Adele blushed quite a bit at this. She was still looking at the bed, and couldn't seem to look up or speak. She didn't know what to say; nobody had ever said that to her.

Adele blushed even more, if that was possible. "I...I'll still protect you, Rue," she said, not knowing what else to say.

Rue petted her head for a few moments longer before falling into unconsciousness again. He needed to rest and heal.

Adele stayed by his side, watchful in case he needed anything. She was trying to think of any reason he would have had to say that he loved her, but she was coming up blank. She sighed quietly and returned to watching over him.

Rue's breathing slowed down as he rested. The blood loss left him in this state. He confessed to her because he thought he was going to die.

Adele noticed this. She became very upset and worried. She began using her magic to try and keep him alive. "Rue, don't leave me," she said. "You can't die, Rue...I love you too..."

A light came from Rue's chest, where the wound is, and started to heal him. With both of them focused on healing, the wound was repairing a lot faster.

Adele kept at healing him until the wound was almost all healed. Then, she started to feel lightheaded because she'd used so much magic. She managed to lay down before she nearly fainted.

Adele felt him hug her. She sighed in relief that he wasn't dead before falling asleep.

Even in the morning, Adele seemed weak. She wasn't awake yet. She'd used up most of her magic and it was taking a long time to regenerate. Until it did, she wouldn't be able to wake up.

Adele slowly woke up. Her head hurt and her skin was paler than normal. She sighed deeply, wishing everything would stop hurting.
