Hello! I'm a fellow clarinet player!!!
1. I've been playing clarinet for about... 6 years now.
2. I'm a freshman in Highschool
3. I've been in Marching Band for 2 years, same for pep band
4. I play Clarinet for Marching Band and Pep Band only, while I play Bass Clarinet for Concert...

crush the final rose Hello everyone I'm dropping in on your conversation, hope you don't mind. I've played clarinet for about 4 years ish... And i'm in marching band... I had lots of trouble......... I almost fell on my face backmarching! that was interesting.... Clarinet pwns Sax Hands down... No competition Period. ohmuhgawsh. back marching kills! but i've got muscular calves thanks to it. back sliding specifically is the worst. and our band does march offs during band camp, and it's so ridiculous when our director or field commanders (drum majors) take the tempo so fast and we're only allowed to do back slides. people mess up on purpose so their legs don't die.

beaniegurl_92 fma_midnighter hey,has anyone played a piece called Be Thou My Vision by Carl Strommen??? its dedicated to a Jon and Rihanna It was in one of our warm-up books last year. They playeed it so much in previous years that we only played it 4 or 5 times. Band is a period for us to. Jazz band is A period. no not the choral,its an actually song,it was composed last year. I'm not sure if it has been published yet or not I just want to see if it has

I'm trying to remember a lot of the good piecies that my wind ensemble played over the years. One of the most memorable for the clarinet had to be Schwanda the Bagpiper: Polka and Fugue. The fugue was amazing

High School freshman right here! =D - Loves on her Clarinet some more. -
Always 3rd chair! Managed to get into the city band somehow. <.< Wonder how that happened.

Hi! I've played clarinet for 7 years now!
It totally pwns all other instruments... just saying.
And this past year I marched bass clarinet....which honestly.... I really don't like.... ahem....
But I heart the clarinet and I would totally save it in case of fire (and my bassoon cause its brand new and not mine...) sweatdrop

I love the Clarinet! I have been playing Clarinet for...7 years now, and I still love it! (Even though I had to learn sax to play in our Jazz Band...I had a clarinet solo however!)
Here's a question for clarinet players...which brand reed to you use/recommend? I currently play Van Dorren, (sp.) and am wondering if there is a better type to play on that I should look into. Currently on reed strength I play on 4's, and am working towards 5's. Any recommendations?

Clarineter for 6 years =3 Junior in High school.

I use Vandorren as well, but as a 2 1/2. Personaly, I think Vandorren is the best out there, that's at least what my BD tells our players in our band. =3

I have been playing for about since I was in 3rd, 4th or 5th grade I can't remember. I just ad my band concert last week. It was awesome!!
