ananda082001 DarkScarlettVixen It was good. Okay, this is open to anyone who knows: What the heck is Vincent because he sure as ....uh...honey ain't human? Wasn't he one of Hojo's experiments? And he turned out sort of vampirey, shape shiftery? Wait, Vincent Valentine or a different Vincent? sweatdrop Yeah Vincent Valentine. I was watching Youtube stuff and saw and little thing from Dirge of Cerebus and Vincent turned all funky he kicked butt and I was like, "WTF?!" And it was cool.... xp Talon Prime V for Vendetta is . . . interesting. Took me a while to get used to the constant British accent, but not a bad thing. The only frustration is you never see "V's" face. As I understand it, there is a lack of one being there, but overall it is a good movie. Scarlett- of course you can sit with the old folks. It is usually the young'ns that want to distance themselves from us old fogeys. 4laugh If you are referring to Vincent from the Final Fantasy VII game, then he was human. In fact, a member of the enforcer squad called the "Turks." If memory serves, he fell in love with a woman named Lucrecia- but she fell for Hojo the scientist. Hojo in turn used the unborn child he made with her for his experiments. That child was Sephiroth. When Vincent tried to stop the experiments, Hojo started to experiment on him as well. That is why Vincent can change form for a time. It is also why he survived by sleeping in a coffin- his way of repenting for the sins he felt he caused or was connected with. * looks all nerdy* I have been RPing in one way or another for over 17 years. Yep, I have been at it longer than the majority of Gaia has been alive!!! emo *glomps* Thank you! I like older people....they're cool and they can say the coolest stuff and not get in trouble! ^^ Okay, is Dirge of Cerebus only a game or is there a little movie too....or is it only an in-game movie?

FF VII: Dirge of Cerberus is a game only. A cross between RPG and FPS, it has had some mixed reviews. Personally, I want it- but can wait for it to drop in price a bit.
*looks to Krome puzzled* Isn't saying "Old Man Ojiisan" somewhat redundant? confused And don't I get props for not only recognizing the movie, but the scene it was in too?

*ultra-mega catchup action*
Hi all you new people, welcome to the RPR.
I was too young when I played FF7 to remember much of the story. >.>;;
I never saw that movie, either.
Forgive tardiness of post. Been hectic lately. Spent last two hours at boyfriend's playing Shadow of the Colussus instead of studying.
...I'm bad, I know. razz I've got a lot of catchup to do tonight.
Welcome again new people! Hope you find a game soon! *resists urge to give props to own flailing RP*
Edit: Looks like my RP got the can anyway since I don't see it anymore >.<

Yikes, Talon, that sure is a while!
*has only been RPing for 1 year* I never really knew about RPing until someone introduced me to gaia. They personally never cared much for it, and I registered for an account just for fun. I ignored the account for a little while, but found Gaia to be an interesting place. Within 2 weeks of joining Gaia, I was lucky to have found the RPR. I was accepted, but ddin't even make my first post until 2 weeks later.
xd mini-onion...
*gives Ivel a poultice to help sooth the pain*
Talon is a GENIUS! Either that... or a nerd! blaugh
That's good old-fahsioned respect shinig through. sadly, that repsect is fading from today's society. Seniority means nothing anymore.
SoC looks so good. I'm dying to play it. Oh, well, Dana. Not every RP will work the first time through. I guess that not enough people were interested.

SoC is *awesome*.
Seriously. It's every bit as epic as you might imagine it and it's SO intense...the way the mood swings from peaceful travel to suddenly staring down a 100 ft tall creature made of stone...there's nothing like it.
And yeah. I didn't know if it would take off, so to speak, or not. I'm disappointed, but I feel worse for the few people that wanted to take part and never got the chance.

Well, lay off for a little while. When Galvan II dies (it inevitably will, I'm not wishing bad luck or anything), that would be the perfect time to try satr Wars Gavotte gain. More people than usual will be active and excitement and enthusiasm will still be very high. You will get the maximum return that way.

I am sorry about Gavotte . . . right now, things are at an unfortunate lull . . . Personally I am growing weary of waiting for Galvan. Literally months after it was set up, and we are still waiting. Sure real life can suck you away, but this is getting rediculous.

Wow, you're right Talon, you've been RPing for more than a year more than I've lived sweatdrop I've only been RPing for the past... 5 or 6 years I think.
SoC is awesome. I've got it, just never feel like playing for some reason. Finally figuring out how to take down on of the giants is always awesome though.
Sorry about the RP Dana, I would've joined, but with AP history, AP English, and other random club/kung fu stuff, I don't have the time to do more than check on a couple OOC threads on Gaia... xp

Oooh, kung fu. Can't say I know a lot about the styles outside the ones I'm practicing (taekwondo, judo, hapkido, brown fighting system), but kung fu's always struck me as cool. Though I did see a documentary that involved the different styles awhile back--some coolness from styles around there...

I've wanted to study martial arts before, but from the martial artists I know...I just don't know if I've got that kind of dedication for it. Chick I know works out like four hours a day >.< I can't do that. Working out for ONE is enough for me.

VERY effective, fun, challenging AND doesn't take too much dedication. mrgreen

-whimpers from all the hittingx..xoh woes meXD
-feels better wiht the poultice-
I wanna learn Capoeira(I think thats how its speltx.x), which is an orginally Brazilian matial arts designed to look like dancing(as it was developed by Brazilian slaves, they didnt want to get caught practicing fighting neh?)
I've started to work out a bit, and building up my arm and leg strength, since Capoeira requires you to spend most of the times on your hands isntead of your feet, or in some other contortionists/acrobat's maneuver^_^
I played SoC a while ago, it as awesome, very little replayability but it's jsut soo..-drool-
my favorite collosus had to be either the sand dragon(the one that flies around this hgue expanse of empty sand).
my favorite part of SoC was the music, it was jsut palced -Perfectly-
When you were on the ground and the collusus attacked you, the music was slow and pondrous as the titan chased you about, but as you climb up towards it's head(or the approximation of), the music would get whimsical as you swing hundreds of feet above the ground, sounding inspirational and upliftingXD

Capoiera = not my kind of sport (yes it's a sport), I suck at dancing sweatdrop And it's very different from many martial arts, since you never make physical contact in it...

Haha, I've been doing it since I was 5ish, about 10 or 11 years. All Choy Lay Fut. I'm not especially good, especially considering how long I've been going, but I've gotten a lot better since I started really getting into it the past year or so.
The place I go to, Tat Wong, has a kickboxing place too. The guy who runs that part is hella good. He used to teach at our branch a long time ago.
