Donzu blushed slightly in response. She wasn't used to people being so warm and interested in her. And of all places... She didn't mind; it was nice. But, her mind quickly moved back to the situation at hand.

"What is this place...? Why are we all here? Is this a dream?"

James shook his head. "I wish," he said. "No, this place is as real as my back yard at home." He chuckled a little and gave an unhearted smiled. "If it's still my home anymore. We have no idea how time works here. We have no idea how anything works here." He sighed and shook his head again. "Especially the way to get out." He looked her in the eye as he spoke this time. "But we do know that there is a way. It's called The Phonebooth. If you manage to get there, you can call home and get out." James returned his gaze to the ground. "But no one I know's gotten outta here before. That's why we're heading for The Oasis. From there, we should have the resources to find what we're looking for."

((i like them both))

Nemoralis looked at Alwyn, thinking hard. "Dunno, where would you like to race?" Back home? Its just a wish away, right? Nemoralis shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts. "How about going far from campo and then going back to our leader? The first to get there wins?"

((wah, they are both really cool. don't make me pick! neutral ))

Kazeh looked back at him, and then to the ground, and then to no place in particular. She was deep in thought. It was suddenly apparent to her just how grave of a situation they all were in. But yet, somehow she felt safer now. Maybe it was the people she was with. Something made her feel that somehow, with these people, they would all pull through. That they would all be ok.

She gazed into the dying fire, her eyes getting heavier by the second. All of a sudden her wear had caught up with her. "I'm so sleepy," she said, falling back and looking up lackadaisically at the starry sky. "I used to stargaze all the time. In fact, my last memory of before here, I was looking at the stars. But this sky... it's weird. It's like familiar and strange at the same time..."

(Ditto.)

Isaac rolled over in his sleep. Little, soft noises coming from him. His leg kicked a little once or twice before he woke up suddenly. Sweat coating the back of his neck and hair. He looked over at the others before curling back up, trying to go unnoticed.

James sighed and lay back with her, his gaze following hers. "I know what you mean," he said. "It all looks so similar, but so different." He yawned. "Well," he said. "I guess we should get some sleep. Before too long, morning will be sneaking up on us!" He stood and grabbed yet another blanket from his pack. "You can have my tent," he said to Kazeh. "I'll sleep by the fire."

She nodded at his remark. He agreed with her, which made her feel less alone.

"No, that ok! Really..."she said as he got up. But she, especially, didn't even have to ask or even look at him to know he'd made up his mind. "Well... if you insist." she said, going towards the tent with her blanket. She stopped before going in. "Thanks. I really appreciate it."

Morning greeted him like a killer hangover. The sun was unusually bright in the sky, shedding light evenly on the desolate plain. The man opened his eyes and lifted his head from the ground. A little bit of dirt and sand stuck to his face, and when he brushed them off, left small dents in their place. He stood and raised his groggy gaze to the endless scape of land before him. He didn't even know which way The Hotel was anymore. There was the single tree so far away, and the slight cracks on the ground beside him where The Phonebooth had been. He quietly cursed and turned to where he thought he'd been heading the night before. I'll eventually find something, he thought. He started off at a jog, then picked up his pace after a few steps, continuing in this manner until he was at a dead sprint. I'll eventually find something, he reitterated to himself.

She watched as he stood, then froze him to come closer. He had an angular jaw and shining grey eyes. His black hair was tossled and falling more to one side, probably the side he'd been sleeping on. His neck was stocky, but not too thick, leading into his broad shoulders and strong upper body. His biceps were huge, almost as big as a small tree. He was strongly built, with good structure and the capability for hard work. His hands were no exception. The large expanse of fingers spread out from his thick palms, which were covered in a coarse hair reaching up the extent of his arms. She stepped back and smiled. He would do. She closed her eyes again and started him back up again, just before vanishing. He'd never even know she was there. Next stop: the Oasis-bound encampment.

Alwyn woke slowly the race had been fun but she couldnt remember who won, the sun shone bright and blinked her eyes... one more step close to home...

Kazeh woke and cuddled tighter with her blanket. She was so comfortable; with a blanket, in a nice tent... and finally a full night sleep without having to worry about dangerous creatures. If it hadn't been for the sun peeking through her tent, she would probably of had slept even longer.

She tried to think back on her dream. It was another, really deep one, and only a few fragments were coming to her at a time. That's how they worked; the dream would only reveal itself through seemingly random points through the day. But she always had a feeling of what the dream was about when she first woke up. No images, sounds, words... just a feeling. Sometimes it was good, sometimes bad, sometimes quirky. But most of all, it didn't have a clear cut description, it was just... a feeling. But one thing she knew for sure: it involved everyone at the camp, and somehow she already felt as if she knew everyone just a tiny bit better. Like if they had all been talking in her sleep, and she could hear the conversation...

Nemoralis woke from a terrible nightmare. Some had found her, and used her for some unknown reason; she still could not find and didn't want to find. You woke from a nightmare. You do nothing for me but state the obvious. But thank you either way for pointing it out. Do you know what the dream was about? I actually rather not know for certain, but some clarity would do me good. You are being manipulated by something-- Enough! I wish to listen no more to what you have to say, but I do wish you to protect me from the intrusion. I can only try my best, but only you can vanish that force for yourself. After all, you allowed the force to come in. Then tell me, how did it got into my head? I seem to have facilitated the thoughts to go in to your head. Then negate this access by all means necesary. It might actually allow this intruder more of a grip on yourself. Precisely, then only try to not let it propagate.I shall try my best. Thank you, vey much. Please do take care of my mind. Nemoralis turned around to find Alwyn near by. Nemoralis remembered the race, the fun and the joy of being able to fly and smiled at Alwyn. She could care less about the person who won the race, she was happy to have had a good time. As she stretched, a little bit of herslef was shone through the gaps of her cloak, a small child waking between garbage cans, waking with the moonlight, fear in her face, and distress obvious, she began to run for her life in the middle of the night.

James stood and stretched, taking in a deep breath. Letting it out, he let his gaze trail from one point on the horizon to another. Smiling, he cupped his hands around his mouth and shouted. "Come on, people!" he said. "Let's get some breakfast! We should be out of here in an hour at least!" He could hear various groans comind from tents. He furrowed his brow. People don't appreciate a good morning person, he thought. He shrugged and went to digging some food from his pack. Huh, their loss.

She froze them all at once with a mere wave of her hand. She carefully walked to each tent and inspected the person inside of it, examining her array of possibilities. After looking at all of them, she stood back and thought for a moment, taking in the whole frozen moment. And idea came to her and a devilish grin appeared on her face. She quickly set to work, and after a few minutes was finished. She stood back once more, admiring her craftiness. With another wave, the scene continued, her visage disappearing from the stretch of plain surrounding the encampment.

Nemoralis shivered, and was shaking to badly by the time anyone took notice. The Lady was here!!!! Ring, was there some one here? I swear I saw the Lady come by! I wonder what she has in mind, I wonder what she wants, I wonder if she wants me to do something for her... I wonder if she is responsible of this... Nemoralis looked at her shaking hands, and hugged herself. Some one was around, I can tell you that much. I wish to feel better. Her shaking hands brought from beneath her cloak a glass of water and, driking it all, Nemoralis looked around, feeling less shaky but more and more afraid by the moment. She looked around, expectantly, knowing that something would be happening soon. She began shaking again, and this time, she couldn't seem to be able to drink properly from her glass.

Isaac stirred in the dirt, a strange feeling awakening him. He sat on the ground with a strange look upon his face. He would probably continue to do this for several minutes before finally being really awake. He blinked once and looked groggily to the others. "Did one of these guys do something?" He grumbled as he tried to stand up, and failed. Falling back to his backside, he waited longer before trying this again.
