Kon Ban Wa! Watashi wa Saiyu desu.
I thought being here and posting and such will help me learn more of culture and language and to gain some friends. I took Japanese I in college and still have my text book with me. So I hope we can all be friends and learn from eachother.

Hello minna-san! Hajimemashite, douzo yoroshiku onegai shimasu! x3
I am Yoroko, the Joyful One, hehe.
My name is Alyssa, I'm 17, and I've been studying Japanese on my own for a couple of years. I'm not nearly fluent yet, though.
I'd like to learn as much as I can. And hopefully make some friends while I'm here. Tomodachi ni natte!
Thank you. n.n

Hallo! I'm Freyja (Frey-ha...it's not my real name, but I don't like my real name so nyah.) I'm 13 as of last April, trying to learn Japanese, I'm going to take a class this coming year (well, I signed up for one anyway) since I'll be in highschool and thus have language classes! Woo!
Sorry for not posting earlier. I sort of went immediately to the 'Learning Japanese' subforum.
Teehee, I want to learn a lot of Asian languages. I'm half Korean, and mummy said she'd teach me Korean after I got out of Japanese (I don't want to take them both or I just KNOW they're going to mix together into some sort of weird mush.) *voice of authority* It is my ambition to learn lots of new languages. I heard it's easier to learn stuff when you're a kid, so I'm not taking chances wink . I nipped onee-chan's Nihongo no hon for a while and began learning some Hiragana and words and grammar recently, but this guild is really the most helpful thing so far. But I do owe it to the book for teaching me a lot of what I know. neutral Which isn't a lot, come to think of it.
Hajimemashite. Watashi wa Fureya desu. Douzo yoroshiku. Shikashi, oyasumi nasai! ^^
Edit: Guess who I'm trying to cosplay! It's not quite done yet, just a tie and briefcase to get. Yeah, I know the shoe/sock colors are wrong, but it's as close as I can get.

Watashi no namae wa Sara desu. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu yo. Atashi wa roku-ju-sai desu. ^^ Nihongo wo hanashimasu, demo sukoshi dake do. San-nen ni gakko e ikimashita.
O_o; Damn, I hope I said that last sentence right. ~_~;
Ok so, english translation. My name is Sara, I'm sixteen. I speak japanese but only some. I have been going to school for it for 3 years. Four if you wanna count that summer class that i took at the college just to get a feel for the language.

Hey everyone. I'm an anime/manga lover...but I'm not sure if I was interested in Japanese culture or manga first... sweatdrop Anywho, I really know nothing about the language except for small words I've learned from watching anime in Japanese... redface but that's all the more reason for me to learn! blaugh

I know this thread has heard this alot but...
Konnichi wa! Hajimemashite! Watashi wa Brandi desu.
I noticed a few people using 'san' at the end of their names when referring to themselves. I learned in Japanese class that you NEVER refer to your self as 'san' Only others can do that smile
Anyway, I am a Japanese 1 Student (Yes~! I'm a baby!) I've only been in Japanese for um... 5 days so far. I havent even scratched the surface of Japanese. But I do plan to follow through all the way to Japanese 4 and take advanced courses in college. I want to major in art though. I plan to live in Japan some day, as does a few of my close friends and my boyfriend. I've heard such great things about the people, the places, the culture - everything! I love it all especially the languae. Im so enticed by it all. I hope to expand my learning here and make many new friends ^-^

Hi! I'm TempestAngel. I've been trying to learn Japanese for a while and have even been to Japan for a month to learn, but unfortunately life, school/work, and the lack of learning partners and/or classes available to me have helped make it so I haven't made much headway. I'm stubborn though, I'll get there...

Hi, I'm Clayra or Clara in real life. I started to like manga and anime around 3 or 4 years ago and that gave birth to my love for the japanese culture. This semester, which has been going on for one week, I started learning japanese. And actually today we had first time greeting. Here it goes. Hajimemashite. Doozo yoroshiku. heart
