"I've no idea..." She let her hands lower and clasp together as she slowly stepped forward. She wanted to hug him. Press close against him and never let him go. But she wouldn't let herself. Not yet. Her eyes lowered to the grass as she swallowed back her emotions, and at the sight of the notebook that had fallen from his lap, she let out a laugh.
"What's this?" She shifted fluidly to collect the cherryblossom laden book, and her lip caught between her teeth as she stood again, her fingers gently brushing over it's cover as she looked to him, another shift closer though she didn't offer it back yet.

Since he didn't like feeling confused on a good day, Jordyn's hands were close to being balled into nervous and anxious fists. Looking at her, she laughed that laugh that he always associated with her and all he wanted to do was latch her to him. To kiss her, and take his place with her again. She didn't want that though. He could tell.
"Don't laugh." He said it roughly without meaning to, but didn't offer a hand to take the book back. Allowing himself the moment to enjoy her touching what had been meant to be for her all along, he smiled as softly and subtly as he could. "It was meant for you," he whispered, "but I suppose it took awhile in transit." And who's fault was that, he asked himself bitterly.

"For me?" Her heart jumped and she near trembled as she lifted her eyes from the book to meet his. The tears that built were hard to blink back, and she shook her head as she gave in and shifted to the man, her arms wrapping snugly around him as she still held onto the book. "It's beautiful, Jordyn. Is...Is it still meant for me?" She lifted her head to look to him, her orbs glossed with the tears that fought for freedom. She tried to will him to kiss her rather than offer any words, her fight with her tears broken as each cheek was streaked.

Jordyn shook the instant she moved to him and he felt her entwine her arms about him. Damn, but was she confusing. Not knowing what else to do he shut his brain down and followed instinct. If it were meant to be, it would happen. Right? With a nod in response to her question, he wrapped his arms around her and held her to him. As she looked up at him, he could feel his stomach flop as the tears broke down her face. His wanted to do the same but they wouldn't.
True to his decision: Jordyn closed his eyes, wiped a tear away from Sakura's face, then placed his lips back on hers. Where they belonged.

The young woman's heart lept as his lips met hers. Her eyes fell closed and she shifted her arms from around his back to rest over his shoulders. It still felt so right, and she decided then that she wouldn't lose him again. Ever. She shifted to her toes as her head tipped into the kiss - He tasted just as she remembered, just as she loved. Her form trembled with a soft sob, and her lips left his only to offer the words she'd repeated a dozen times in her dreams. "I love you, Jordyn."

He enjoyed the kiss while it lasted, but when Sakura spoke his heart lurched and he had to break away from her. Stepping back and away from his Love, he calculated her and what to do next. "Then why did you leave?" He wasn't angry, or even sad anymore, that it'd had happened. He'd assumed it would happen, his "job" had always taken him away for long periods of time.
It was that there wasn't even any argument. He'd finally been able to break free to come home, and she simply hadn't been there. Jordyn had been and still was confused.

Her heart sunk when Jordyn shifted away from her again. Her lips pursed a moment and she shook her head as she let her thumbs gently rub against the cover of the book she still held. "I had no choice." She knew he deserved more of an explanation than that, but she wasn't sure where to start.

((I am actually going to go play Aion while I have the chance, but I'll be back in a few hours to respond again. <3 It should give me the chance to think about what I want to type.))

Jordyn sat back down, rested both elbows on his knees and took another drag of his cigarette. His hair was pulled back for once, so as he looked up at Sakura he could see all of her. It broke him to see her upset, even after all this time, but her answer just wasn't... It wasn't... "That's not good enough, Love."
A year ago, maybe even three months ago it would have been; but seeing her now. He wanted to know why. To be sure she wouldn't do it again. He needed assurances, and he wasn't completely convinced he'd get them.

"I know."
Tears streaked her cheeks and she swallowed hard in hopes to choke back some of her emotions before she stepped after him, sinking easily to her knees before him with little care about grasstains against her silk skirts. She let the book rest beside him, and brought her hands to gently touch against his arms. "But it is the truth...I had no choice. My grandfather pulled everybody - Me, my mother, my siblings...All of us were made to return to our home world because my mother was 'in danger' here..."
Her eyes fell closed as she let her head turn away, and her hands relucantly left his skin as she rested back so that her behind rest to her heels. Her teeth clenched slightly and for a moment, she feared that if she opened her eyes again he would be gone. And she wasn't sure she could handle that. Not after seeing him again. Being in his arms again. Tasting his lips again.

Sighing out more smoke, Jordyn put what was left of the death stick in his fingers out and relaxed against her touch. He didn't get it, he didn't think he ever would. He'd only been "tied down" by a family once, and his abjuration from that family was what had brought him to Sakura in the first place. And taken him away from her so much as well. Now that he thought about it, he could see the ironic tragedy of it. He hadn't noticed that she'd pulled herself away from him until that thought occured, so as he started to laugh uncontrollably he moved himself with her. It would be awkward, but he didn't care as long as he could feel her.

Was he...?
"Wh-why are you laughing?"
She let out a sob as she debated on pushing away from Jordyn and pressing closer to him, her need to be near him easily winning over as she let her head come to rest to his shoulder, her hands coming to cover her face as she tried to stop her tears.

"I am so sorry, Love." The laughter was dying down, but it was still there and even though he could tell it was upsetting Sakura he couldn't make it stop. Collapsing against her, he looked up at her with tears in his eyes as he struggled for control with the help of deep breathing. It was going to take a while, so he used the scent of the air and Sakura to help relax him.
Several long seconds later he was okay as he reached a hand up to touch her face. "I'd just never thought about how much I can, but can't, relate to you my love." They were so different but so much alike, it was no wonder he loved her.

Sakura wasn't sure what he meant, but as she rest there in the grass with him she almost didn't care. She kept herself pressed close to the man she still loved so deeply, taking all the comfort that she could in how he spoke 'love' instead of simply her name as she let her tears dry. After a moment of letting her voice strengthen again, she finally spoke. "In what ways can you not relate to me, love?"
