I like it with the bubbles. The avatar I had before with some of the mermaid stuff looked ugly though, because it was all white and so the green kind of ruined it. ._. So I changed into something a lot more random! mrgreen

Ozumou Who said US support was not needed in WW2? Back when teh US was isolationist and wanted to stay out of the whole Hitler thing for as long as possible. Both sides tried to get teh USA's support. Yeah... and now the modern Brits/Frenchies who learn about that war in school feel that the US and USSR took all the glory. Everywhere I look in on the subject online, at least one snot-nosed little non-American/non-Russian foreigner is proclaiming that "We could have won even without the US's support." Such smart-alecks need to have a talk with their grandparents about that. I'm sure they'd say otherwise while delivering a good smack to the side of the head. Anyway, are those bubbles one of the April items or something? I'm gonna get an envelope soon and I dunno where to look into the monthly items and junk...

Eccentric Iconoclast Kalathma I've never even heard of Darfur. sad
I don't watch television, get the newspaper, or listen to the radio [only classical music, but, it doesn't quite count as a news station.]
So.... What's the issue with Darfur? sweatdrop Look at the website. It's a huge genocide going on in Sudan. A genocide that is being pretty much completely ignored by America. For some reason, we're not intervening. Hundreds of people are being killed each day; I mentioned the statistics above. It's got to do with tribal relations, I think. It's really, really bad, and if our government were decent at all it would intervene. People are trying to take action, but it's very difficult when we get almost no media attention about it. It seems like a lost cause, and that's a terrible thing. Americans aren't ignoring it. I'd hate to sound harsh but the Sudanese aren't even that concerned with it. Darfur seems like a totally different country to them. Whenever the topic of the genocide is brought up most Sudanese just say, " Oh how sad I'll go pray for 'em..." and continue sipping their coffee or smoking their shisha. I know this because i've had a Sudanese friend for a while and he's heading back in about a month. He says it's sad about what's happening in Darfur but nobody really cares enough to do anything about it. So how can the rest of the world take Darfur seriously and try to do something when Sudanese aren't really bothering to do anything themselves? Why do Americans get the blame for it?

If everyone is ignoring a genocide, does that make it acceptable? rolleyes Just because nobody else is intervening doesn't mean we shouldn't!

Yes, it's a part of the mermaid thing. They're supposed to be normal see-through bubbles though. I rather like the mermaid set, the other ones not as much.
I'm allowing genocide, you're allowing genocide, eeeeveryone's allowing genocide, so it must be ok! *Sings and dances*
