Well, it should. Especially seeing as I specifically asked whether or not explosions would work and was told yes. Besides, it would be godmodding if he takes our characters powers without permission and him saying all attacks aren't working.
Besides, he annoyed me by practically saying I was stupid for cutting the tentacles. I know that cutting them wouldn't work but Haki wouldn't. After all he wasn't there at the initial attack so he wouldn't have seen that little display of supposed invincibility.

Yes, you can use him like that. His real body is inside you, so if you need the quill back, it will reform.

If you look at the way the armor formed in my post, first he kissed you, then was absorbed through your mouth, and then the armor formed on your body after passing a check from your self conscious to confirm the type of armor.
And no... he can't really escape.
