Sarjak looked over her shoulder to Kevven as she walked away, but in doing so had seen Mags ride into the forest. Pausing, she hesitated.
If Kevven is right about the bandits, perhaps it would be best to warn the travelers... And investigate myself for the protection of the people...
She then gave a soft sigh, and turned to Kevven. "I change my mind. I will come."

Kevven had already turned away, apparently looking at something else. Or someone.
A large black hooded figure stood infront of Kevven, and spoke with a nerve racking voice, "You failed me again." His voice boomed. Kevven's eyes went wide, "N-no." A longer bony hand emerged from the cloak, wrapping itself around Kevven's throat, and picking the poor Halfling up off the ground. The cloak spoke again, "You know what happens to those whom betray me, Kevven. You failed to get the holy artifact, and failed to meet your quota. These misgivings do not go unpunished."
Kevven's eyes bulged out as he gasped for air, "S-sir, I o-only need mmore time." The hand tightened at these words, "I've given you enough time. I hope the afterlife treats you well."

Sarjak's eyes widenned as she saw Kevven get attacked.
"UNHAND HIM DEMON!" She shouted out. She would rush at him and deliver two swift claw-swipes towards the being's body, followed with a reptilian snap of jaws. (1d4+4 for first claw, 1d4+4 for second, then 1d4+2 for bite)

[There are several ways to make characters that can do something like that. He still have to roll Hide.]

[I think there's an illusion spell like that. Major Image can do everything you just said...with the exception of picking you up, of course. >.> But yes, Major Image allows one to create a image of a creature, person, or object. This image includes sound, smell, and thermal illusions, so most people would think that it was real until they made contact with it (Will Save to disbelieve). With concentration, the caster can move the image. If the image is struck, it disappears. The range is long, so it can be within 400+40 ft per caster level and is a Lvl 3 Bard and Lvl 3 Wiz/Sor spell.]

[There is, but if he used it this is the way it would work:
1) ACE attacks. If she hits...
2) Mysterious Figure casts Teleport
3) ACE gets an attack of opportunity.
4) Mysterious figure has to make a Concentration check with DC (10+damage dealt by ACE) to see if he resolves the spell.
5a) If MF succeeds, he's gone.
5b) If MF fails, he's at the mercy of ACE until he can try to cast it again.
So, depending on how much damage ACE deals (And trust me, Monks can deal A LOT), the MF could have a hard time on his hands. It would just be easier to change your post and make it a Major Image. Less headaches that way.]
[On another note, I thought Monks had higher unarmed damage. >.>]

[She would have gotten a Will save against an illusion, and yeah... Teleporting out of a bad situation isn't easy. Though... isn't there a Teleport Trigger or something? <.< Maybe you should refrain from producing villians for the moment. I mean, I realize this is RandomQuest, but it seems like everyone is making up their own quest, and this campaign can only go in one direction at a time.]
