crenus grin fade.

"Don't get the wrong idea Ky, a pokemon's job is to be useful to it's trainer. The only way my pokemon can be useful to me is to give every last drop of their power whenever I ask them to. I called back Ariados because I had to, it was the least I could do to be fare. You didn't weaken my Ariados with your Totodile, so I shall return the favor. Under normal circumstances I wouldn't care, but you can't beat my Larvitar even at full strength. Consider it a gift. Larvitar, finish this!" The grin on Crenu's face returned as he cast Larvitar's pokeball into the field and watched as his very first pokemon took the field last.

Ky was fuming, how could Crenu say those things? Did he really intend to return if Ky won, he wasn't even sure he would want him to come back regardless. But he wanted to win even more now, and that's what he intended to do. "You're gonna regret that Crenu! I'm gonna show you just how strong we've become! Your on Little Guy, we won't lose!" Little Guy's pokeball entered the arena and without needing an explanation, he knew how serious this was. One look at his opponents and he knew, this battle was for real. He remembered the last time they fought, but he was stronger now, much stronger. He chirped with a determination equal to Ky's.

"Heh heh, good. You can't beat me Ky, you're at a severe type disadvantage here. Your flying moves are next to nothing, and I can take any psychic moves you may have. But your Natu can't take to many hits from my dark or rock attacks. You've lost this one ky, just give up. Maybe next time."

"You said it before right, there's more than one way to attack an opponent. Little Guy, hit him with Confusion Ray!" Little guy flapped his wings rapidly and faked forward, a peculiar ball of light coming outward at Larvitar.

"Hmm? Larvitar move!" As the ball moved closer to him Larvitar jumped to the side in order to avoid the attack. As he leaped the ball took a strange turn towards him, but missed.

"Again, Confusion Ray!" Little Guy repeated his performance and fired another ball at Larvitar.

It was around twenty minutes later when Miharu parked and locked her bike outside of the Goldenrod City Pokemon Center. She made her way inside, looking around in awe at all the trainers strewn about. She recognized most of them from the bug catching contest, and she received a couple of respectful nods as well as several annoyed glares. Deciding she didn't care one way or the other what other people though, she placed her five Pokeballs into a tray and slid it towards the nurse, who was looking severely overworked. "It's gonna be a while," she said, taking the tray and shooing Miharu away from the desk. "An hour at least."

Miharu said nothing and headed back outside, looking at her bike. What was she going to do for a whole hour, and whens he only had one healthy Pokemon at that? Deciding the Mach Bike was safe enough where it was, she decided to investigate the gym again. She did feel a little vulnerable with only Lily at her side, although she knew the Bulbasaur was capable of holding her own. She decided to let the grass type out for some fresh air, plus the company would be pretty nice while they awaited the return of the other Pokemon. Lily materialized in front of her, the pretty pink flower petals dancing around her as usual. The Bulbasaur looked around for a moment before extending a long, olive green vine and wrapping it around Miharu's wrist, and the duo began to walk towards the gym.

"This puzzle..." Kilik panted, standing on the warp pad that had brought him into the room, "is impossible!" He fell to his knees and gripped his head, letting out a yell of exasperation. He clamped his eyes shut tight and sighed heavily. For the past forty-five minutes, he'd been trying to figure the blasted puzzle out. Hacking into the computer and finding the map had been no help whatsoever. He didn't remember a blasted thing. Standing up and sighing heavily, Kilik eyed the pads before him.

On sheer luck and on his last try, he managed to make it all the way to the last group of three pads way on the other end of the hall. However, he took the wrong pad and it warped him all the way back to the start. He lifted a thumb to his lips and bit it lightly, so that it wouldn't bleed. He'd have to remember each pad he took, and frankly they were all beginning to look the same. Kilik ran a hand through his hair, which had somehow gone back to it's normal shape even after being in the rain.

"Alright, first to the left." He stepped on the pad and appeared on the other side of the bars, a familiar feeling that he'd gone through many times before. Kilik preened, "Now to the one in the middle." He stepped on that warp pad as well, disappearing through the light and appearing once more a bit further down the hall. "This is cake. I've got this down to a science. Now for the left pad again." He stepped on that pad and finally made it to the other end of the hall, standing with two pads remaining to his right.

"I took the center pad last time and it sent me all the way back to the front..." he scratched his chin, "So obviously, I take the far left pad!" Kilik broke into a run, jumping clean over the middle pad and landing on the target zone.

What he saw on the other end of the pad was quite unexpected. He gulped and stared around. It appeared to be a small office with two very large and very angry looking Electrode in front of him. "Oh boy..." Kilik sighed. Taking up Lairon's Great Ball, he smirked. "Lemme take care of you two for a bit of training."

"I'm ready," Kasiya nodded, putting her hand on top of Keegan's. She could tell by the look on his face that he wasn't entirely convinced that Fang would bring her there safely, and she was sure that the only way Keegan would change his mind about the Crobat was to have Fang fly her to Lavaridge and get her there in one piece. Kasiya didn't doubt her Pokemon, and she was having a hard time understanding why she seemed to be the only one. But he's changed so much, she thought, squeezing the red and white sphere in her hand. And she didn't just mean attitude-wise, either. It seemed like not that long ago when he was still just a tiny little Zubat and he was always clinging to the back of her head happily. Then again, he still tried to cling to her even after he became a Golbat. Regardless though, he'd still saved her life several times, and that was more than enough to prove to her that he was trustworthy.

"What about you, Flannery? Do you think Fang is all right for the job?" she asked, holding the Pokeball close to her chest.

Flannery raised an eyebrow, toying with the Ultra Ball she held in her hand. "Of course I think he'll be fine," she said, tossing it up and catching it. "I suggested you fly on Fang in the first place, didn't I?" When Kasiya nodded, she smirked. "See? No big deal. If you say Fang can handle it then I'm with you. He obviously adores you and I know you feel the same about him, otherwise he never could have evolved from a Golbat, no?" When no one spoke up, she continued. "Let's get a move on, then. We're losing daylight here, people." She gestured for them to follow her as she went outside, putting her hands on her hips and looking up at the sky before releasing the mighty Salamence. The dragon materialized before them, studying the other two trainers before turning her gaze towards Flannery. "We're returning to Lavaridge, Cera," she said, patting the dragon's shoulder as it knelt down to allow the gym leader to climb on. She did, holding out a hand to help Keegan if he'd need it.

Kasiya followed Flannery outside, feeling much better after her little 'speech.' She had been right though; as long as she knew Fang was trustworthy and could be relied on, who cared if no one else did? She wore a wide grin as she threw the Pokeball, releasing the green Crobat in his traditional shower of green and gold sparkles. Fang screeched happily before flying his trademark three laps around Kasiya before coming to a stop in front of her, waiting for instruction. Kasiya giggled and patted him on the head. "We're going to be flying to Lavaridge," she told him. "Remember where it is?" If he doesn't, we'll just follow the Salamence, she thought, stifling a giggle. However, Fang just nodded and allowed Kasiya to get on his back. "Let's go then!" she called out, and Fang pushed off from the ground, his wings making no noise even as he carried his trainer through the air.

Mike wasn't anything like a coward, but he was far from stupid. He knew that as a rule, the grunts of Team Aqua were generally much beefier than those from Team Magma. And it just so happens that one of those particularly musclebound young man was throwing a punch right in his general direction. Prickles let out a shriek and ran back up the stair flailing his arms, the element of surprise was lost anyway.

"Detect!" Mike shouted somewhat jokingly as he quickly fumbled to the side, almost dodging the attack. The humor of the situation was lost pretty fast, the 'Mega Punch' connecting with his left shoulder. Mike let out a sharp grunt as the hit caused him to spiral to the ground forcefully. He gasped for air, clawing the ground for a moment in fright as he managed to cough some air back into his lungs.

"It's super effective, intruder brat!" The Grunt laughed, cracking his knuckles and rearing back for another shot. He launched his meaty hand towards the Magma boy, but staggered back as the area exploded in smoke. He threw his arm over his face and coughed, angrly stumbling back. "Where'd you go you punk?!" He shouted angrily.

Mike had scrambled to his feet and dashed forward, hiding behind one of the generators to catch his breath. Thanks again Mom! He planned to give the crazy woman the biggest kiss in history next time he was home. "Okay, now it's time to settle this like real trainers!" Mike unclipped one of his Pokeballs and spun around towards where he last saw the Grunt. As soon as the generator was not blocking his view, the close up fist of the Aqua member was. "s**t!" Mike shrieked, dropping to the ground quickly. Amusingly, his 'evasive maneuver' caused the Grunt to trip and fall flat on his face. Now it was Mike's turn to laugh. "The bigger they are...yadda yadda yadda." The boy trailed off, smugly grinning at the fallen man.

Furious, the Grunt spun around, a Great Ball in hand. "Okay you little pest, now I'm angry! Go Nidorino!" The man practically slammed the Ball to the ground, releasing the Poison Pin Pokemon.

Mike raised an eyebrow. "That's not very Aqua of you." He shrugged, releasing Napalm from his Pokeball.
PostPosted: Mon Apr 21, 2008 10:50 am

"Dude, it's a motif, not protocol." The Grunt gave Mike an annoyed look, as he crossed his arms. "What, you think we'd all use Carvanha and Golbat?"

"And Tentacool, but yeah, I kinda did." Mike shrugged, and the two foes shared a moment of silence. The boy awkwardly scratched his head, looking around the room. The drumming of the generator returned now that he actually paid attention to it. Napalm tapped his foot nervously, eying the large spiked purple creature ahead of him.

The Grunt shook his head forcefully, as if to snap himself back into reality. "Okay, back to buisness punk, you're going down! Nidorino, Peck attack!" He slammed a clenched fist into his palm, a rather loud clapping noise echoing throughout the room.

"Peck?" the Magma boy mused. "Isn't that a Flying Pokemon move?" It didn't look like the Nidorino had a beak. Then again, he'd never seen one before, so it could have been part Flying for all he knew. "Well Napalm, let's give your Faint Attack a shot!"

The Nidorino let out a bellow and began to charge, it's claws clicking on the tile floor as it ran. Napalm hopped into the air, disappearing from sight and reappearing right in front of the Poison Pin Pokemon to kick it in the face. It hurt, however, it didn't pack enough punch to stop it, and the Nidorino threw its head upward, sending the small Fire Pokemon flailing to the ground.

"Okay, that was good," Mike called out, wondering what move to use next. "What about your Psychic?"

The Magby smiled, he did ever so love using this attack. The Live Coal Pokemon shut his eyes, a blue glow lining his body.

"Psychic!? Nidorino, Double Kick!" The Grunt looked shocked. "Hit him before he gets that move off!" With an equal look of anxiety, the Pokemon lunged forward, planting two kicks on the concentrating Pokemon. The Fire Pokemon was sent flying in the air once again, the Aqua Grunt snapped his fingers with a happy 'Ha!'.

"Not so fast Waterboy!" Mike smirked, looking at his airborne Pokemon. "Now Napalm!" He shouted. On command, the Magby froze mid fall, his eyes bright blue. With a motion of his hands, Napalm lifted the Nidorino up into the air with him. The two Pokemon locked eyes for the briefest of moments, before the Fire Pokemon threw Nidorino back down to the ground.

The girl looked over her shoulder, waving to one of her Pokemon. "Hey Lotad, it's time for a battle!" Upon hearing her voice, the small, greenish Pokemon with the dish-shaped leaf on its head wandered forward happily, stopping by its trainer's side. It looked up at Jaeshan and grinned with its bill-like mouth.

Almost instantly Combusken stepped forward, glaring down at the little Pokemon intensely. She probably would have started to attack had she not felt Jaeshan's hand on her head, and she looked up at him, pouting. "Not yet," he told her gently. "You've got to give the other Pokemon a chance to battle too, eh?" Combusken backed down somewhat reluctantly, eying the Lotad with distaste. It wouldn't have been much of a challenge anyway, and she scoffed, folding her arms in annoyance. "There's my girl," Jaeshan chuckled, giving her a playful nudge. "All right Beldum, time for action!" The Pokeball left Jaeshan's hand, and the silver Beldum appeared in a show of silvery-white sparkles. It looked around for a moment, taking in its surroundings. When it saw the other trainer and the Lotad, it let out a squeaking-type sound and hid behind Jaeshan, peeking out from behind his legs. Combusken rolled her eyes and moved towards the sidelines, but stayed ready in case Jaeshan called on her. After a moment or two of coaxing, Jaeshan managed to convince Beldum to stop hiding, and now the floating Pokemon looked down at the Lotad with its single, crimson eye, unsure of what it thought of the Water Weed.

"Okay Lotad, start off with your Astonish!" the female trainer shouted. Surprisingly enough, the little Pokemon jumped up and was somehow able to glide a little using the leaf on its head. It let out a cry as it smashed into Beldum, knocking them both backwards.

"Take Down!" Jaeshan said, knowing full well that was all he could get the Pokemon to do. However, Beldum only hovered in one spot, trembling slightly. "It flinched...." he murmured, sighing. This was already looking bad.
