Fury knows the monster is down but not out; and this time, it means to take someone down permanently. Seeing Dancing Sword as the most likely target, Fury screams his denial, forcing the spirits of his ancestors to rise up and interpose themselves between Dancing Sword and the creatures impending attacks. Again, the Death Eyes Curse does what it can to get Fury killed, lashing out at Fluffy for the inevitable Vindictive backlash. Dancing Sword moves in an all-out attack, secure in the knowledge that nothing can hurt him this round...

Moving in for the kill, Vincent slams his Demonic Sword hard into Fluffy, Taking advantage of the Team aspect of Dancing Sword's assist, penetrating the creature's resistance for 11 points of damage. Suspecting tha the creature has one more trick up it's sleeve, Vincent wisely refrains from using his Smash. Dancing Sword delivers his Smash for 5 points of Special damage, while Djanni simultaneously delivers the Shadow Scythe alongside Fury's Death Eyes attack. Fluffy lashes out with it's tentacles once again, dealing 11 points to Luljeta, 3 points to Lazarus, and 1 point to Fury. Dancing Sword is protected from all damage by the My friend ability. Fluffy has the last word in this battle, lashing out with a Vindictive Strike to Vincent for 10 points, Fury for 10 points, and Djanni for 10 points, before finally exploding in shower of acidic goo, that delivers 2 points of Special Damage to every team member except Dancing Sword who ignores the last 3.
Djanni regenerates 5 points.
Fury regenerates 1 point.
Perrian regenerates 1 point.
Vincent regenerates 4 points. (1 Normal, 3 Demonic)

As Lazarus cleans the goo off of his outfit, he then flips the bed over, revealing everything/anything underneath. Then he steps back, looking to Perrian. "Sorry, I just wanted to be the one that "found" something."
He chuckles as they look over the stuff littering the floor.

Sifting through the strange assortment of junk under the bed, you manage to find several items of potential worth:
Angelic Staff
Short Sword
Light Armor
Seal Charm
Spell: Flame Burst
Action: Blessed Thief
Potion of Healing x5
You would suspect that this equipment may have belonged to the Angelic Choir member and her husband, but they have long since departed, having given you not only their blessing, but their items as well.

The battle over, Vincent collapses to his knees, only barely stopping his headlong rush to the floor. He pants heavily as he looks to the others, then to the five healing potions on the ground. Shaking of the urge, Vincent stands on leaden legs and braces against the wall as he mutters darkly, "Bad Fluffy..." evil
((Well, that's one battle down. Hopefully we'll find Rudolf in short order and end this...before I die, that is! mrgreen ))

Fury looks to Vincent, examining the extreme level of damage the valiant warrior has sustained. Carefully considering his words, Fury says,"My friend, perhaps it is time for you to put that Elixir of yours to use. You cannot continue much further in that state, and I strongly suspect that we are far from our goal. At the very least, we can heal your wounds with these Healing Potions; you might also consider using the other items to replace the Demonic Sword, rather than re-equipping the foul thing. I only say this because I value your presence and friendship, and would hate to lose you so early in this quest."

Perrian nodded. "Vincent, you look severly hurt. Please, consider using the elixer so I may heal you and you may drink the potion. If you wish, you may equip the Demonic Sword later. But for now until we're sure of your safety, please drink the elixer. It is best that we don't lose somebody this early." Perrian said and glanced at the items underneath the bed. "Maybe the short sword and light armor would be a good replacement for now, Vincent? And maybe my forcefield would help you in this quest? You certainly need to be healed, but my powers are being stopped by that sword." Perrian waited to pick up the angelic staff till he knew that Vincent would be ok. Though his curiousity was pushing him to grab it, he stood there waiting for Vincent's reply to if he was going to use the elixer or not. If Vincent wasn't going to, Perrian planned on possibly asking Djanni to give Vincent one of her very well known slaps.

Perrian nodded in response to Fury's comment and walked over to the staff. Carefully and gently, he picked up the Angelic Staff.

As you take the Staff into your hands, you feel yourself engulfed in a gentle aura, much like an embrace from a loved one. The Staff recognizes your touch, as if it has been waiting for you to claim it for some time. Knowing that it is in the hands of it's rightful owner, it seems to snuggle into your grasp, as if finding itself home.
Angelic Staff (Blessed) (6E)
*Angelic Gift---Gives the Ability "regeneration 1" to all members of your party, excluding you.
*Life Sacrifice----Sacrifice X amount of HP to decrease an equal amount of attack of your opponent's attack score, for the duration of the round.
*Life Burn (1AP)---For every 1 HP you tribute you heal 2 damage to target ally. You may not tribute HP you no longer have from being damaged this turn, or from HP you will heal at the end of the turn.
Angelic Regeneration---For every 5 points of damage you heal each turn, you regenerate 1 HP. (Regeneration limited by targets Max HP))
~Blessed~
*Angelic Pride--Automatically equips, replacing all other equipment up to E:6. If Equip stat is Lower than 6, reduce Life Stat by 1 per point of difference. If this reduces the character to 0 HP, the Staff abandons the character, seeking a stronger servant.

Perrian smiled at feeling the gentle aura and remained holding the staff. He unequipped his sorcer's amulet and forcefield and placed both in the loot bag to be taken back by him at the end of this adventure. Although the staff is now equipped and he feels the gentle aura, Perrian does notice that his life is now lower because of his lack of needed equip by 2 points.
(Perrian is equipping the staff. Perrian's health is now 30/30 and magic is back to 3. Should I repost my stats with the changes I mentioned or no?)
