onislayerman i have a lighting marine i need ideas for him comment too Very nice, but the bolts look rather random. Try to accent the details of the model with the lightning. A fork across the shoulder pads, something on the nose/across the face... Very fine job.

LOTS OF STUFF!!
I recently got some rangers in the mail. 10 of them. They are not the new Eldar Rangers, but I don't mind.
I painted onward..... In my opinion, the pictures do him no justice, but eh, I will post em up anyhow. My army theme is very odd and has developed more over the past week.

That is my Ranger. Very dark, but I didn't want to incorporate green as a main color because green is the color of all the gems on all my units in my army. (save my Avatar) And it would make my army have too much of a christmas theme, as red is another major color. So I basically decided he would be stealth themed more than Woodsman themed.
Thoughts, comments?
EDIT- I took out all the other photos because they were all ******** up... it is pissing me off!! STupid photobucket.

Does your camera always blur like that? How close do you hold it?

-Mykal You *do* use alot of drybrushing. It works well, problem is.. I really can't see the coloration on your models all that well. The light is too bright for the color scheme.

I use a webcam to take my pics, so the settings are very fiddley. I find it hard to capture thenm, but take it from me, the second two are s**t compared to the first one, with the cool gasmask.
I also can't do skin to save my life. I tried so much with that guy, but it all went to s**t.
I just need practice. D':

Well the style of drybrushing going with skin is a bit hard it would seem.. my style is kind of boarderline.. no where near as true in color as the 'Eavy Metal team stuff, but yea... not alot of drybrushing either.
The only way I know how to do skin is with color layering.

The only way I know how to do skin is with color layering. I didn't drybrush the head at all.
I used codex grey watered down Then Rotting Flesh, watered. Then Shull white, watered.
Not just 2 layers, I was on it for 10-20 minutes, but still. I just fail at skin.

I put it where I want it, sometimes water it down. I have a ceramic tile, glossy and smooth, for watering down, so I can see how thick it is. I also have some paper towel nearby to dab on it like when you cut yourself shaving, so it soaks up the most. Then I repeat that so I don't get it too much in the places I don't want it.

Ophiuchus Um.. arm? Looks like a pretty cool model, but you should probably find a better way to take some pictures.
