It generally shouldn't surprise anyone.
A lot of people can't really RP fight that well and even more people lack a knack for profile creation/balancing.
You couple that with a tourney that had non-existent profile grading, and you're going to stumble upon this sort of thing more than a few times.

I read every fight I can. I enjoy it, even if some are horrid. It is interesting, to me at least, to see how everyone operates on a mechanical level.

Honestly, most of the people around here don't have anything better to do than pick at a fight.
Except for Naota. That fool should be working. whee Cause he has a real job, and stuff.
Current events kinda become long-winded jokes here. Right now it's you, but as soon as something else happens, it'll be somebody else. And it's totally fair game for you to hop in on them. I've been the butt of jokes on several occasions, and while it's happening, it seems like it's never going to end. But it will-- promise.

Even someone like me has a spare moment or two where I don't have someone bleeding to death in my general vicinity, and I can take the time to indulge in reading RP fights and the silly arguments/lynch mobs that form because of them.
But, to be honest, I hope this turns out to be a lesson for everyone who feels like running a tournament in the future. Because the importance of making sure characters are balanced can't be stressed enough. It's pretty much paramount.
Like in our current example, even if OutlawD loses (and I'm pretty sure he is), Athena is a broken character as well and Vin isn't exactly logical as far as RP fighting goes. So whoever he fights next won't have much fun either.

The entire tournament is not all bad. Just a few first round fodder fights. I enjoy my fight.

Been around long enough to see or hear about it with pretty much everyone. A ton of the old head FFAers, O/Mers, everyone. They can talk about it and entertain themselves all they want.

Just Naota Even someone like me has a spare moment or two where I don't have someone bleeding to death in my general vicinity, and I can take the time to indulge in reading RP fights and the silly arguments/lynch mobs that form because of them. I'll more than likely win. Its not that Bojuka is broken at all, everything I did was in bounds and not a power play. Simple moves that sounded more complex than they were. A chain (that everyone has such an issue with) that can be broken and what not. Gauntlets that literally only null magic and can as well be melted, frozen, broken. (it was a coincidence that he actually used magic with her). And the velocity control which I only used to make his punches move fast or hit with more forceā¦.. The other whine fest was about the fact that I used his ability to block instead of his hands or what notā¦but I used a fair amount of AP, and there was time for him to see the attack coming. If it was a spur of the moment up close attack that he couldn't see a mile away it'd have went differently. They hissed about the chain being controlled, but just because none of them or specifically Vin for sure can't/didnt think outside the box enough to grab and try to cut or break it is his fault. He could have even grabbed it, paused/stopped his charge and pulled the chain, but instead he held it and waited til I used it in an attack to make up some BS and try to deal with it then. If you play smart and use your brain Bojuka is not that difficult to fight.

Example Saint fought Bishop and shot the chain at him. Bishop grabbed the chain and yanked it to pull Saint off balance or jar his arm. Saint released it from his gauntlet and the chain was goneā¦..DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUUUUN!

I hope you win just so I can face you.
I wanted to face Vinny to break Tres's mom.
But you...
You're something else entirely.

What the fact that my opponent wasn't smart enough to come up with the list of things to do to that wouldn't put himself in a dumb position? Or the fact that my character is beatable if you make the right choices fighting him? Or the fact that the items y'all complained about weren't as fantastical as you guys thought because you jumped to conclusions and wanted to have something to gripe about?
