So yeah, as some of you know, I am joining in with the Canadian Armed Forces. I had my interview and medical exam yesterday morning/afternoon, and figured I would let ya's know how it went.
Now, instead of typin it all out, I'm just gonna copy and paste it from an email I sent that day.

Got down there for my stuff to be done. First off was my Medical. That went really good. Had to fill out a few forms and gover of some things, like the problems I had with my throat, and what not. Then I was put down to my boxers and the poking and proding began. All went good there though, I seem to be in really good shape. They did a hearing test and that was fine. Vision test, without my glasses I couldnt read anything, with my glasses I could read the bottom line without a problem. reflexs are great, breathing and all that stuff. My tattoos are fine, I was informed what I cannot get as well. The anarchy symbol, the swazi (nazi symbol), confederate flag... Those are all pretty obvious, lol. Heres what got me though. the celtic cross. Seems harmless, but apparently a group over in the Eastern countries uses it as a symbol for white power s**t. And heres what really got me. The Canadian Flag. If I want to get it done, it has to look likes it blowing in the wind. Apparently a group of people here in Canada use the flat Canadian flag (like it the flag was just laying perfectly flat on a table) as a symbol for their anarchy group. Crazy eh.
The only snag I had with the medical was with me pee test. Trace amounts of protien and blood showed up. The lady said its probably just a minor infection, so I have to go see me family doctor for that.
Other then that I just have to get my eyes tested to see if I need stronger glasses. Get a form filled out from my butt doctor, and have the appt., with my family doctor.

The interview went really good as well. It was pretty much just a standard interview. The only snag came when we got into the finicals. They ran a credit check, and my rogers account came into play. The amount owing read as in the 4,000$ range. yeah, I almost fainted. But he said all I would have to do is contact Rogers, make a deal with them (payment plan and what not) and get a form from them saying its being taken care of. Other then that, all went really good there.

Got home and the first thing I did was call Rogers.
They pulled up my account, and the amount owing was around 591.73, and no matter how far into the system they dug, they could not find anything else. They did provide me with the company name and number of the Credit Company that is handling the case.
So I called them, they pulled up my file, and the only amount they found was 632.97 (thats teh orginal amount owing plus intrest). And no matter how much they dug around, thats all they could find as well. So some kind of error was made somewhere. But they are going to send me a form with what I owe so I can pass it into the Base, and thats done.

After that I started callin all around town to get everything else set up.
The appt. with my family doctor is this Friday at 8:30 Am.
The forms for my butt doctor I can just drop off, they will fill out and call me when I can go get them.
The eye doctor.... Called my normal place, first appt. they had was Sept. 23rd.
Made a few more calls, ended up speaking with someone at the Bay Optical (Mayflower Mall). I explained the situation, and they guy said that he has ties with an Eye Doctor on St.Peters road, who usualy keeps slots open for him on fridays. So, he called there, then called me back.
My eye appt., is now this Friday at 3:45 Pm.

Why would we not have an army? Our Peace Keepr's Unit is known world wide
