Darkerdemons How was your week, Calacie? emotion_hug emotion_hug Not the best one I ever had, really. Really quite angry, looks like after all this time my wrist problem is a lunate dislocation, although it hasn't been confirmed yet. But if it is, as they've waited so long it's unlikely I'll get full hand function back now. Angry because I told both the ED doctor and the hand therapist several times that it felt like I'd dislocated something and they both ignored it. I hope yours has been much better? Curling keeping you busy, and thesis ideas coming along?

It's like the time I kept telling the cardiologists that it felt like something was abnormal about my heart, but they thought I was over-reacting to a normal increase in heart rate due to exercise. Only when I showed up with a list of heart rate monitor recordings, some of which exceeded 220 beats/minute, did the cardiologist start taking me seriously. emotion_hug I really hope a correct diagnosis is confirmed soon and that your hand will still recover full function. Sending lots of positive vibes your way!

Calacie I hope yours has been much better? Curling keeping you busy, and thesis ideas coming along? lol Yes, curling is keeping me busy. I think I mentioned I'm paid to teach curling now? Somehow I managed to get talked into becoming a fifth player for another team. I really am a curlaholic, lol. ~.~ The family friend who was supposed to pass on his idea for using the Sport Psychology branch of a Physiotherapy Association to help me progress my thesis idea still hasn't gotten back to me, unfortunately. Looking at getting into an after-degree program at the university in either psychology or special populations. On top of refreshing my brain database, which is rather dusty now, I also get access to the literature and can put together a full thesis proposal instead of just a thesis idea. Then I've got some ammo to show up with when I find a professor with similar interests.

It particularly annoys me when you get the treatment they seem to reserve for females ... the pat on the head, there there you're just over reacting ... your hand doesn't hurt, it's just in your head. Your heart doesn't feel like it's exploding, you just overreact to something normal. biggrin It's ridiculous that you should have to bring your own recordings or I should have to have a temper tantrum to get an xray.

lol@curlaholic. What a good word, describes you well smile I knew you were teaching curling but not that it was a paid job, that's fabulous smile That's a good idea, even if it's a smaller certificate programme. Or, if like here you often have the option of a half taught/half research masters you could get some graduate papers squared away at the same time.

We use text books to learn the human body and make diagnoses, but in reality, no human body is perfectly text book.

Darkerdemons We use text books to learn the human body and make diagnoses, but in reality, no human body is perfectly text book. Absolutely true. Please send me some cold thoughts Dark. It's 6pm and 29 degrees and my family seem to think I should cook them some dinner. I think 29 degrees and cooking don't go together and they should perhaps have some icecream for dinner. They're not buying it rofl

I know you've been busy, Gen. Do you need/want any help with preparing for the Valentines event? I'm busy, but if I put my mind to it, I can help out more.

Planning to launch the event on the 7th, so if you could give managers the heads up to post their contests in their respective areas before then? This and that thread, should be okay to round everyone up. The event will run until the 20th.
