Raphael sat there. Would he really be able to fly again? To see his brother again? To make up for not winning the war?
Maria followed.
Fate had gotten a good distance away. She stopped and sat down for a bit, absolutely sure Yukai was still sitting at home, still clueless... still not caring. He cared more about Karuhi, he cared more about Maria... about anyone else but her. She didn't matter and that hurt her more than any wound could, of course, she wasn't rested and hadn't ate... so yukai was probably faster than her. Though that didn't matter! He wouldn't come anyways..

Taiki came back with a pair of keys, he had taken it from Malinka's room without waking him and held it out for Raphael. "Here mister..." he was too short to reach the lock.
Yukai caught up with Fate and tackle hugged her tightly, burying his face in her shirt. "Dammit I'm so oblivious! I thought Karuhi was ment to be my soulmate so I kept trying to love her but...she isn't my soulmate...you are." He held her tight, weak also but not as bad.

Raphael took the keys and forced himself to stand up, wobling a little since he hadn't been on his feet in a while. He unlocked the door and folded up his wings, picking up Taiki. He smiled at him.
"T-Thank you... s-so much." He snuck out to the roof with him, letting his wings stretch and spread for the first time in a long time.
Fate looked at him shocked before hugging him back and, for the first time in five years, crying. Sob shook her body, the many tears she had forced herself not to cry in attempts to maybe look as strong as Karuhi, to maybe scale up to her a little bit.
Maria leaned against the tree and watched them.

Taiki held tight and smiled big. "Yay! Fly fly!" He flailed his arms then held on again around his neck and wiggled to get comfortable.
Yukai held tight and cried into her shoulder. "I-I'm so sorry Fate... I'm a idiot, a oblivious idiot! Please tell me if your not happy, you can always leave me but for right now let me try to make you happy..."

Raphael smiled and nodded.
"O-Okay then..." His wings flapped once before he took of in to the sky, the sun glittering off his wings. He stopped pretty high up, hovering a little.
Fate pulled back a little and made him look at her by placing his head in her hands. She seemed to be studying him for a while, making sure it was him, then smiled just slightly.
"I-I'll be happy.. a-as long as yo u.. d-don't leave m-me..."

Taiki got wide eyed and clung tightly, smiling even though Loki could see Raphael, just not Taiki cause he was too small. "Dis fun!"
Yukai nodded, hugging her again and tightly. "I won't until the day I die..." He pulled her in and kissed her deeply.

Raphael smiled a little then fell back and went in to a downwards corkscrew, just barely dodging a fire ball. He landed soft on the room and put Taiki down.
"I want you to go back inside and pretend like you weren't with me. I'll be back though, you are my nephew after all. I'll fly you again sometime.. maybe you'll even grow your own wings, it's a trait in our family."
Loki growled.
"Dammit how did he get out?!" He ran back inside, trying to get up the steps as fast as possible.
Fate stayed there, shocked a little, in till she kissed him back, clinging to him like her life depended on it.

Taiki frowned and nodded, smiling cause he'd get to fly again sometime! "Okie mister...but get out of here before daddy comes!" He pushed him a bit to try and get him going before running the door to the stairs and hid behind the small wall around it, so that he could get past his dad.
Yukai smiled then he felt it, Raphael was free! "Come on...lets go wait for Raphael to come..."

Raphael nodded and just barely made it off the roof before Loki bursted out. He flew out and in to the forest, since he wouldn't be able to get far on his legs. His wings still hurt too, but he was free!
Loki watched Raphael getting smaller and smaller then disappear. He growled and punched the railing, breaking it and his hand even more.
"Dammit!!!!!!!"
Fate nodded and wiped away her tears, getting up because Maria helped her up. Fate took Yukai's hand and started to walk away with him while Maria looked up at the sky, looking for Raphael.
Raphael found them and landed in front of them, barely staying standing. he was exhausted, but he was happy, he wasn't a prisoner anymore and he was SHOCKED. His mother was there, which only made him happier.
Maria's eyes watered.
"My poor son... look at what they did to you!" She raced up to him, hugging him gently. Raphael looked like he was already dead! He was so skinny! And there was barely a place left on his body not covered in blood, not to mention he was covered in so many cuts! Even his hair was dirty and blood stained, one eye completely blacked and bruises all over. Not to mention his wings, which were better but were limp now!
Raphael slumped in Maria's arms and hugged her weakly.
"Mother..."

Taiki watched and teared up cause his dad was scaring him, he'd be french toast if he found out but he was just so scared that he hid behind it to curl up and cry in his legs, trying to muffle himself.
Yukai saw Raphael and pulled Fate over before letting go and lifting Raphael into his arms. "Dammit, our pretty beat up, come on mother...come on Fate." He carried Raphael since they were still weak. He'd cook something for Raphael later but it was a sign they could change what happened. "How did you get out brother?" He asked worried, what if they followed?!

Loki didn't hear him, he flopped back and curled up in to a ball, gripping his head.
"Dammit, I'm toast."
Raphael curled up, he weighed practically nothing. His wings disappeared, dropping a few of their precious gold feathers.
"Ta-taiki.. let me o-out... o-our nephew.... L-Loki had.. ch-children. L-Loki wa-watched me le-leave but.... i-isn't... f-following any.. t-time soon."

Taiki noticed he had a chance to get away and crawled around to the door, opening it since the wind closed it and ran full speed down the stairs, tripping at the last two steps and falling flat on his face, crying loudly cause he scraped his cheek on the rug.
Yukai set him down on the couch and grabbed those bandages from earlier, getting any infection out and cleaning up the blood before wrapping his bigger cuts up. "Fate can you make him something to eat?" He looked back down and fixed his bangs. "He is still Loki's son, he's just too young and innocent right now...don't trust kids..." he warned cause he had trusted javian before and it ended up with Karuhi finding him.

Karuhi had been walking by, she picked up Taiki and held him close. She spoiled this little kid a lot, got him basically everything he wanted and took his side against Sana.
"Hey, shhhh... It's alright." She healed his cheek. "Shh, do you want some candy, I just got a bunch today.."
Fate nodded.
"Of course..." She walked in to the kitchen and raided the fridge.
Maria sat on the arm of the couch.
Raphael suddenly looked really sad.
"I-I... kn-know brother..."

Taiki sniffled and rubbed his eyes, Karuhi was the nicest to him, she'd always tell Loki she'd give him the spankings then secretly give him candy or a treat and say don't do it again. "Do chu have gummies?" He loved gummy candy and chocolate.
Yukai sighed and cleaned his face up. "You can rest after we get something in your stomach...you look anorexic..."

Karuhi smiled.
"I always have gummies..." She kissed his forehead and carried him away to her room, which was one of the largest in the house. She placed him down then rumuged through one of her drawers, pulling out a bag of gummy bears and handing it to Taiki before sitting down in front of him and taking a few for himself.
Raphael smiled a little bit.
"W-well no d-duh brother... th-they didn't.. f-feed me." He forced himself to sit up, wincing a bit.
Fate came out with some rice and some water.
"Here you go Raphael!" She placed down on the table and quickly moved her hands out of the way as Raphael dived for it, scooping it up and eating quickly.
