"These so called masters... I heard the villagers whispering the Fire Master rivaled the 'Great Hokage (Shodaime)' in prowess." Elruda then suddenly remembered something very important. "I...do recall a fairytale that was often told to the new generations of Konoha... About how five sorcerers of different elements were sealed away..." But if the fairytale referred to the Masters, then who sealed those so-called-immortal shinobi away...?

"Dead?" She whispered. Elruda felt her willingness to talk slip away. If so, then could her parents possibly have been killed as well? And the rebel army? Back in Konoha she had only heard rumors that the old Hokage was still alive. Her mind screamed at her to continue talking but Elruda's lips wouldn't move. "N-no..."

She had to say something else, to end this awkward converstation. Perhaps back to talking about the younger days in the Hyuuga clan? How awful... Elruda thought sourly. Asking a Hyuuga to have a friendly conversation was near equivalent to stabbing themselves. Nevertheless, Elruda continued talking about a tale of her younger days. She remembered how during the meditation lesson that she had fallen asleep and she told Wrath how the elders would smack her awake with a long whip-like stick. "Those old geezers were pretty mean..." But you're meaner... She wanted to say.

"So how was life in your clan?" She was quite curious. If Wrath did spend his younger days in the lonely temple on the lake, then that must've been pretty boring... But then, life in the Hyuuga was pretty boring too... Elruda was an exception.

"I suppose that its still a possibility that the hokage is alive. My uncle has told me that Iwagakure is still free and managed to fend off the earth master. And that that there is a resistance in Sunagakure. But if that information is true about the resistance then they have probably been dealt with already because if information like that was able to travel this far then the master in that village surely knows about." Wrath mentioned trying to reassure the girl.

Seeing as Wrath may not be too willing to answer yet, Elruda continued on. "The Hyuuga compound...well...there used to be two parts to it but now they made it back into one..." She roughly estimated Wrath's family temple and compared it to the Hyuuga's in her mind. "Well...we didn't have a temple. That belonged to the Uchihas. But the compound was fairly large. The Branch house used to be reserved for the cursed-seal bearing Hyuugas back then...when it was still used. But before the Fire Master invaded, the servants lived there...and guests, outsiders in general." Suddenly remembering the library, she continued. "We had a library too but was much smaller. Usually only Genin and above clansmen could access it."

"Oh." She blinked. Then where the hell did Wrath live? This conversation was getting stranger by the minute. She briefly went over in her mind what she possibly would want to ask her sensei. If her sensei really was this anti-social, this activity really did require more brain usage than the previous ones.

Elruda briefly thought to herself what she should ask her sensei. All she learned so far was that his clan lived elsewhere in Amegakure. She had failed to wheedle his age from him but that mattered little. Well, all she got to do is sneak a peak at the village records, right? She ran through a mental list in her head.
- Ask him if he ever taught students before...?
- Taijutsu style...?
- Something about his clan, maybe customs...?

Wait a moment. Didn't Wrath use one of the traps from his uncle's workshop for her trap-disabling activity? Maybe she could wheedle out whom his relatives were and maybe their occupations. But at the rate this conversation is going it would only be if she was lucky, that is...

"Well...everyone in the Hyuuga considered each other as family... Supposedly, a thousand year back, we would be... Hm...the clan was too large to keep track of back then. Many had moved away to other villages and to seek their own destinies. But it is really annoying, the family 'reunions' that is..." Elruda shuddered at the memory. "You could barely breathe in the rooms with so many people..."

"Hm...oh...and the modern Hyuugas worked more democratically than those 600 years back did. The clan leader (Hyuuga Hinata) back then did away with the Council and the Branch house. During her time, the clan was falling apart from disunion. Those of the Branch house really despised the Main for their oppression... They also didn't like that the Main house members could kill them instantenously with the Cursed Seal. Hyuuga Hinata united the two branches but more problems came from the former Head family, whom resented the loss of power. But with her protector, Hyuuga Neji, they quelled the rebellion." She thought for a moment whether she should continue. "If they still had the Cursed Seal...I would probably be in the branch house for incompetence."

Elruda was curious about life in Wrath's clan but he didn't seem very open in talking about his past. She wondered about how old the Fujiko clan was... Hyuuga, on the most part, had been with Konoha ever since the beginning...when Shodaime Hokage founded the village. Maybe later, when she get the chance to slip away from Wrath...perhaps if she poke around Amegakure a bit, she might get some more information on his clan.
