Yeah, same here Teeshan...it's been snowing for about three days but it's been as light as rain. I think I'm going to try skating this year...I haven't gone in almost a decade.

We haven't had any snow but that's not unusual for this area. It's pretty rare and when it does snow it usually melts right away and just turns into sheets of ice. We have been having a thin layer of frost covering everything the last couple of mornings before the sun really comes out and melts it away.
This morning I did a little impromptu ice skating on my driveway when I was walking my daughter out to the bus stop. Our driveway is really steep so when I stepped out on it I started slipping. I don't know how I managed not to fall but I'm sure my arm flailing was amusing to my daughter (who decided to take a different route than me lol ).

my kids did some ice skating last year. we had no gutter and we had a sheet of ice on our front steps and a nice ice pond on the sidewalk at the bottom of the stairs. we had to leave and i told them to wait so i could put salt on the walk but apparantly they were too excited to listen to mom. they both hit the first stair and slid onto the 2nd, and when they hit the bottom went sliding into the snow. thank goodness they didn't fall backwards. i was actually pretty impressed they stayed up. scared me though.

ok so my son cracks me up. he wanted to know if i was throwing up the baby. when we first told him i was pregnant he wanted me to take the baby out and show him. i told him we had to wait for it to grow then it would come out. "then you die?" and he cried. he's only 3 so not sure how much to tell him about how the baby comes out. but he was very concerned i was throwing up the baby.
told him the baby just didn't like what mommy ate.so now when i throw up he says the baby is throwing up. goll i love kids. LOL.

Teeshann i've always wanted to go ice skating. but my knees are so messed up now that i'd be afraid to even try. I have noisy knees too; fortunately they don't give me many physical problems. They just sound horrible. I'm hopeless at ice-skating, but mostly because I'm just way too scared to let go of the wall.

Teeshann woohoo snow!!! it keeps snowing here but not sticking. if it's going to be this cold at least let there be snow. gaia_nitemareleft So far, our snow has stuck... and if the weather keeps like this, we'll get more snow in the end of the week! I love snow and the last two winters were just perfect. It was a unbelievable cold and snowy winter... just perfect for me, though a lot of people in here complained about it. xd I guess I fit in to this category: Weather effects in Finland and rest of the World: +15c (59F), Spanish wear caps, gloves and winter coats, Finns are sunbathing. +10c (50F), French desperately try to get their central heating on. Finns plant flowers. +5 (41F)c Italian cars won't start. Finns drive with convertibles. 0c (32F), Pure water freezes. Water in river Vantaa thickens a bit. -5c (23F), First people are found frozen in California. Finnish midsummer festival ends. -10c (14F), Scottish turn the heat on in their houses. Finns start to use long-sleeve shirts. -20c (-4F), Swedes stay indoors. Finns are having last barbeque before winter. -30c (-22F), Half of the Greek people have frozen to death. Finns start to dry their laundry indoors. -50c (-58F), Polar bears evacuate North Pole. Finnish army starts it's winter training. -70c (-94F), Siberian people are moving to Moscow. Finns are furious since the Koskenkorva booze can't be stored outdoors anymore. -273c, Absolute Zero. Finns admit that it is quite cold outside. -300c, Hell freezes over. Finland wins the football World Cup gaia_angelright

I was too old to be cute when my niece was born by the time I turned 12...though I told her when she was old enough to understand me, that her baby picture looked like an alien cuz her hair was stuck up alfalfa style and her face was all red...she told her mom on me...nothing happened though. xd
