acarin started looking for a partner. "hmm, there was that girl that seemed to really like the fight," acarian thought to himself as he scaned the crowd for her. he spotted her near a wall with another girl he walked over to her and said, "i couldn't help but notice that you really liked my fight. would you like to partner up??"

((First period will be wrapped up at the end of this week -Saturday or Sunday at the latest- so please draw your instruction to a close before then.
I'm sure most of you have already noticed this, but I've fallen into the rhythm of a weekly passage of time. Since game time tends to run much slower than real time -being the nature of most forum-based RPGs- a week in real life should give everyone enough time to finish what they need. This is probably going to be the way I'm running things for a while, so I figured I might as well clue everybody in just as a precaution.
Tobi, you're fine with what you've been doing--detail is often good, as it sets up what the class is doing. Just give everyone an equal opportunity for controlling classes.
Otherwise, everything has been running smoothly; thanks for that!))
Hearing Anne's remark, Asako winked, and said quietly, "It's no big deal. I didn't have the answer, and I wasn't just going to sit there like an idiot! And I hope the you're right about Mr. Brown--all in all, I have a feeling this isn't going to be that fun a class."
Looking down at Anne's written reply, she felt both pleased and slightly disappointed. She was proud that Anne wasn't just going to go for the first guy she liked--in Asako's eyes, that showed that she wasn't too clingy or dependent on having a guy, which was good. On the other, it meant that Asako would have to wait once again for her fun.
Noticing that the teacher was once again watching them, Asako looked up quickly, trying her best to act innocent, though it came out rather more like she was stoned.
Once Mr. Brown's eyes had passed from them, she wrote hastily in the notebook, Good for you! Keep your options open--and you never know, maybe he'll turn out to be a great friend!
Deciding it would be better to at least try to pay attention, Asako turned one ear to focus on the teacher's lecture, scribbling a few sentences about the different dialects of nymphs, "depending on location of their chosen realms and difference of species," his exact words were, in her red composition notebook.

Tristelle listened attentively to the teacher, despite her distance from the group. She had always been a good student, and never assumed anything a teacher said was unimportant. From the description, this seemed like an easy enough method, but it was hard to know for sure until it was tested. She almost winced when Miss Deltacroix told them to partner up. She knew it would be part of the course, but dreaded it nevertheless. She almost didn't hear when the girl from the mess hall yesterday approached her, with a bottle of blood. "Uh, no." She said, quickly looking away. "Not if it's human." Clearly this girl was also a vampire, confirming her suspicions from the day before. It almost felt good that someone knew what she was. "Thanks though." She said, turning back to face the girl with a smile. She had been on a strict diet of large animal since she had become a vampire... With a few accidental exceptions. She was about to say something else, try to start a conversation, when she caught the scent of the guy from the sparring match. The one that smelled so... She shook her head, cursing herself mentally. She looked up and saw he was coming towards her. She watched as he approached, pushing her black hair away from her eyes, allowing her to get a better look.
I couldn't help but notice that you really liked my fight. Would you like to partner up?" Tristelle hesitated, and almost declined. She knew that nothing would make the others more suspicious than if she remained totally isolated for the rest of the year. "Sure." She said, forcing a smile, despite her nervousness, and grabbed her spear.

Three of them were grouped up. The one he'd dueled, and two others, both looking to be vampires. Their eyes and teeth showed it. Mori walked over to them hesitantly, gingerly holding his dagger-like weapon. When he reached them, he spoke: "Odd, isn't it? Two humans and two vampires, all clustered up." Mori stopped, glancing from the vampires to Arcarian. "Would any of you three like to pair up with me?" he said, lacking the knowledge that two of the three had already partnered up.

Tristelle winced and sighed. Great. Now three people knew. "Yeah, I'm Tristelle... Could you please keep the whole vampire thing a secret? I'm not exactly proud..." She shook her head and turned to the other guy and smiled, "Actually, I already told Acarian I'd partner with him." She said shyly with a shrug. She took a step forward, standing as close to Acarian as she dared, which wasn't close. "Ready?" She asked with a small smile.

"yes, i can keep it a secret, but you shouldn't be ashamed of who you are. i have a soft spot for vampires, so you are the one race i try to help out," acarian said to tristelle. "so, do you want me to use powers, or should i go easy on you?" acarian asked with a grin.

"A soft spot for leeches?" Tristelle asked in disbelief. She shook her head and took an extra step back. His scent was so inviting. She had to try even harder than usual to keep control. She looked up to him, thoughtful when he asked what level she would like. She knew her reflexes were amazingly quick. That was something she couldn't help. She had never actually fought with her newly acquired power, but she knew what she was capable of from sparring lessons from when she was human. "Well, it is only stance breaking..." She shrugged, then smiled darkly. "Anything goes?"

"well, if anything goes, then i'm going to have some fun with this," acarian smiled darkly as he went dragon, covering his body in scales, growing wings, teeth, and talons, to be a human dragon.in a deeper, demonic voice, he growled, "are you ready for this?" as he rose off the ground and charged.

Tristelle almost regretted saying that. What if some one saw her? They'd be suspicious. She quickly looked around the gym, and thankfully, most of the students were already paired up and sparring.
"Well, if anything goes, then I'm going to have some fun with this,"
She turned back to face Acarian and her eyes widened slightly. Great. So much for not drawing attention. The guy was half dragon for heavens sake! "Now that just isn't fair." Tristelle said with a laugh, but nodded anyway. Her eyes grey colored eyes stuck to him, watching with excitement as he rose off the ground and literally hovered towards her at an incredible speed. Wanting to test her limits, she waited until the last possible second, until his katana was almost on her, before rapidly raising her spear, blocking with it's iron shaft. A loud clash faded in with the rest, echoing through the gym. The hit was powerful, and she leaned back slightly, making sure she didn't fall back. "Always ready." She said with a smile and she pushed forward, straightening again. She paused for a moment, before pulling her spear away from his sword, and swinging it horizontally, bringing the dulled tip towards his side.

Kuragari pulled the bottle to her lips and drank deeply. "I don't care," steeping a few stap back she put the bottle away and waited for the human to get ready. "Don't be afraid to attack me I wont bite." She let a cold smirk come to her face. Croushnd down and holdind her blade sheathed to the side, (ok I'm a nerd so let me just say she's using the Hiten Hitsargi style from Ruroni Kenshin.)

acarian was not ready for the block that she threw up. he put a lot of power into that swing and wasn't ready for the recoil, more or lees the spear that slashed his side. acarian floated back and landed. "i congradulate you for that hit. not many people are good enough to do that." acarian grinned. "i think i'll go for speed this time," he said pulling in his wings. as quickly as he could run, he got behind her and went for a vertical slash.

Mori frowned. She looked kinda dangerous. "Don't care about what?" He said, readying his dulled blade. He rushed at Kuragari, arm pulled back to make a sharp jabbing movement. At the last moment, he shifted his weight to one of his legs, making a fast, uncontrolled legsweep.

Aqua finished up her writing, and passed it forward with everyone else's. Ms. Morningstar, collected them in, put them into a neat pile and said "class dismissed." Aqua joined into the crowd of students flowing out the classroom, and sighed, hearing people chattering around her. 'its like the always say... you feel more alone in the the middle of a crowd. i don't even have any roommates! although that could be a good thing. for starters, i don't need to keep my wings and tail in while I'm in there. but still...'

Hearing the sound of Acarian's rapidly approaching footsteps, and shortly after, that of his blade cutting through the air, it was obvious Tristelle didn't have time to block. Instead, she made a swift sidestep to the left, out of the blades path, while at the same time, turning to face Acarian. Miss Deltacroix's instructions repeated her head, Step one: Waiting for them to show an opening. Head for the legs. She quickly crouched down some, and made a swing for the back of his legs.
