(( Yuki, or Tonbo? xD ))

Berai continued looking at the space in front of him, idly running a nail across the polished surface of his cup. The question and after-comment bored him. The entire place bored him, and the smell of the cooking food was causing his stomach to get upset. He hated this place. A small nod was given to Tonbo's comment of 'affirmative'. He couldn't help but grin lightly to himself.

The brunette remained seated for a few moments while Tonbo stood and left. He soon followed, leaving both face wraps and masks behind. Stepping up beside the blond, his steps were fluid, and the grin hadn't left his lips. "Tags in place." It wasn't a question- more of a statement. "Scrolls? Hidden..." he was doing a checklist. A checklist before it was time. "We'll grow farther then they've let us..." there was a sneer to his tone. "To the rendezvous in an hour. Not going to chicken out on me, are you, Tonbo?" Berai was excited, and it showed, though he contained himself.

((Eh, I'm used to roleplaying with characters named Yuki, and I've never simultaneously played two characters in one roleplay before this.))

Tonbo was pleased that Berai had done his part and he replied, "Likewise on both counts. Only the instigation remains." He slid his hand out from hos pouch, revealing an earth-style paper bomb. So far, Tonbo had remained emotionally stolid in his tone and mannerisms. He had focused himself for tonight, and he wouldn't let anything move him.

At Berai's slight jeer, Tonbo turned to the grinning Kokourei and spoke, "For you, it is no great cause; you're even going to enjoy it. I, however, will feel remorse for my actions, but don't you think for a second that I'll back out tonight." Slipping off his gloves nonchalantly, his hand markings were now visible. He then increased his pace, drawing nigh to Konoha's palladium.

(( xD I kind of guessed. Usually, for every character I use, I use a different color, and the color code I use usually reminds me which one I'm working on. I've done around five characters at once, before. ))

Berai smirked, and then chuckled. "Hell yeah, I'm going to enjoy it. You know how much s**t this place has put me through? All of the villages, even! I've been transfered four times!" he huffed out the end of his rant, and then began pulling out a few things from his pouch while Tonbo increased his pace. He stared for a few moments, before heading off to his own part of town. Plan A was to split up, create some havoc and distractions, and then meet up just inside of town to take off. It was easier to escape town together, so they could defeat anyone who got in their way a lot easier.

Trotting down a road, Berai headed for some important buildings, like major stores and such. They would focus on keeping those from getting blown to smithereens too badly, to save the food and supplies, so he'd planted tags on them just the other day. There was also the Inuzuka family home over this way... the less the dogs they can use, the harder it would be to track them once they high-tailed it out of there.

The only reason why they didn't just disappear over the wall without doing damage is that Berai wanted to blow things up, and he also wanted them to make names for themselves. Striking fear into the heart of people, and them knowing your name gave you power. The brunette had read up on organizations in the past- the Akatsuki, mainly. All of their members were known somewhere, and that made them known everywhere. And they were able to keep up that reputation of fear for years. It showed in all the books and scrolls they were in.

Forming a few seals, Berai set off a tag he'd hidden nearby. Something went up in flames, and that was the first signal for Tonbo there on the other side of town. It was also the start of the attack, the running, and the escape. For the next while, he would be keeping running, going through and setting off tags, while causing chaos. He was going to be grinning, but he knew not as much as he wanted. He'd have to keep other shinobi off his tail. The second tag was set off, and the brunette was drawing a Kunai for each hand. His illusions would wait until they were leaving.

(( Big post, and I'm just tailin' it, so let me know if you want to do something different xD
Other people can start reacting, now, if you think you're in the area. The apartments for the non-konoha nin are somewhere towards the middle of town, but probably closer to the academy.))

Berai soon left after a final remark. As Tonbo came closer to his initial target, his conflicted mind raged.

He's not the one who's betraying his own village after all. I'd just as soon leave without causing all the distress...
Who am I kidding? I'm sick of this village, I hold no true loyalty to it...
My mother and father both loved this village...
Heck, they're both long gone. Why should I even care about two deceased ninja. They're no different from anyody else. They died because they were weak, and those who still live only live to die. They are afraid of death, because they don't have the power to stop it...
I can't stop death, either. Nobody can...
I may not be able to prevent the inevitable, but I will survive in the memories and lives of those affected by tonight and coming tragedies...
What good is being remembered if I am only remembered with fear? I should be remembered for the good I have done...
It's too late too turn back now. I've already trod too far down this path...
Maybe I am too far gone...
Then, I'll be the worst I can be. I'll be infamous...

Amidst his inner turmoil, he had lept over the massive gateway, passed through the gardnes, and climbed the cliffside. Now he stood atop the great stone faces of the former Hokages. Paper bomb in hand, he knelt. The earth-style tag was in place, and he only waited for Berai's signal. Clearly visible in the dark night, an explosion, accompanied by a cloud of dust and leaping flames, tore through a section of Konoha. Farewell, Hidden Leaf... He lifted his hand to his headband which was still affixed to its proper position. The palm of his hand over the leaf insignia, he sent a pulse of heat to the center of his headband. The temperature surge partially liquified the metal, marring the Konoha crest. The two black gems aside the former symbol along with the rest of his headband remained intact.

Rising to his feet, he lept over to the gate he ahd just passed. Standing atop its pinnacle, he made a few handsigns. A flash of light radiated from the paper bomb. At first it seemed as if that was the only effect, but moments later the entire side of the cliff, containing the faces of the hokages, began to surrender to gravity. Multiple large chunks shipped away as it gradually slid to the earth below. Tonbo lowerd his head in respect for a moment before fleeing the scene. As the monument collided with the surface, it sent massive billows of debris everywhere. The first row of buildings near the former palladium served to buffer the impact and halt the particled 9though those beuildings received only minor damages). The entire courtyard before the monument lay in rocky ruins.

((Nah, I'm fine going along with this as is. I'm wingin it too.))

(( Time for reactions from my own characters... after a word from Berai. ))

Berai grinned and paused to admire Tonbo's own handiwork. Now he could really have some fun. A lot of the doorknob ANBU that worked in the Hokage office would be panicking over the mountainside. All the brunette saw in the destruction of the exploding tag Tonbo set off was wonder.... not a ruined monument of those who'd passed. Laughing lightly to himself, he set off another tag near him and took off down the road again, eventually running into a few Jounin and some Chuunin. A few he had to fight, and made sure the ones he didn't entirely kill saw his face.

(( He's so kidlike when he's having fun xD ))

Ran was startled awake as she heard sounds that resembled large explosions. No.... they WERE large explosions. She stood and blinked, having fallen asleep while reading, coughing a few moments, she worked on awakening herself some more, before wandering out to the patio to see what was going on. Other people were gathered outside, many Konoha people looking either very saddened, angry, afraid, or just plain upset. Trying to figure out why, save for the explosions, the Kaguya glanced over to where the faces carved into the mountains was, and blinked as she noted different shapes blotting out in the darkness of the night.

Looking around, Ran noted there were some people running past to go see what happened. She contemplated on following, though the gennin really had no idea what to do. So she stood there and tried picking things up from nearby conversations, waiting until she knew what was really going on.

Kae was awoken with rough shaking. She reached for a kunai, and then realized who it was. "H-Huh?" came a sleepy mumble.

"Kae, get dressed. Someone's attacking Konoha and just blew the faces off of the monument."

That woke the Jounin up, and she was soon getting dressed while her sister helped. Feeling a little less rested than she hoped, she dashed out to get the orders from the ANBU running the village. She contemplated on getting her Chuunin to keep them out of trouble, but that thought was washed away when she stepped out of her home and felt the panic in the air. Although it was dark, the mountainside could be seen via the moon, and the fact that there were now spotlights shining on it that usually turned off at a earlier time in the evening. It was still hard to see through all the dust the explosion set off, but the damage was there.

Kae gasped lightly to herself, she felt a push to her back, and her sister gave her a stern look. Right. Don't get too distracted. That was one of her rules she worked to live by when she became a shinobi, but right now, with the city like this.... Shaking her head, the tattoo'd Jounin made her way to the hopefully not too damaged Hokage Tower. The unfortunate thing was that, and the Academy, were both close to the mountain.

Roque woke up in a place he wasn't expecting. He wasn't in the cornor where he went to bed, nor in his room for that matter. He was on a street where he delivered the newspaper every morning. He looked to his side to see his paper delivery bad, only instead of the morning news, it was filled with weapons, explosives and scrolls. He also noticed something heavy on his back. Upon looking up, he saw that he was supporting the cornor of a three floor apartment building.
"Guh, sleep walking." Roque grumbled, assuming that he had gone through this apartment instead of around it. The resounding explosions that followed the thought shook from his daze. "Okay, mabe not. Kiesel!" Roque shouted. A white lioness with an Earth kanji tattooed to her shoulder came running from around the building with three child passengers.

"I'm right here, no need to shout." Kiesel replied, releaving herself of the children and nudging them in the direction of thier waiting parents. "About time you woke up. This attack has been going on for five minutes, and I've been stuck dragging you around town."

"I see. Everybody out of here?" Roque motioned his head at the apartment on his back. Kiesel nodded, and Roque shuffled out from beneath the building. It crumbled without support into the empty street. "Where to next?" Roque asked Kiesel, who, with her exceptional hearing, could hear the burning tags, the crumbling of a building, or the cries of children.

"Crest and Gale. Better put on some armour, the tags are primed and going to take down the pagoda." Kiesel said while they both ran along the roof tops. "I'm going to eat these bastards." She snarled.

"Later. Saving lives comes first." Roque said, making hand signs as they neared the towering pagoda. As they made the final jump down, Roque bit into his thumb and slapped his hand hard against his chest. "Damacus armour!" In a puff of smoke, Roque was invisible against the night sky as he was covered head to toe in a featureless black skin. "Stupid explosives. I hate this armour." He huffed, his chakra supply strained by the summoning.

"Complain later. Two at the base and one in the middle. Hurry! I'll start evacuating." Kiesel said and dissapeared into the building.

Roque found the first two hidden under the awning and below a rock near the base of the tower. He slapped them onto his body and raced up to the middle of the tower. The last took a moment or two to find, but he saw it burning under the pagodas' family insignia. He jumped into the emply night sky and the tags finally ignited. There was a momentary light in the sky, like dawn had come for a split second, then it was gone. Roque fell to the ground with a distinct lack of grace. He stayed on his back, smoldering until Kiesel ran over with her third batch of residence.

"Say something." Kiesel said, the fire light gleamed off her balck granny glasses.

"You have fish breath... eww." A smile shone on the pitch black face. Roque got up grudgingly. He was out of breath, but the armour had done its' job. "Where to now?"

"Kae sama."

Yuki had always slept lightly, and tonight was surely no exception. With the sound and rumblings of the first explosion, he was jarred awake. In the relative darkness, he reached out for his bo, which he always kep beside his bed. He slipped into his sandals quickly, grabbing his headband and pack in the process. As he left his room, he fixed on his headband. Dim emergency lights had been turned on in the hall, so he could see somewhat. Affixing his satchel to his waist, he exited the apartment building.

As he took a few steps in stopping from his rapid pace, he took time to think about what was happening. The village must be under attack, but by whom? I doubt any village would seek to break the peace treaty. As flare of light washed over all outside for several seconds. In the brightness, he could see those around him. The gammut of tragic emotions was evidenced within the faces and cries of the others. Most were civilians, though Yuki wouldn't have been able to recognize any ninja if they were amongst the scattered group.

The sounds erupting from the direction of the sliff-side hokage memorial left the imagination to surmise what had occurred. Whoever did this will pay for it. He lept to the rooftop of the apartment building to get a better vantage point in the blackness. Several more explosions were set off as areas momentarily lit up with an orange glow of destuction. In the faint light from these surrounding explosions came glimpses of ninja. Whether they were the combustion-happy criminals or helping ninja was unknown to Yuki, so he decided to focus on locating the true suspects in this ever-worsening disaster.

If I'm to find them, I'll need some sort of initial grounds. The ANBU should be helpful to even non-members at such a time. With that thoughts, he flitted towards the Hokage Tower. In the continuing explosions, he could see that some others were headed his way.

~~~~~~~~
Tonbo stuck to the shadows, easily evading any ninja he came close to. They all had their own ideas of what to do, so much so that they could scarcely notice anything else around them. Setting off a few more random explosions, he saw that they detonated satisfactorily. This is going without a hitch. I figured they'd give more of a resitance than this. Then again, they could be regrouping.
A moment after that though, an explosion shook the side of Hokage Tower. Berai, I though leaving the Hokage alone was understood! Some more explosions near the tower seemed to centralize in one area in the sky. The light from the multiple focused illuminated a bright area, revealing a silhouette in the middle of those explosions. Huh, so it seems somebody has already cracked our little plan and managed to impede the progressive damage. Knowing what's going on is an entirely different thing than halting it altogether, though.
Tonbo ignited some more paper bombs scattered throughout the city, the cries of innocents carrying to his ears. Let's just get this over with.
Isaaku had hardly been able to start dozing at the first explosion. He dressed, only because he needed the equipment strewn throughout it. He was too worried to remember that he had a room mate. He rushed out and immediately noticed the Kage faces in disarray, also that there were buildings still crumbling. He ran to one of these buildings, it was starting to fall at one side and he was under it. Isaaku hurriedly formed some katas and slapped the ground, two pillars of earth started to 'diffuse' out and support the building. "Tortoise shell has more than one use... But it won't take many until I'm out." Isaaku thought as he ran into the building, evacuating people. "Come on! Go to where ever your safe house is!" As some of the older ones nodded and led the others to the safe houses, he sprinted to the next building and caught someone who had been trying to make a last ditch effort to escape. They said they were the last, that they'd made sure. Isaaku nodded and moved on again.
"I don't want to run into whoever prepared this. I really don't have the energy to fight and worry about the people here.." He didn't notice that there were many ninja leaping from roof top to rooftop above him. He was looking for those in need. He was also thinking of ways to fix the things he notice, namely the Hokage faces. "If I can compress a Gale Waltz, then maybe I can reform the statues... But I don't think I have the chakra to perform a single Gale Waltz of that size..."
Batafurai fell off her bed in shock. Explosions? She glanced out her window to see the Stone Faces disassembled. She rubbed her eyes. Am I dreaming? Blinking, she still saw the terror of crumbling faces. Nope, not a dream. The kumo-nin assesed, quickly changing back into her clothes. Tying her head protector to her leg, Batafurai opened her window and jumped out, landing on her feet below.
Growling, she saw Ran from the corner of her eye. Her hair hadn't been spiked up, so she looked a little strange. Or, more stranger than usual. "Ran, what's going on?!" The kumo-nin ran to her team-mate. "Should we help? What should we do?!"
Before arriving at the dining room, Shinji saw pictures swinging on the walls. What the...? he thought. An earthquake? No, we don't get those here. A far-away explosion? What the hell could be going on out there?
Shinji ran toward the front entrance, hoping to catch a glimpse of what was happening. Upon exiting the Kurama house, his attention was immediately caught by the misshapen faces on the Hokage monument. Konoha's being attacked? He ran back inside to tell the others.
The Kurama children were all in conference about several issues that were minor irratants in the company machine and would have to be dealt with in an incredibly swift and decisive fashion. Their cousin reported several robberies in their silk business that would be of great annoyance. They spoke of decreased production and several plans were formed to combat this with the twins help. This meeting came to an abrupt end when the house was practically shaken by the loud noises. The twins walked to the window and opened it. From their home, the hokage mountain could clearly be seen. The faces were somehow misshapen and disfigured. The twins immediately apologized to their cousins, claiming ninja business and ran to find their teamates
Ran had been about to make a decision, whether or not to run about and help the people that she could, or to find a jounin or a higher ranking shinobi that knew what was going on so she could figure out what to do to aid there. However, as she took a step forwards, she noted Batafurai from the corner of her eyes and stared for a few moments, even as she was asked what they were supposed to do. She mused for a few moments as another explosion behind the apartment building went off. Whoever it was, either their numbers were great, or they were fast.
Eventually, "Yuki-sensei is probably headed to figure out what is happening. I think we should head in that direction, and help those in need on the way." Ran murmured, forming some seals and making up a batch of Senbon, just-in-case. She coughed, and glanced around. "Do you know where Isaaku is? We might want to find him so we're all there in case Sensei needs us." She adjusted her arm warmers to wait for an answer.
Kae's time of travel varied every time she found someone to talk to. She discussed with a few ANBU that there were varying explosions towards the gates, and middle of Konoha. There was also, seemingly a second or maybe a second group, moving around the area of the destroyed mountain, as well as the Hokage tower, the Academy, and other important buildings. They seemed to be aiming for it all. She swore, thanked the ANBU, before heading off hoping that the Hokage Tower wasn't too badly damaged, or even the Academy. It was bad enough they got the mountain.
Yuki noticed some of the other ninja headed towards the Tower were stopping off along the way to aid those in need. I know that the danger of the populace is important, but being able to cease the violence altogether would be more useful right now. I'll continue on. He dashed along the various buildings, some untouched, others only heaps of rubble.
He was almost to the tower when the thought of his pupils flashed through his mind. Stopping on a rooftop, he pondered the situation. They are probably quite confused, though I'm sure they're helping refugees right now. I should probably send them a clone. I doubt I'll need by bo for now anyway. Throwing his bo into the air, he rapidly completed several handseals. "Kane Bunshin!" These handsigns and phrase having been completed by the time the bo reached the peak of its upward journey, a cloud of smoke suddenly enveloped his metallic staff. The smoke cleared in a few moments, and a perfect replica of himself darted down beside him. The real Yuki continued upward toward the top of Hokage Tower while the clone flashed back to the apartment buildings' vicinity as quickly as possible.
Mayumi just got out from the bath and was just about finished putting her raiments on when her super-sensitive senses picked up the tremors in the ground and the sound of the explosions in the distance. Hurriedly, she put on her gear and weapons and went back into the dining room to find her team already there.
"Alright guys, I guess we're moving out tonight", she started, adjusting her bow behind her, "let's head for the Hokage Tower, and try to minimize whatever damage that we can."
Remembering the layout of the house, she headed for the door. "Oh, and people who need desperate help are top priority. Let's go!", she said as she bolted out quickly. In her mind, she thought of her apartment and whether or not it was caught in the blast. Cursing under her breath, she headed straight for the Academy and the Hokage Tower.
"Got it ma'am" The twins knew that she was right in this because it was a ninja's duty to protect the Village with whatever means necessary. They both stopped in their rooms to grab some kunai and other assorted weapons.
"What do you think it is?"
"No effing idea. Now, let's get out there and find out."
