Miah sat up in her apartment the dusty light of a cloudy day bleeding in through the blinds and walked across the hall to her closet digging around in her clothing collection till she found a cute skirt and top with fishnet to keep up the Halloween spirit. She zipped the sides of her heeled boots and climbed down the fire escape to dodge the landlady. It was getting to the end of the month and she didn't wanna have the long talk about how " inappropriate" the lifestyle she lived to make rent was. She took of down the sidewalk to the costume store to find a cute Halloween costume for the party that was supposedly happening tonight. " this is stupid I never even asked where this party would be," she said to herself under the sound of the storefront bell ringing.
