*Covers him self in this white shield like aura and charges the boy*

*clutches his book and says a transportation spell that brings him across the room *

There is no dark lord at work here nut job. I am just a regular kid who happens to know a spell or two. Jeez I mean me and my team aren't even real heroes yet.

*the book is struck but doesn't seem to be harmed in anyway. Just to be sure Ethan flips through it*

Well that is neat. So I guess you won't be destroying this anytime soon. And I hat to break it to you but what you just did seems and awful lot like magic.

*the bolt hits him in the arm and he falls to the ground*

*the binding is broken when Ethan removes his hand from the ground and rises*

Glowing pigeons can not be a good sign.
