Nikoli pulls his cloak back around him. "Whatever..."
He heads back out the door. The truth was, heading out the next day had him scared to s**t. The target- the only person who could keep him on earth- lay ahead, but he didn't know if he'd survive. What really scared him was- did he even care?

Aislin had long since climbed back into the house and once she'd left Gab to go sleep on the couch as punishment for being rude, she went in search of Barick. She wanted to show him how much she loved him, once more before she went with this new man. "Barick? Love?"

Barick (who had just finished showering and was heading back upstairs with just a towel wrapped around his waist) heard Aislin's voice calling him. "I'm at the stairs." He told her, not really knowing where she was either.

"Well first you move the towel like this, and then like this," Core said, making the movements with his hands like he was wrapping his waist with a towel, "You're old enough to know that," he joked.

Aislin came trotting down the stairs, and threw herself into Barick's arms, burying her face in his shoulder.

Barick blushed as he caught her and held her. "What's up?" Barick asked.

"I'm going to leave tomorrow," Aislin said in a shaky voice, "I can't let these people come here anymore. I need to get the information and protect everyone else. So... I'm going tomorrow, but I don't want to just leave you."

Nikoli shadow-jumps back to the roof and takes out his notebook, jotting down everything he's done the last two days. He considers reading over his last few entries, but thinks better of it- there are some things he'd rather forget.
"Aislin... I wish you wouldn't come." He mutters, to no one. He lights his pipe and takes a long drag. "You remind me of someone..." He closes his notebook and pockets it. "Someone I used to know."

Barick held back his tears. "It's okay. We have to do what we have to do." Barick said and smiled. He hugged her close. "Looks like we'll have to post pone that picnic." Barick joked and chuckled a bit, but a few tears dripped down from his face. He hated the idea of Aislin leaving.

Aislin looked up at him, a tear escaping her mask like calm face. Stretching her neck a little she captured his lips, if only for a few moments. "You have me tonight though," She said as she pulled away from him, "And you will always have my heart."

"Then let us continue this upstairs," Aislin said after she'd forced her mouth from his, she still wanted to be attached to him, "I want to make sure your body remembers me for a very long time."

Nikoli watches the skies- the stars like so many punctures in a black sheet that covered the world. He thinks over the last few years- mostly about Ingrid. She'd long since gone to heaven- Nikoli had been sure of that. Really, it was the only reason he kept buying more time on earth. If he could make it to heaven, he could be with her again.
Nikoli thought, and chuckled. But he had been there before- and it didn't scare him
(Hey, keep it clean for the undergrads, kiddies.)

(Lets' keep it PG 13 okay? I'm usually okay with this, but if someone else isn't then I'm pretty strict with the PG 13 rule. Time skip much sooner than you normally do okay guys? Someone might be offended/disturbed)
