So far he had been blank, no coherrent thoughts were heard in his mind. Like drifting softly in a pool of black ink. Nothing was clear, everything clouded, but at times peaceful. Though he felt pain, horrendous pain that had began to become only a numbing feel. He didn't know who he was, what he was, where he was at, nothing at all. Just falling gently inside the black. And then a dripping began. It wasn't visible, in fact it was audible. Like water dripping from a leaky spaucet. A drip, drip, drip. And then the pain began back. The burning threw his veins brought him upwards. The taste of whatever it was melted into him and unconsciously he leaned up a bit, reaching out and taking a hold of Kiara's wrist. First the grasp was a bit viscious but as he brough her arm down to his mouth it seemed to softened as if recognizing her touch, her skin. Though the entire time he was still unconscious, unaware that he was moving. But his fangs began to show as it grazed against her skin. A slight squeeze helped more blood flow onto his tongue and down his throat. Edward would have objected to this if he was awake, but his vampiric self needed it. Stranger how it was careful.

Fang turned to Kiara. "Remember Kiara, he isn't actually awake yet. This is subconscious need, so don't let him drink too much. During the time I have been in this cave, I have noticed that my magic is being insulated by the cave walls instead of dissipating naturally. Give him about another two or three minutes then cut him off and let him rest. My magic in this room can finish the job."

James listened to Fang with full interest, absorbing every word like a sponge. "Right, so it's all or nothing. Alright, lesson learned." He was still holding on to his stomach, this was right about the time Fang changed back and made his order. "Show off, and believe me I never planned on it. I have no objections, Im willing to learn any thing you will teach me. Besides, I was a cursed being remember? If I didnt like showing my powers off in public, what makes you think I would even dream of going out in the fuzz?" It wasn't sarcasm, he was being honest. He had no intentions of challenging Fang's orders, or any one else for that matter. "You may be right Envi, but I think it was worth it." He looked back to Kiara when he said that. "I know Edwards past, just as you do. I saw it through Ryu's eyes when he turned me. I know hes a monster, but in the end so are we. Would you persecute one monster, without persecuting us all? Besides, you know and I know, that she would never be happy with out him." He turned back to Envi as he said that. Making his true intentions clear as to why he got in the way.
It wasn't long before Xagetta returned, carrying with him the 2 deer he had killed not too long ago. He looked around to see who all was here. Sakura being the one that stood out the most. "Where's Takeshio?" He said as he laid the doe down on the ground. Then with all his might, he tossed the buck into the back of the cave over Envi and Fang, behind the bed. "I figured Kiara might need something to eat when she gets done, so I brought a little something extra." After that, he picked the doe back up and did the same thing he did with the buck. When he was done, he went over to Fang and whispered in his ear. "Thanks for teaching him, I know its not your place but I figured you were the best man for the job." He left it at that as he leaned up against the wall of the cave.
Upon Xagetta's arrival, James instinctively sniffed out the dead dear, and watched it with feral eyes as it flew over his head. Before he could think he was already on his hands and knees, as he saw it land with a thud, he racked his tongue across his teeth. His eyes began to glow a bright blue as he changed back into his wolf form, which in opposite of his human state seemed almost effortless, this of course being brought on by the hunger. When it was done, he leaped at the dead animal, devouring the carcase on landing. In about 20 minutes he was done. He cleaned the blood off him as best he could, then came back out into plain view. "That's better. Well I guess I get to try this again." He did exactly every thing as before, this time however he put all the magic available to him into the change and healing as it took place. This time it happened a lot smoother, though it still left him a bit exhausted. Almost instantly, he dropped to the bed on his side. Breathing heavily as he laid there. His muscles were sore from the frequent changes, hopefully this would be the last one for right now.

"actually xagetta. it is my place to teach him. I guess you werent here when i said it, but im the new beta. man i sure am glad you brought two. i didnt get to eat during my hunt earlier." he turned to James. "The magic you use to change never runs out. your body is worn out because it isnt used to the changes yet."

"I don't think you really understand what I'm feeling or talking about, James." Envi said bluntly at his words. When he glanced towards Kiara that just made her roll her eyes. It wasn't a surprise but that kid would be hopeless in this situation. When Edward started to feed off Kiara, the tension appeared again. When she heard Xagetta approached, she half jumped and shot a look towards him to check and make sure it was no enemy. She seemed to ease then."You are really that inlove with him, Xagetta?" Envi stated sarcastically, keeping a good eye on him but still glancing towards Kiara. The moment Edward got too hooked she'd step in.

((When I said all that he had available, I meant what you said about him only able to use a certain amount. Im trying to play this one by the book, not have him a master at shifting in an instant.))
James struggled to pull him self up, if only able to see Fang as he talked. "I know that, why do you think I dropped like a damn brick?" Even with his healing abilities, it was just like Fang had said. His body wasn't ready for so many shifts so fast. This was right about the time Envi had said something. "You know for some one who's life I saved you sure dont have much gratitude. Fine have it your way, Ill keep my nose in MY business, if you can do the same deal?" Without waiting for her answer he turned way from her, it was obvious they weren't seeing eye to eye.
Xagetta at the time was addressing Fang, and smiled when he heard about him becoming beta. "No kidding? Well, congrats on the promotion. I guess coming to you was the smart idea after all. But seriously, I wish you had said something before I left, next time Ill just bring a Cow instead." He laughed as he said that, but his laughter was cut short when Envi said that. "What the hell is that suppose to mean? In case you haven't noticed Envi, we're kind of on a short leash right now." He moved closer to Envi as he spoke. "I didnt want to say this back at the asylum, but the supernatural world as declared war on us. From what Chains told me, were the top dogs of this city, which means someone somewhere has a bone to pick with us." Ths time he turned so he could address everyone.
"Like it or not everyone, we got the shitty end of the stick. Metaphorically speaking, each and every one of us has a price on our heads, and every force of evil is waiting to collect on it. Tonight's little demonstration was only the tip of the iceberg. Before long, all of Heaven, Earth and Hell will be raining down on us. I dont know about you, but I would use what little time of peace we have to prepare for whats coming. For that reason alone, I dont want any one go off by themselves; especially those who have personal enemies. I say this because some one has already made a threat on James' life. We cant be too careful, Im sorry you got dragged into this kid, this wasn't your fight but it seems your going to take part in it." He spoke directly to James at that last part.
Though James body was still torn up, he had enough strength to watch Xagetta, especially when he spoke to him. James just smile and looked him square in the eye. "I wouldn't have it any other way. Im not the type of guy to stand back and watch good people get hurt, no matter how different they are. Hell I would have fought even if you hadn't said any thing." James could only sit there as every thing went on, but he made it clear that he wasn't afraid.
Xagetta smiled at that response. "A man after my own heart. Alright, Im going to get Grimm. If I know him hes probably at the bar. See you later." With that he took off.

During more of their conversations, Edward seemed to be pushing for more blood. It wasn't noticeable right away but soon you could tell that he was holding onto her wrist more tightly, trying to force more blood more quickly. Yet he did it still carefully. Showing that he couldn't stop but he was trying to. Even in his subconscious comatosed state.

"Don't get in my face Xagetta. Not now or ever do you have the permission to do that." Envi stated bluntly but from the change of tone it was softening. "In case you hadn't realized, we've always been like this. There's no war, but this will get worse over our lifespans. Something we can't help. And as for the threat on James' life. He put himself in that situation and guess what? James' 'threat' is dead. Ryu is dead." She turned to adress James then. "This isn't anything against you. But it's a prewarning of what you just got yourself into. Because after this you aren't going to be able to get out. It's too late for that." Now Envi lowered her gun. In a way it was sort of an apology and a sign that she wasn't about to figt. "I'm not sure all you know, and all you've experience but I'd make sure I was extra careful. About everything and everyone around here." With that said she glanced at Edward through the corner of her eyes and they widened. "Fang. He'll take to much." Envi said quietly to him.

James listened to Envi, even as she was ranting about Xagetta. The thing that stuck out most with him was the threat she mentioned. "I dont think that's what he was talking about. I remember one of the cursed saying he was going to kill me a while back, I think that's what he meant." When she addressed him he thought about what she said. He could only smile in response. "I know, but I would say from the look of it, I dont have much of a choice in the matter any way. Besides, I dont think I will ever find my family, I have been all over this country and I haven't found a single trace of them yet. You guys need me more then they do." He nodded when she put her gun away, he didnt know her that well but coming from Envi that was probably a sign of faith. One that he wasn't about to disappoint. "I think that's why Xagetta said not to go off alone. 2 sets of eyes are better then one. Any way I think its better if we all get some sleep, especially those of us who are still human." This referring to Sakura and Envi, but it was an offer for every one in general.

Kiara winced at first when Edward pulled down harder, but then seemed to feel nothing only focusing on his face as he began to drink. The conversations and argumentitive discussions seemed to blur for she was waiting intently on the moment Edward would regain consiousness. "Not unless we all seperated from one another. Then again it would sitll be there." She muttered almost inaudibly when Xagetta and Envi got into it. When Fang said to cut him off, Kiara glanced up from Edward a split second, not sure if he had enough. She didn't feel like he had taken too much. But before Envi got into it, it was probablly best for them. Reaching her other hand into Edward hair, she gently pulled his head backwards and removed her wrist from his fangs, leaning down to kiss him gently on the forehead.

There was a slight tighter grip when Kiara tried to pull the blood source away from him. But almost knowing himself, he allowed her wrist to be moved away and his head fell down back against the rock floor. His expression was somewhat painful but blank. Edward was still out cold and it looked like the blood really did nothing to his physical appearance.

Envi scowled at Edward before looking at James. "Because sleep is really going to come easily to any of us. You were there. You should understand. The only one who wasn't there was Fang, right?" She nearly glared at Fang when she said that bit with acid. There she walked at Kiara and barely touched her shoulder. "Why don't you eat something while you wait. If you hadn't noticed Xagetta brought you something." Envi said quietly giving a slight nod in the deer's direction.

Fang looked hurt. "what? I cant help it if i wasnt there. On the bright side, i was asleep so now im rested enough to stand guard while you all try and rest up."
