I bought an Underland... and it's just like click, click, click. The story seems cool, but I want my item now.

Things got really ugly and stressful last night. This new computer decided making knocking noises and having the screen turn into a jump to lightspeed on acid was a good idea – it's running now, but the knocking is still there.
I got word from my father that on a scan for general abdominal stuff in preparation for a leg surgery, they found that my grandmother has uterine cancer. She's scheduled for a hysterectomy on the 27th and we'll know if it has spread then as the scans were inconclusive as to the breadth of it. Even though I am fairly estranged from her, it was a punch in the gut.
All the stress and anxiety almost landed me in the hospital myself. Last night I was so tied up in knots that I puked and burst some vessels. I had a wicked bloody nose and ringing in my ears that kept me awake in my panicked state until 5AM. Then when I got up, I puked again, and coupled with the prior night's bullshit, the ensuing rupture spilled forth way too much blood. I got dizzy after a few hours and fainted, though controlled so I was lucid long enough to collapse gently to the tile, mom found me in a puddle of blood in the bathroom. I am a bit dizzy and drained now, my heart is beating a little off because the pressure is iffy, but I have pulled out of much, much worse so I should be fine.
All that happening on top of my already being sick (as my avatar will attest).
On a more positive note, I got my glasses. They are so crystal clear, it is scary. And the new prescription is all high definition and s**t. I need to get used to them a bit more, but I think I just need to have the nose pads adjusted (or maybe replaced with those round, gel-like ones) as they are very painful.

Sammirah Teeshann Sammirah Teeshann i've always wanted to go ice skating. but my knees are so messed up now that i'd be afraid to even try. I have noisy knees too; fortunately they don't give me many physical problems. They just sound horrible. I'm hopeless at ice-skating, but mostly because I'm just way too scared to let go of the wall. mine aren't just noisy unfortunatly. they hurt. Gross. What happened to make them that way? not sure. either i have arthritis or they got messed up from my grave's disease.

Camwen morikoarina2 I need the help of someone that is a little code savvy. I'm afraid that's not me but maybe there's someone else around here that can help you out wink What do you need help with? @Exxos - good to know you are still among the living ((((hugs))) I'm so sorry about your grandmother. I hope the surgery goes well. I am pretty worried. My great grandmother (her mother), died of uterine cancer and was diagnosed at the same age - 90. In turn, my great, great grandmother also died of a form of cancer, but it was so long ago that it was back in a time that these things were not so adequately mentioned. When my mother had uterine cancer (uterus, cervix, a fallopian tube, and ovary), she just bounced back from it. But my paternal grandmother is an obese 90 year old, so I fear it is going to be extremely hard on her. And knowing her temperament, I could not show concern or try to connect as she'd just think I was a vulture circling the carcass. sad

FYI Our local internet has been messed up the last few days. It's just really spotty. Apparently the Telecom guy told my neighbour it's a problem with some fiberoptic wire; either some construction crew was digging and hit it or a dog chewed on it. neutral

I know all too well how much a horrible thing cancer is. 90 years old is a long hardy life and I wish her good luck a speedy recovery and many more years.
