Waffle, now getting a good answer from Luciano, made her smirk disappear. She hugged him, then broke away and looked at the window hoping that nobody in the guest bedrooms was trying to listen.
"That's definitely a good reason, and because you shared your reason, I might as well share mine. Let me first remind you that my family only now consists of my two parents, and five attendants. Wanna have a guess as to what happened to everyone else? They weren't murdered in the same way your parents were, but it was still planned and carried out by vampires. Go on and guess."

Luciano thought of taking a guess, but nothing really came to mind- besides slow torture. "Tortured for information?"

Waffle could tell that Luciano didn't have a clue. She looked back at the window again and saw Colbur, so she lowered her voice.
"No, not at all. They would be hung for even mentioning the idea of it. It was much more indirect, but they still planned it. The rest of my family and attendants all died from a pneumonia outbreak that started with the vampires. A particular family of nobles, the Aramines, were one of the vampire families in the nobility. The mother of the family originally was going to marry Colbur, but when she found out that he was with someone else because I was already born, she had a raging fit. When some members of her family started getting sick, she eventually figured out a way to get revenge, or so she called it. Her daughter happened to be one of my friends at the time, and she had been told by her mum to play with me one day. She never looked sick herself, but that's because her skin was always pale, and she already had weak lungs to begin with! I ended up getting sick, and it already started to spread to everyone else. I'll spare the details, but almost everyone except my current family had died by the time the outbreak disappeared."
She paused, looked at the window again, and now that Colbur had left, she continued at her normal voice.
"And the coincidental thing was, my friend's name was Waffle too. Guess who got blamed and beaten and scarred for the whole mess? Me, while they got away with it. Now, I look at vampires and think about how they're just like street rats, but I don't do anything about it because my social status doesn't permit me to do anything about it, although you already know pretty well I can kill people by the tens and possibly hundreds, given that the time and place is right."

Luciano softly nodded and then he looked down at his feet, suddenly his loss didn't seem to matter because Waffle had lost so much more than he did. He gently shook his head, "I hate them all so much. Yes, there was a trial held," he began while he played with his Rosary ". . but nothing was ever done- there was no REAL justice served. The Vampire community only layed low for two weeks then they just started right back up. For years my Grandfather never let my family out of the Manor without proper protection."
Luciano looked at Waffle with a gentle gaze, he said softly, ". . . If I could. . I'd wipe them all out. . ."

Waffle's expression changed to a grim, morbid, yet hopeless smile.
"We would, could, but are told we shouldn't. It's borderline genocide, and I must admit that Mum doesn't even approve of me squishing spiders with my foot. He'd have a heart attack if he sees me out there killing people by the truckloads. Besides, I can continue to snub the vampires after I get my revenge if I leave a few alive. I know it's stooping low, but at least I know that we'll never be as low as the Aramines, nor the group that killed your parents."
She was still smiling, and at her next thought it turned into very sadistic one. She giggled and lowered her voice again.
"And as for Twi, before you get mad again, do you think even if he won't take the serum willingly, that we could possibly inject it in his sleep? There's a way to do anything except divide by zero, and converting Twi shouldn't be too much a problem. I even have an idea planned out right now."

Skotti looked at Twilight "It seems that this is what happens when an unstoppable force clashes with an immovable object".
"You won't go back to being only an elf and luciano will not give up on his values, so it is clear to me what should happen, you two must work this out one way or another." skotti sat at his desk.
"You have three options as I see it, you can either struggle against your own values and compromise, one of you can kill the other, or you can both die, but realize if you where to kill Luciano, I would kill you so your options are slim" said Skotti.

Waffle sighed. There was no trying to convince Luciano to do anything.
Y'know, you ARE pretty damn stubborn, but at the same time it's Twi's fault for bothering the hornet's nest.
"Makes you glad you have friends who support you as well as friends who don't pick sides, doesn't it? I don't think Twi has very many options at all."

Luciano grunted, "He shouldn't even be here. . he's not only pissing me off by being here, but he's also endangering ALL of us. His enemies will find him, and knowing Skotti he's going to have a soft spot and maybe let him stay a while anyway." Luciano sighed then he brushed some of his hair away from his face, he looked up at the HQ building and he said softly, "Even if his enemies find him, though,. . I'll make sure to lead them to Twi."

Waffle leaned back and looked up at the sky.
"I don't think Skotti would be dumb enough to keep him around if Twi posed a threat...Or at least I'd hope Skotti wouldn't. We'll see."

Pen kept her head down as she sat and pondered in Skotti's office. "You are also going to have prove to all of us that your first concern is for the gang." Her tone cold and very serious now gathering her thoughts.
"Are you willing to prove yourself and might even die in that process?" She was trying to focus on the big picture and passed what Twi's race.
It comes down to trust. WE need to know our charges and ourselves can be safe with him. Then maybe we all could get some more sleep...

"It's kinda out of our hands to begin with." Waffle replied.
She thought it'd be a good idea to change the subject, given that the current topic was too depressing.
"Anyways..." she said as she turned to Luciano "How do you think our two families would get along?"
