((Don't ask me why paint would be by the lake sweatdrop ))
"Well maybe if I looked like a clownnfish I'd be funny like her?" He swam up to the surface and looked around. He caught sight or a bucket of orange paint and white paint and rubbed his head "That's too confient?" He swam over to the paint and hopped up onto the surface, waiting for his legs to come. He took hold up a paint brush and looked down at the orange goo look "Maybe this isn't suck a good idea.." He closed his eyes and brushed over his face, making strokes back and forth until he guessed it was fully covered in paint. He continued down his bodyand until his legs feet were as ornage as him face. He looked like an orange person with his dark brown hair still standing out, but he wasn't going to di his head "Wish I had a mirror" He took the white paint and brushed stripes evenly on him and dropped it back in when he was done and looked at himself "Well either I'll never live this down or she'll think I'm a copycat sweatdrop " He walked back to the other side and rubbed the back of his head alittle vervous "Is this funny?"
She nodded and looked at the other clownfish looking Naiad "Het thwere two corwals?" She walked up to the male naiad and poked him "Grwumpy?"

Coral looked him up and down. "Ah, I get it you're doing an impression." She then laughed as he did look rather silly. Plus he was trying very hard. "Is that what I really look like?" She asked with a giggled and a wink.

"Sure let's go with that sweatdrop " He rubbed the back of his head with a fake smile on his face and his eyes closed What was I thinking, she probably is laughingb ecasue I look stupid? He looked down at the toddler and sighed "Please it's Des not grumpy, I'm not grumpy all the time"
"Owkay Des it is thwen" She smiled a poked at his legs still "Why ywou wook wike corwal?"

Coral smiled. "Well, he is pretending to be me. It's a kind of humor. I think he did a great job." She nodded. "So, say something like me?"

"Um something like you?" He froze for a bit, trying to think of something, but got a blank What have I gotten myself into, why did I even cover myself in paint, I think I'm losing my mind!? He made a small nervous laugh and still tried 'L, like a j, joke?"
"Yay grweat jwob" She gigled and waited for something fun to come out of hi mouth, but nothign really did and she didn't even giggled, that was abd when she giggled at pretty much everything "Bwoooo, no fwunny, no gwod corwal!"

Coral nodded. "Yeah like a joke." She then heard the toddler. "Hey, he hasn't said anything yet. Don't be so mean." She then turned her attention back to the male standing before them.

"Um okay, let's see?" He thought for a bit they took a deep breath, really nervous "Why can't mermaids drive cars, because they're always on each others tail sweatdrop " He grew quiet after that, wondering it was a good joke or not, still very nervous and shaking with wet paint
"Hehehe, Dessy becwoming a swecond corwal" She giggled and fell on her back laughing and giggling out of control, she thought it was funny, but more so coming froma grumpy person like Des

Coral chuckled. "That was very good. Only next time give us a chance to guess. Even if we don't know it's part of the fun." She wasn't telling him to be mean, but to be helpful. That way he would get better, that is if he wanted to.

"Oh my bad sweatdrop " He twitched hsi finned ears with a sort of regretting expression, almost like they were simulating slapping his forehead and going 'duh'. He looked at the mess of orange paint and white dripping down him from his moisture and turned around "I'll be right back" He flipped backwards and landed in the water, a puddle of orange white apeparing where he landed and fading into the water slowly, mixing in and disapeparing from the naked eye. He popped up after a few minutes, brown and red again with his gold marks peeking out of the water everytime he lifted his tail out of the water "I thought maybe I could be funny if I looked like you, I know it sounds stupid" He lowered his head, sinking enough into the water to make his mouth submerged and blowing bubbles
"Where the owther corwal go?" She looked around, but only saw Des back to himself, did he shift forms, atleast that's what it looked like to her 'He mwelt back intwo grwumpy"

Coral nodded. "I think it was funny. Not stupid." Coral giggled and then laughed a bit louder. She then looked back at normal Des. He was silly and funny in his own odd way.

"Really?" He perked his finend ears up at her comment, surprised she actually thought it was funny, most girls would think it was creepy
"Yeah, it fwunny, me waughign" She gigled more and waved her tail around happy, thinking it was almos t amiracle to see Des act funny, especially after him being so grumpy to her

He face lowered alittle more to hide the red color coming over his face, alittle embarrassed he did something like that now, the bubbles forming around him face as he blew underwater again, he did that whenever he was nervous or bored, it wasn't like he was losing air by doing like gilless creatures would if they tried "Good try, then why do I feel so nervous?" He shook his head and looked at her, realizing he was thinking out loud "Opps, didn't mean to say that, I mean I thought it, I mean, eh... sweatdrop " His ears lowed slowly trying to think of something to say, but nothing was coming to mind, this seem to happen alot to him ever since he met her
"I thwink he brweaking down?" She splashed alittle water around watching the two, it seemed funny to see him lose his train of thought alot, even when big words came out of his mouth

((Sorry spring break kind of amde the RP slip my mind since I usually post here during my 2 hour break between classes sweatdrop ))
"You sure you won't get bored?" He twitched his fin ewars, knowing most of the things he found fun were rathering boring to others "Well I like to read and study, lame huh..."
"Borwing: She yawned not knowing what he said, but if it was from Des it was probably boring to her "Do we ahve too?" She asked in a alittle begging tone of a child"
