"Not always on a bed, you know."
A slight grin at that, before leaning over and giving his wife a kiss.
"Now finish your meal, you know you have to be a good girl right now. and Serino wouldn't be offended you know that he's not as comfortable as a regular bed no matter how smooth the ride is."

"I like predictable, predicable is soothing for me. And I find it fun, because then I know how to torment you all the more." Smirking at her as she continued to be childish. But a nod, "I was finishing up as you started messing around. Why? Are you about to drag me off somewhere?"
"Just ones that he thinks were left out. Like when we always go out. I say 'Kaelin and I are going to go out' and he tacks on, 'on a date'. That kind of thing, whatever strikes him. Nodding though, "Plenty of elves like butterflies, they just aren't native here. The elves and the butterflies that is. But you know, he's my brother, love him anyway."
"Starting again, offspring still in room." Yes this probably meant his tendency to loiter was going to come about and he would probably be found around his mother more.
"Suppose not always. I'll give you that." Sighing at him and taking back to her meal, intent on finishing off her plate because otherwise it was going to be a fight. "He's still comfortable in his own right."

"Which makes it fun for you and not so much for me." Shaking her head at him and then wrapping an arm around his waist. "Just back home. Our children are all gone and I made lunch."
Her eyebrow lifted and she turned to glance at him more fully, blinking. Did that mean that they were on a date all those times? "Why does he do a silly thing like that? Did he really think we were on a date? Were we on a date?" There was that silly love word again. "Do you love him like you love me?"

"Not arguing that point with you."
grins lightly at his youngest son.
"don't worry. not going to try that with you here. and besides, it probably wouldn't be safe for your mother right now anyway. sit down, relax some."

"Well you know me, I'm simple to please and to entertain." Resting his arm around her shoulders as she cuddles back up to him in familiar fashion. "That kind of lunch where I get to eat something that doesn't involved being cut up into pieces or picked apart to suit children tastes?" Sevilin was never going to like kid food, it was much too complicated in his opinion with it's little need to be perfect nuances.
"Mostly he says things he believes." Shrugging lightly, "I never said they were dates. You and me just kept each other company in the fray of everything else that was happening. A date involves less focus on other people and more focus on each other." Turning silvery eyes to her, "It's a different kind of love but still strong. More teasing involved, less kissing." Chuckling as that made sense in it's own way. His brother still demanded hugs after all.
Literally hopping over the back of a chair he plopped down into it in an odd crosslegged manner and yet he seemed perfectly comfortable. "Wow, first cinnamon, then movement, and now you're taking that away from her too." Blinking at his mother. "Going to be doing a lot of fletching, eh mom?"
"A lot of flectching indeed." What she usually did when she tried to keep herself occupied from such things or was forced to be bed bound in general. Somehow she thought she was going to have to find more to do off her feet and without too much effort.

Laughing at his very apt description, she nodded. "Yes. Not only do you not have to have your food cut up into tiny pieces, but it's steak made just the way you like it."
So, Dhairiss believed they were dating? She still wasn't sure where he'd get an idea like that but Malik had kind of alluded to the same thing. She just didn't understand all of it but was pretty sure it made some kind of sense to Malikhai. "So are you going to tell him that we love each other now?" Because dating didn't really compute with her. She was so relationship-retarded. Someone needed to explain all of these things to her before she became even more confused. "Do you love me like your parents love each other?"

"No she gets her cinnamon back, as much as she wants. but her movement is going to be hindered, and while I would love to indulge in the other activity, it's not good right now."

"Uh oh, that's not just grown up food...what are you after? You always have an ulterior motive when you go that route. What is it? Trying to buy something expensive again?"
"I suppose, if you don't mind." He wasn't going to go around bragging as that was their business and no one else's really. Crossing his arms though he gave it a second of thought, "Yeah, I love you more like they love each other. They can get pretty darn fluffy, I'll admit."
"I suppose I won't have to worry about that pregnant walking kind of funny thing this time." Shrugging lightly and pushing away a cleaned plate as she leaned back in her chair. Pulling a cinnamon stick from her pocket she took to nibbling on it.
"Hope you two aren't climbing the walls in a few weeks." Hell, he may not like to admit it but he knew how much his parents enjoyed each other on that level. But he gave a bright smile to his mother. "No worries mom, I'll keep you company. I need help on some school things anyway and I've been meaning to ask. That should keep you busy."

She merely gave him an innocent smile and gently squeezed his butt because it did amuse her so. "Come home and find out whether or not I have an ulterior motive."
"I never really thought of telling anyone before. I thought the lovers just told each other." This was all new and confusing and now she was even more perplexed. Fluffy? Yinn was kind of fluffy in some spaces and some of the other animals wandering this place seemed to have some fluff. What was Malikhai talking about? She frowned and tried to rationalize it through. She'd seen a few male humans about and they had bits of fuzz on their chests and in some other places as well...maybe Malik was half human? That made sense, then. But what did that have to do with love? Oh well, something to puzzle out at a later date. "I didn't know your father was only half." Or maybe it was Piper who was...hairy and human... Come to think of it, Kaelin couldn't ever remember a time when she'd seen the woman's ears. Hmm...

He rolled his eyes at her. "You're not hard to figure out Zahara." But he liked that about her, puzzling too much would only make him a very jumpy man. "Are you done with Piper and Malik then? Or at least till dinner when I'm sure you're going to be dumping something fortifying in her food."
"They do, but sometimes people ask and you have to decide if you want to tell them yes or no, or if you just want to keep it between each other." Though he blinked and they must have had a disconnect or something because she got that puzzling look. Probably not a good idea to use his usual descriptive words. "Only half what?"

"I know. I'm predictable." Scowling at that once more and then nodding. "Yes. I made her promise to eat three full meals a day, left some instructions with the servants in the kitchen, and Malik was sitting there so I'm pretty sure my instructions will be carried out." Which meant it was time to go home for them.
"Do we want to keep it between each other?" She wasn't sure she wanted word trickling down to her parents that she loved Malikhai. There was no telling what they might do with that sort of information. But she also didn't want to upset Malikhai and he might want to tell people. Better to know his opinion on it first. "Elven? Or is it your mother?" Nodding as she once again remembered she'd never seen Piper without the bandanna. "No, it's your mother, isn't it? I won't tell. Even if she is hairy."

"I love you for being predictable. Does that make you feel better?" Shaking his head and then giving a nod as she was already planning and he made a few more checks before they headed off home for lunch. Despite the fortress being convenient for said thing, it was habit that made them go all the way back home. "Wait...how did you manage to get rid of all of the kids? That's impossible."
"It's up to you. I'm fine either way." Though he stared at her as she tried to explain herself and he was sure they had had a disconnect, though it was turning out amusing. Staring for a few seconds still before he burst out into laughter and took a moment to calm himself down. "No no, that's not what I meant. I meant fluffy as in affectionate with each other and such. Kinda comes from being little and I would notice when they were getting involved with one another, their hair always seemed fluffy. From hands in it you know." Letting himself have another chuckle as he gave her a squeeze. "Both my parents are full elven. My mother does happen to be a double blooded elf though."

"Not if it means you wouldn't love me if I did something that wasn't predictable." Not that she was planning on it anyway, but still. Glancing up at him, she merely shrugged. "It wasn't planned if that's what you're getting at. Lyssie had plans which is normal. Kelligrin is up to something so I gave him errands to do and Kithaan wanted to go with him. Faate was the last to leave and the most mysterious of all. She said she had something to take care of but the light in her eyes leads me to believe she either had a date or was going to get one."
"Will your parents be alright if we told them?" She wasn't sure Piper was happy with the way their relationship was going and Malik was constantly hinting at one thing or another that just confused and perplexed Kaelin. She felt like everyone knew what was going on but her. His laugh made that frown deepen and that feeling of being out of the loop once again descended. His explanation only helped slightly. "So they were just doing what lovers do?" Which meant poking and teasing each other. And it was kind of embarrassing to know that she'd been that wrong. "And no excess hair, right?" Giving a nod to that information. 'Daughter of the Moon King and the Wood Queen. I met your grandparents, remember?" That word still felt funny to say, too, even though it was so many years later.

A slight raise of an eyebrow there at his youngest.
"for someone who doesn't want us to talk about it your sure want us to be involved. and what kind of school things?"
Yes, malik was well aware now that his children, primarily through his oldest, were targets in the public school. and he didn't like it one bit.
Although, he did have to admit the boy had a point. they didn't like being forced from being physically intimate with eachother if the mood descended. Kieran probably hadn't been far off calling them 'rabbits'. but they managed, didn't they, when she was with dhairiss...they could manage again.

"I'd love you all the same. When you're not predictable I usually have to save you and you become predictable once more." Opening the door and letting her walk in before him he tilted his head. "I still say it's too convenient. And since when does Faate date? I thought she was taking a break from menfolk as you and her so put it."
"They would be." His parents would probably be quite happy to know such things too. Nodding to her, "Yup, just doing what lovers do." Best to keep it simple, at least until Kaelin's understanding expanded, but another slight chuckle, "Right, no excess hair." Very very amusing. "Yeah, you met them but some people don't understand that technically they're not the same type of elves by lifestyle or blood."
"Just because I don't like to talk or hear about doesn't mean I'm ignorant to how happy you can make each other." And he liked seeing his parents happy, it was important to him that they were. Shrugging lightly, "Here and there school things. Mostly work subjects. And apparently, I'm a troublemaker." Or so he'd been told, not that he ever paid attention to such things being said.
"Your concern is appreciated dear." Shaking her head in slight amusement though she wouldn't deny that yes it was going to be a trial to abstain from some things. Always a hassle and a half when she was pregnant. But a blink at their youngest. "Troublemaker? You hardly do anything that's classified as troublesome."
