John Van Sean's world seemed to melt away. A floating feeling...stranded in the middle of a sea without waves. He shook his head and slapped himself to keep focus, but the feeling continued. Had he been drugged? No, they haven't given him anything to eat. The water didn't taste funny, but you could never know. "Aye, I-I am. I can't...get me mind round it. W-who are you again?" What this all about? Am I still in Ireland? And on a different note, where does soap come from anyway? Who's this fella with the strange eyes? Hey...is he...Lad or Lass? Why can't I keep me mind straight? Sean started to rock back and forth, concentrating as best he could as to where he was, but for some reason kept forgetting. Xanthe chuckled as he closed his eyes. "Tell me kid, What's you "Blessing gift from God?" He moved his eyes back to the other, the luring red color pulling at the other. "Does it sound nice? The sounds of your past...I can make all the best memories flood back...." he smriked, his smile seemed to twist devilishly. The red color wasn't pretty, it was awful. "I can also brin back the most terrible ones..."His voice soundedwarped, like it was possessed. Xanthe loved his power. He was drunk with it at times. But the power was not a blessing. Not being able to look anyone in the eyes without hurting them so. How he hated it. His power would act on its own and make people afraid of him. Oh...how horrible, the day the government came and took him away from London....All the experiments and torture, he hated it. And he lost his only friend. the only person, he wished he could have looked in the eyes. ((Gasp! Small glimpse of Xanthes past! Now Sean's?))

It was storming that night. The rain pounded the grassy hills, pouring down the mountain as it flooded into the valley. His village lay below it, being swept over like the purging of the first borns in Egypt. It was God's will that they should leave the valley, that they should travel beyond their quite mountain home. Sean ventured up higher, up to the summit of the mountain. Mother had said not to run ahead, but the valley echoed like the chorus of angels. Thunder clapped and swayed as the Lord sent down his power on the land in blazing white streaks. Then it happened all too fast. A bolt hit him square, ignoring a nearby tree well over his height. Then another, and another. 12 times it hit him over, as the other villagers caught up.
But he was fine. It tickled a bit. In those flashes of light he saw the eyes of God, and was content with what had happened to his village. When he was alone he found that God had sent more than this phenomenon. He could control those flashes of white; electricity. But such a gift was not to be trifled with, and it was his family's creed that directed him. Never would he harm unless directed so by the divine. Sean spoke out after he retold his tale, half in a dream.

Callie pointed to her face. "I trust you will not go blabbing to your drinking buddies about what you see. I wouldn't want any harm to come to you. A knife in your back perhaps?" There was suddenly a roar from behind the cafe. A six foot tall grizzly came pelting out of the forest. "I don't this creature is a native...How strong are your tranquilizers and do they come in gun form?"

He pulled out a gun and loaded his special bullets into it."Powerful enough, yes... unfortunatly, I never figured out where to put a bullet in a friggen bear for it to take mass effect."He said.He fired one shot into the bears stomach,he was simply hoping to his some muscle.

Emily felt herself sinking into sleep. The needle had hurt really really badly. Worse, it reminded her of her time spent being experimented on in the Oxford lab. She hated needles. Which was one of the reasons that.... One of the reasons... One, two, three four five. Once I caught a fish alive.
With the last of her conscious strength, she beamed a message to Fitz.
Fitz! Get me out of here! They tranquillised me! Get us both away before they do it to you! They want to take us to the labs!
And with that, she sank down, fighting, into unwelcoming unconscioussness.

A dog leaped up and snapped at Magus's arm dragging him to the ground. The bear gave way to a gorilla. Fitz was smart. He knew that nothing would be gained if they saw his face, but he needed arms. He grabbed the unconscious woman flinging her unto his back and running on three limbs back to the forest. Brother stayed behind as a decoy.

Caligudula sighed and sniffed at the dog. "It is just a regular dog." She pushed back her red bangs. "I don't think it is wise to be animal killing in the middle of the street. Try to pry him off gently." She was obviously amused by Magus's predicament.

Magus sighed. He had hoped it was the shifter Callie was to suspicious. He had to make her trust him again. His arm turned to smoke and he moved away from the dog allowing the arm to go back. smoke was pouring from the wounds."Dumb dog." he mumbled

Brother huffed and lopped away into the woods. He didn't take the same path as Fitz. Caligdula's lips turned up slightly. "I do believe that he is like cat is to a witch."

Caligdula shook her head. "Why bother? We know the cafe is an area where the gather now. I don't think I'm too fond of chasing a shapeshifter and a woman like that into the woods. You saw what she did to my face." Callie pointed to her healed face as if that would remind him.
