TIm held still, trying not to bonce to hard before turning around, looking at the necklace before back up at him. "Well I think tonight is a night for steak!" he exclaimed, taking the sleeve of his shirt and dragging him along to the freezer, letting Daren open the fridge. "Yep! We have steak!" and pulled out the package. "Oh, we can make a fruit sauce. Would you like fruit sauce on top of your steak?" and looked up from his crouched spot. "Shouldn't you be showering? The meat needs to defrost."

"You should try it! It's great!" And stood, giving another happy smile before laughing. "You don't smell but if you don't do it now you won't want to do it later, Daren." And chuckled, "Take your time. You have the scrub the smell out of your pores you were in that room for so long. And you can cook the steak! I'll set the table and make the sauce." Tim began gathering the ingredients, hearing Darn and nodding. "All right! Don't drown!" Re-locating his knife he began cutting, listening and hearing the shower water turn on. Another three minutes.

Tim set down the knife and peeked out, going back to the pictures and looking at his mother. "I'm sorry I'm not taking care of your son properly, Ms. Aomine." He said softly, "But he's trying. Please give him credit. He's trying very hard." He gave a small bow, rising back up and noticing the sheet hidden behind. "Hello?" He gently lifted it, looking at the familiar woman and a pang of guilt stabbed him, giving a pained smile at the picture. He didn't even know what to say to her aside from sorry...

He set it back where he found it and went back to the kitchen to make the sauce, pureeing the fruits after slicing them, leaving them in the blender. Off to set the table.

Tim heard the voice and laughed, setting down the final glass. "Meat!" He moved to the kitchen and stood beside the officer happily, feeling like an overexcited dog. What caught him though was the packaging of the meat, looking at it after Daren discareded it. "This isn't in either of our pay ranges." He pointed out. The first time he'd just been looking for meat so the brands didn't matter, pulling it out of the waste bin he read the label. "It sounds like it's sizzling really good." he commented, "Daren this is veal. And not just any veal. this is thirty bucks a pound." Even Tim wouldn't buy veal this expensive. Where on earth did Caesar even find this in this town? "I feel like a salad with gold flakes and wine from the Egyptian Gods would befit this veal."

"I do treat myself nice. Cufflinks." And held up his wrists, showing off the onyx and hematite, diagonal cut cufflinks. "Eight-five a pop. And Iroh still hasn't given me back all of my stuff. I don't doubt his men stole my cufflinks those together are enough for maybe a semester of college education, not including the ones Caesar gave me as gifts or for free." He sighed, pulling out the veggies to make a salad, finding the large bowl where it belonged. He moved so easily in this kitchen. He already knew where everything was.

"Expensive food is wasted money. Unless it's sea food because it's naturally expensive." he said, quickly chopping up tomatoes and cucumbers and adding them to the lettuce.

The ones that were being held were his favorite ones!

"Those smell good." Tim stopped his salad mixing to look over at the steaks, mouth salivating painfully quick. "Yea, all right. That really does look good, Daren. You get to cook all the meat from now on." But the salad was brought out and he served them both, sitting down. "Sorry I couldn't make a sauce for it. I'm sure there were bottles in the fridge, though." and took a bite. "Tastes good without it. What do you think? And thanks for the water."

The redhead chuckled, eating his salad plain, and the meal continued, soon grabbing his steak and pouring a generous amount of fruit sauce over it, agreeing with Daren. This had to be the first large meal he'd eaten in a while, wondering if Caesar had left them some magical dessert from the Olympian Gods. The food was good enough, hell it was delicious. he could probably eat veal the rest of his life if he bothered to spend the money.

"I don't think I can eat anymore." He groaned, pushing the now empty plate away from himself. "I want to see if we have dessert but I might just explode from it all." Timothy stood, taking his plate and offering his hand to take Daren's.

Tim followed after the small rejection of washing the dishes, pausing and looking as Daren commented on the dishwasher. "It looks fine to me. Maybe it's because you haven't seen it in a long time?" Tim suggested. "I don't think he'd buy you a whole new dishwasher, maybe he just replaced the stickers." Tim opened it and placed his dishes in. "Looks fine, this one even gets stuck when you pull it out like before." His attempt in pulling out the bottom rack quickly failed, the wheel for some ungodly reason stopping, the male having to pull it out gently for it to work. "I think it's all in your head."
