Blaze was discourage by the fact that Rose would not allow Blaze to kill herself. That was her last bastion against possession.
This, of course, depressed her, and her destiny seemed to want her to be a vessel for the Shadow Queen.
Wiwi's comment about the Shadow Queen wasn't helping.
"...No, that would be me..." If Blaze couldn't kill herself, perhaps she should just give up...

"thank you, Blaze..." he said, flipping the Lapistia to where prying eyes wouldn't find it, and walking back to where everyone else was, quietly muttering "just a few more..." he said, happily ignoring mirrors comment.
