"Yes," Lore replied, "At least I'd like to think I am, but I know all of you are," he murmured nuzzling her nose.

He chuckled at her for a bit, she was such a sweet child.

"Really?" Lin's eyes lit up, it meant adventure and fun.

Well that and she liked cool things like that.

"Yes!" she paused, "Please...."

Idhril giggled and nuzzled Lore back, then threw her arms around his neck and hugged him tight. "You're honourable, too!" she told him brightly. "You're very good to all of us! And you always make sure you don't do something to make anybody sad!"

Eandil chuckled and stopped halfway down the steps. He raised his empty hand and pointed it towards the wall, and a fiery blue dragon appeared on the wall. It opened, and he stepped inside, then closed the wall behind them. A red dragon appeared, circling itself slowly twice before fading into darkness.

"And ..."

He held up his free hand again, and a streak of fiery blue magic appeared just above his palm. It wove itself into a flower shape and solidified, but the glow remained, bright enough to light up the entire area of the passage that they were in. He grinned and held it out to Lin.

"Here," he told her. "I don't know if you still have the other one I made, or if it faded, but here's another one for you. Brighter, stronger."

Lore smiled at her as he hugged her close, "Thank you," he murmured to her.

He looked up to see what the others were up to at the moment.

"I brought it with me," Lin told hijm happily as she took it and held it up to light up the way, "It still glows... kind of."

It had faded a bit, but the flower still existed and she liked to have it out at night as she went to bed.

Elnara laughed softly and leaned her head on Lore's shoulder.

"So what do you think?" she asked him quietly. "Shall we continue on? See more of the castle, see if we don't run into anyone else?"

Storm peered intently at the flowers. "They're pretty," he grinned, his tone filled with awe. "How did you make them?"

"It was magic, silly," Starr reprimanded him. "And no you can't do it, our magic doesn't work like that."

"How do you know?" Storm argued. "Just cos we don't know if we can do it don't mean we can't!"

Earendil chuckled at all three of the children. "I'm glad to see that the magic lasts without me," he told Lin as he started down the steps. "I wasn't sure whether it would or not."

He was also happy she had brought it with her. He was fond of her, very fond, and he was happy that she loved her time here as much as she did.

Lore nodded, "I don't see why not, after all we did come out to see the castle."

And he would like to get more of a feel for it, in hopes that he wouldn't feel so out of place. At least, that was the plan of his.

"Maybe you can ask Mommy, or Yukito," Lin suggested to Storm and Starr, hoping to avoid an issue where they would use magic.

While Lin didn't feel responsible for them, and wasn't even sure if her Daddy could seal away their magicks, she knew how her Daddy could be. He could make it seem like he did, just because as one of the other siblings put it, he was a scary man like that. She would feel sorry for the twins if they were punished for breaking their promise. Besides, a Second without magic would be a sad thing indeed.

She looked back up at Earendil, "It does do things you don't expect doesn't it? Like that time it glowed in different colours depending on how far away you were!"

Elnara made sure Silvrendir was safely in her arms before she stood, then looked over at Serenity, who was still standing behind Luthien. She seemed almost ... entranced.

"Serenity?" she called. "Are you coming with us? Or do you want to stay with your Aunt Luthien?"

Serenity didn't even move her gaze as she called out in reply, "I'm going to stay with Aunt Luthien and watch her paint."

Elnara was a little surprised - Serenity was always so shy. But it was good that she was breaking out of her shell, and Elnara smiled and turned to Lore. "Ready then?"

"That would be nice if we could ask," Starr replied to Lin wistfully. "But his magic is different from ours." She shook her head slowly. "He doesn't have any threads."

Storm looked thoughtful. "That tall lady had lots of threads," he murmured, "all around her hands ... all the different kinds."

"Yes," Starr agreed. "Mama only has fire threads around her hands, but the tall lady had all the different kinds."

"Tall lady?" Earendil blinked. To be fair, there weren't many women around the castle in general - but it could easily be any one of the servant women. Of course, he also had no idea what sort of threads they were talking about.

He looked to Lin, and his expression, lit by the light of the flowers in Lin's hands, was confused. "What tall lady?" he asked her.

Atalya put one hand on Elnara's shoulder. "I wish I could stay with you," she said softly, apologetically, "but I have something that needs to be taken care of before dinner ... will you two be all right on your own?"

Her brow was furrowed slightly with worry.

Lin would have argued that they were suppose to be asking her mother and Yukito about magic if anything rose up. Even if Yukito didn't have threads they could see, it was probably because he was not using any magic at the moment. Besides, that is what they were suppose to be doing even if it was different.

"Uhm..." though Earendil's question distracted her from that, "I think, they mean Elrohir's... fai..fai.. you know his girlfriend who is going to marry him. She's the only person we don't know her name."

Elnara nodded. "I'm sure we'll be fine," she assured her grandmother with a smile. "After all, I did live here once before."

Idhril giggled and made herself comfortable in Lore's arms once again. "Yay!" she clapped excitedly. "We're going to go exploring!"

"Ah," Earendil grinned, rather amused now. "Haradhel. Trainee Haradhel, I should say, until the day she and Ada-tol finally get married and she becomes my aunt."

He grinned at Lin. "I train with her at the top of the mountain now, you know," he told her. "She's very good at what she does, too."

He paused thoughtfully, then chuckled as if very amused. "I think you would like her," he murmured.
