Well, a Gavotte is also a light, quick, energetic dance (French in origin, I believe). So the quote isn't entirely inappropriate.
I chose it as the name because I imagined dogfighting as a very rapid, jumpy type of "dance", as it's so often described in books.
And since the RP is about pilots...well, I thought it sorta fit.

Pollwhoring isn't worth it anymore, since you no longer get 10g for polls. Posting is hardly worth it either. I've noticed the Avatar arena gives you the most, around 2-3 gold per vote (more in the beginning). So yeah, pretty much the only thing you can do nowadays to gain gold is, exchange, play games or sell some stuff you've drawn/made. gonk

Also, since the original Star Wars spacefighting scenes were modeled(believe it or not)after WWII aircraft carrier fights(i.e., dogfights while larger ships pummmel eachother), and dogfights are essentiallyt a danc euntil someone gets caught in teh crosshairs....XD^+^ -blinks and looks around-Meh...so tiredx.x

I'm new here, so go easy on me. However, I have been roleplaying since '77, so I am an old hat at that. 4laugh
