*blinks a bit as he apparently fell asleep where he was sitting and takes a sip of his coffee*
Gah! *he spits the coffee back into the cup* Dammit...*he gets up and walks behind the bar and pours the old coffee down the sink an pours himself a new mug*

Ms Clarice Ferguson I am Lily Moonbeam, last of the Moon Maidens and this here is my sworn protector and teacher in the ways of the maidens, Melvin. The monkey? He is pretty cute. Sorry to say but I have never heard of moon maidens.

Oh that's probably because I'm the very last one! The maidens are a group of mystical women who derive their powers from the Moon and the magical moon lily that only blooms at night near a special lake in Moon Valley. Usually, this title is passed on from Mother to daughter, however no women in my family had ever been Moon Maidens. I'm a special case.

She kept her pregnancy secret by using her powers to fool everyone including my father. I only found out when my adoptive mother told me on her deathbed. We were attacked by anti-mutant fanatics. That was the day my powers first formed. after my mom died the phoenix force came to me. I had heard that my birth mother had troubles controlling it, but not me. I just seemed to take to it naturally. I swore to use my powers and the phoenix force to protect mutant kind.
