"Oooh Blade. I must admit that I'm bordering on impressed. You actually hit something this time! On your first shot too, looks like this might be a game worth watching." CD grinned and took a sip from her drink, leaning one elbow back on the bar, her eyes shifting to almost the same shade as Lilliums firey red hair. She tucked a strand of hair back behind her ears and glanced at the red head beside her out the corner of her eye. So, you ready to be one of the guys sweetheart?

((Hell, Stranger, I just made up Modified Paris rules. This is going to be entirely off of my guessing and hot luck.))

Valco looked around for a moment, stalking around the table like some kind of beast might do to its prey. The balls weren't set up for any big combinations at the moment, but there was one thing that he could see that might provide some kind of interesting way at some points. The cue ball had come to rest just to the side of center on the table, and the 9 ball was sitting nearby, looking at Valco as if to dare him to make the shot. "Three rails to nine ball, left corner." He leaned out over the table slightly, bracing the cue with his right fingers, cold metal hinges not feeling the wooden shaft as he deadened the nerves in them. The shot only took a moment to line up and he let fly. The cue ball bounced off of one...two...then three rails before colliding into the nine. It began rolling, keeping just enough speed to topple into the left corner pocket. "Well, Blade, that's two for you and seven for me. Where's your game at, man?" He laughed quietly, stepping back away from the table as he heard a beep from his comlink. What's up?

-=Sergius=-

Alright, Valco...*cough* Well, I took that s**t that James bought and I'm en route back to the Gestalt to get them installed. If you guys can burn a few hours I'll be there with the transport and we can keep on rolling, maybe make it into Tunisia before the end of Thursday night.

-=Valco=-
"Looks like we're gonna be here for a few hours, guys. Sergius is headed back to the Gestalt and he's gonna get everything patched up and start heading back our way. All that we have to do is kick back and relax." He moved back to the side of the bar facing the pool table and sat down, calling over another drink. The barkeep, suddenly feeling a bit more 'hospitable' from a group that entered into the back of the bar set out a round of drinks for all of them with a quick mumble of "On the house."

However...fascinating it was to watch two men play pool, Lillium was quickly growing bored. She couldn't very well clean her gun which happened to be her hobby while she had no missions. Her head tilted a little bit in contemplation as she saw Valco sit down. Looking towards him she could easily see CD and felt an internal grin of pure evil. There was something between those two. Perhaps it was only one sided on CD's behalf which made things all the sweeter.

She called for another one of her drinks and snatched up Valco's drink from the bartender before her got it. Sliding off the barstool she sauntered over to the captain, her new captain...temporarily. Even sitting he was still a little taller than she was, but she had grown used to that, realizing that a lot of people were rather tall in this day and age. With one her drink in one hand she rested the other hand on Valco's back. "An interesting way to play pool," she said softly, enough so that he would probably have to lean in to hear her. "Does...anything go as far as shots?"

As Lillium replied to all of Blade's retorts, he just eyed her; stared at her. He even used the tele-optics of his cybereye to zoom in for a close up on her as he inspected this woman; trying to see right through her. Jeeze... he thought. Look at the size of those... eyes on her. It's amazing what 26th century technology is capable of... It was then that CD piped in and began teasing Blade again. "Yeah! Who knows? Maybe I'll get to hit something else later!" he winked at CD as he slowly licked his upper-lip. Of course, Blade wasn't that dense. He could see the little love triangle going on here, and he could also see that he wasn't in it. Blade then went silent as he watched Valco make his shot.... "How the hell was that seven points?" Blade whined. He really didn't see how it added up to seven. Blade was thinking somewhere along the lines of four or five points for that shot, but it didn't matter. Blade now had a shot planned that would absolutely blow Valco's out of the water. "That shot was lame. WEAK!" Blade taunted as he circled around the pool table with that same cocky swagger. "You wanna see my game? I'll show you my game. And once you see my game, your game's over." Blade boasted as he pointed to the striped orange 13 ball. "Take notice of Exhibit-A here... The 13 chillin' right here behind the cue ball, and right in front of the right-corner pocket." Blade explained confidently as he strutted backwards and pointed at another section of the table. "And Exhibit-B back here, behind the cue ball, we got the 4 and the 15 almost touching each other. So can anyone guess my shot?" Blade waited for a moment before piping back in. "First, I'm gonna hit the 13 with the cue, and then the 13's gonna roll around the circumference of the corner pocket, and come back and smack into the cue ball, which is gonna roll into 4 and 15 here, and send the 4 into the right-side pocket, and the 15 into the left-corner pocket." Blade then leaned over the table and braced his cue stick, taking his dear sweet time to line the shot up correctly and precisely.... *CRACK!* Blade made the shot; striking the cue ball, which did, indeed, collide with the 13 and send it into the right-corner pocket. The ball then spun around the circumference of the pocket for a moment, before falling in and sinking. The trick shot was blown, and Blade was left with one measly point. " stressed Blade exclaimed as he shook his head in disappointment. Maaan, ******** pool. Blade internalized in his frustration. The rest of the game would now most likely be a pointless, embarrassing slaughter. I need a smoke...

"Anything goes on the shots, but you have to make a call," he explained, looking into the woman's eyes for a moment before turning back to the table. "You have to hit at least one of the balls that you called to keep from losing points." For a moment he shut up, watching Blade's seemingly impossible shot and learning that it was indeed impossible. "Well, because he called that one and sank it, he didn't lose points," he laughed, rising.

Valco laughed quietly, twirling the cue stick lightly in his hand like a baton as he rose and began walking away from the bar. "Already forgot the rules, huh Blade? Man, it usually takes you until you're at least fifteen down before you start to forget s**t. Two points for each rail played, one for sinking the ball. What you were doing there would have been something like seventeen or eighteen points in itself if you had pulled it off properly." He laughed and paced around the table, examining where the cue was sitting in regards to the rest. He had a few easy shots that would be worth one or two points each, but he was feeling ballsy and wanted to rip the game apart. "Alright," he mumbled, looking around the table. "Two rails, split the 4 and 15 to the right corner and left side respectively." He examined the table again for a moment before lining up his shot. One rail, two rails..."s**t," Valco spat as the ball rolled through a small dip in the table, changing its course. The cue ball rolled off its course, coming to a rest without striking a single of his target balls. "Well, that brings us down five-three, Blade," he said with a laugh, taking another swig of his drink.
((2, 9, 10, 15 all sunk so far))

CD felt her hand clench into a fist at her side, her other tightened a little on her glass. Lillium was starting to really piss her off, for absolutely no rational reason, other then that she was feeling insanely jealous. It wasn't like there was anything serious between her and Valco, they joked around and teased one another, but nothing more then that. There were times she was pretty sure the entire crew forgot she was female, and that actually suited CD just fine most of the time. But this busty, red headed little vixen was infringing upon her territory, and CD felt a sudden urge to lean over and do something to get Valco's attention onto her, and away from the other young woman. Forget it CD, just forget it. Why do you care if he wants the stupid little wretch? Why bother? But she did bother, and she did care. With an effort, she turned her attention back to the game of pool.

"Haha!" Blade laughed as he watched Valco mess up the shot. It was something he hadn't seen in quite some time. "Saru mo ki kara ochiru..." Blade muttered as he circled around the pool table. Now Blade didn't feel so bad, and he actually had a chance to get back in this thing. He bent over the table slightly to line up his shot, figuring that he would try for a shot similar to Valco's. The cue ball had come to a stop almost just adjacent to the 4 and 15. "Alright... the two side rails; same pockets you were going for Valco..." Blade aimed the end of his cue stick slightly to the upper right-hand corner of the ball, just to give it enough spin so that it would hit the rails first, before hitting the targets... *CRACK!* The cue ball spun just past the 14 & 15, colliding with the right-side rail, bouncing back into the left-side rail, and rolling into the 14 & 15 with a considerable amount of speed. The 15 was sent shooting straight into the side pocket, as the 4 rolled towards the left side pocket... it then began to slowly roll... and roll... and roll; just slowly inching along it's intended course before stopping just at the edge of the right-corner pocket. "Dammit." Blade scoffed quietly in his disappointment. But then... *plunk* the 4 sank into the pocket. Blade had completed the shot. Blade jumped in the air, practically clicking his heels as he threw his fist up high in triumph. "YEAH! Hahaha! WOO-HOO! Wait... so, I'm in the lead now... right?"

James had fallen asleep again and his head was drooping down. At Blade's little celebration consisting of a scream and the jump, James shot up like he was getting shot at and looked around expecting to be seeing what he thought was happening. After realising that nothing was going on he looked around and realised that Blade and Valco were still playing pool, which meant that he was either asleep for a long time or had just nodded off for a couple of seconds. Then with a glance around he realised that the new girl was gettinng realy friendly with Valco and he had one thought. Either she's looking for a one night stand, she's a gold digger, she's got some other ulterior motive or I'm still more wasted then I thought. After another second James had one more thought. I think I have to go with the drink thing... I'm still seeing blurry so, yea... I'm still drunk

((Ten thousand apologies for the delay.))

Valco swore under his breath as he watched Blade pull off his shot flawlessly. "Well, looks like ya got me on that one, Blade. You're up on my by 4 now. Lets see if I can get back a little bit." As he walked back toward the pool table a group of people walked into the bar. There was something about them that drew Valco's eye, the servos within his mechanical right eye hissing nearly imperceptibly as they moved the lenses, focusing his vision. It wasn't any particular thing of their facial appearances...to his eyes they looked just like any group of people that might have been out on the street. It was more a thing of how they walked. There was a certain hurriedness to their gait that hadn't been present in any of the downtrodden masses on the streets. He shook it off, though, realizing that it must just be his imagination.

He looked down at the table trying to figure out what he could do. "Lets see," he mumbled, pacing around the table. "Okay. Two rails, Seven ball into the Six and Eight, all three splitting into the pockets." As he leaned over the table another trio of people came out of the back of the bar with the bartender, immediately catching Valco's eye again. There was something more hard edged to these three than there was with the other group already there and Valco reached down his side, cranking up the power on his pistol quickly. Before he made his shot, though, he looked around to the group slowly and forced a quick decision in his mind. "Hey, guys, I want you all to come around here and see this." He smiled and laughed, forcing himself to remain calm while he waited for the whole of his group or, in James' case, stagger over.

As the whole group moved to the side of the table he saw some movement amongst the group, clearly making out the grips of pistols and knives on their bodies. "Don't blink, this is gonna be a hell of a shot." He looked around to the rest of the Wolves, giving them a steel edged glare to let them catch on. As the first of the pistols came out Valco moved his hands to the underside of the pool table. "Get down!" he shouted, flipping up the table to give them all cover as they dropped and a loud chorus of bullet and laser fire hit the table, splintering away the face. He swore at himself for leaving his rifle on the bar but let it fall away, drawing his pistol. <********! Bounty hunters!" He leaned around the edge of the table slightly, firing off a reckless shot before pulling back, gaging the shout of pain as a success. His shot had hit the bartender in his arm, making him drop his pistol for a moment. At the first moment he had realized that the people in his bar were the Crimson Wolves he had contacted his 'friends,' bringing them and their firepower to bear.

CD ducked low behind the up ended pool table, cocking her head to one side as she strained her ears, letting the sensors built into her earrings go to work, picking up sounds beyond human hearing. She muttered to herself, shaking her head and then looked at Valco, her eyes a swirling mess of stormy grey and violent red. "What's the plan boss?" Her hand slipped into the deep pocket of her cargo pants, pulling out her knife. She opened it, holding the handle loosely in her hand as she continued to listen to the commotion. And why didn't I pick up on something sooner . . . because I was probably to busy being some jealous freak . . . . idiot girl . . . CD got up into a crouch, hunched over so she stayed behind the table. She straightened a little getting ready to hurl her knife if she needed to.

Lillium had been intently watching the pool game. It wouldn't be to much longer before the commander showed up. Still it seemed to be taking forever. This was the damned easiest job she'd taken. Just make the prey sit and stay long some mongrel pup and simply wait. She'd get her money without any real effort. That made her grin slightly as she watched the odd game of pool. Blade's shot was dead on and fairly impressive for the mess up he pulled off before. Next it was Valco's shot but something else caught her eye. More people entering the bar. Her eyes narrowed slightly, especially when the ones from the back appeared. Something wasn't right and apparently Valco realized it too.

When Valco called for his team to go over she stayed put. Her eyebrows raised as she waited there. She watched the others join Valco at his side with her lips pursed. The pool table flipped over and the group open fired. She placed her hands on the counter of her bar and rolled back into a partial hand stand and dropped behind the counter. Crossing arms over head she ran past the bartender and simply crashed through a window, rolling to a halt with only minor scratches and bolted from the scene.

"Get down!"

"Jesus!" Blade exclaimed as he jumped; flipping around the pool table, and landing hard on his keister to avoid the sudden barrage of gunfire that was now riddling the pool table. Just as Blade landed, he quickly drew his pistol from it's holster, and whipped back around on his bended knee so that he was facing the pool table. Blade kept his head tucked down under cover, with his eyes facing the floor. He wouldn't even dare try to take a peak over the pool table with this kind of suppressive fire raining down upon them. Blade propped his pistol upwards upon the pool table, still making sure to keep his head tucked down under his arms as he fired a few blind shots toward the ceiling. *BA-BLAM!* *BLAM!* - hoping that he possibly could have shot one of the light fixtures down upon them or something. Blade was in the military, and he damn sure knew what was coming next. This suppressive fire would keep them pinned down and defenseless, until they moved a few units in from the sides to take them down. And this pool table probably wouldn't last much longer with the constant, rapid damage it was taking. They needed an idea, and fast. *VOW!* *KVING!* *SKOW!* "James, keep your damn head down, man!" Blade shouted over the flying and ricocheting bullets whizzing around them as he crawled over his drunken comrade in search of an effective vantage point. Blade made his way to the edge of the pool table, holstering his pistol in favor of his Ripper-Lance Assault Rifle, which was mounted to his back by the straps of it's leather case. Blade laid flat to the floor as he drew the machine gun, and peaked out ever-so-slightly from the side of the table. He watched as the red headed vixen flipped behind the bar, and threw herself out the glass window. Pffft, so much for our new member... Blade thought. Damn. And she was kinda cute too... Blade spied the bartender as he clutched the bullet wound that Valco had just inflicted upon his arm. After Lillium crashed through the window, the barkeeper reached back down and picked up his pistol; pointing it back towards the pool table. Cheeky b*****d...! Blade internalized as he aimed his assault rifle, and fired upon the bartender. *DDDLAAM-VLAM-DLLAM-VAAM!!!* the barkeeper rocked back as his body was pumped and riddled with heavy slug ammunition. Bottles of liquor smashed and busted open; their liquid contents splashing about, and drenching the bartender as they were riddled with the machine gun rounds. *FZSK!* KSHH!* The bar owner quickly crumbled and collapsed to the floor behind the counter.

Once the pool table was flipped James had most of the blurryness shocked out of him for the time being. A few seconds after the shooting started James had gotten his gun out and pulled off the back cartridge before placing in one of his 'special' rounds. Then right before he popped up to shoot he shouted "I'ma firing mah lazor!" The instant after that, with a swift pull of the trigger, a large light shot out towards one pair of the bounty hunters who were hiding behind a smaller table close to the entrance. Without looking to see the effects James ducked back behind the table and looked at the gun before noticing something and almost shouting, "s**t, I jist metted te end'a mah gun." Then he peeked around the side of the pool table and noticed that his shot had taked an arm off of one of the bounty hunters and about half the torso of the other while incenerating straight through to the other side of the street. "I'z gotts ah member thats, they'd be good ganades," he said to himself as he pulled out his backup knife and hoped that he wouldn't have to actualy use it and the others would be able to handle the rest of the bounty hunters. "Ey, werz te new girl? I thot I thot someting waz up wid er," he said not realizing he had spoke that instead of think it.

With all of the fire that the Crimson Wolves were laying off from behind the pool table and given the general lack of cover available to the bounty hunters, they quickly moved behind the bar to reassess their situation. Quiet, rushed voices could be heard in the lull in fire as they set about with a quick plan. Of the seven people that had entered only five were still in fighting shape, though the man that had lost his arm to James' shot was standing at the bar, keeping a man-portable HST aimed at the pool table, rattling off bursts of fire to keep the crew's heads down and tucked back. However, as they were planning Valco started to hatch one of his own patented master plans, hoping that the bounty hunters would act as he planned them to.

"Alright, guys," he whispered, wincing as a slug splintered apart the bar right above his head. "Alright, here's what we'll do. Blade, you're the only one with full auto available to you right now. You're going to pop around on the door side of the table and lay some counter suppressive fire. This guy shooting at us fires a burst about every five seconds, and he alternates which side he's primarily targeting. You need to kill him outright or we're in trouble." He paused, thinking. "CD, once he's got the machine gunner you and I are going to make up toward the bar. I need to get my rifle or this pistol is going to run out of power damn fast." He paused continuing to think and cursing himself out for selling one of his power cells to help pay off all of the parts that they had bought. "James..." He reached over and patted his extremely drunk friend on the shoulder, sighing. "You stay here and cover our backs." If Valco got himself shot it would be nothing to him, but if James got shot carrying out an order of his while drunk, he'd feel absolutely terrible.

((Stranger, don't do anything more than kill off the target. Now, Des, you and I need to wait for his post before continuing because, well, obvious reasons. However, Stranger's post is necessary, followed directly by mine to get the story moving properly.))

"Affirmative." Blade nodded in reply to Valco's order as he began to crawl around his comrades in the direction of the opposite door side of the pool table as instructed. Blade stopped moving just at the edge of the table, listening intently to the alternating short controlled bursts of the machine gunners suppressive fire. Blade waited until just the right moment when the machine gunner switched the focus of his fire to the opposite side of the table, and made his move. Blade quickly whipped around the edge, locking his assault rifle on his intended target, and firing. *DDDLAAM-VLAM-DLLAM!!!* The heavy slug rounds tore through machine gun wielding bounty hunter's torso, tossing and slamming him backwards into the bar counter before his bloody corpse crumpled face down to the floor. Blade quickly pivoted back behind the cover of the pool table as the rest of the bounty hunters focused their gunfire on his end of the table.
