I never really spent too much time breeding, once I get my team set I stick with it until its major flaws are found out then I might work on a new one.

I've been on a quest for aeons now for about 100 Rare Candies just so I can legitimately test for IVs when breeding. xD

Hrm... I'm having interesting luck tonight.
Crammed a female Skarmory and a male Staravia in the day care. First egg that hatched was a female Skarmory with whirlwind. So that's good.
After digging through my box, the only thing I have that can learn pursuit and breed with Skarmory is Doduo. My Doduo is a female, so now I have to breed for a male before I can breed it with my new Skarmory. Not too good, it's taking longer than I had hoped.

And, yeah, Trae. I'm trying to get the Smogon-recommended team for beating the Battle Tower reliably for BP to get all the rare candies, the power items, and anything else I want. x3
Also, Rol... Can Doduo learn Whirlwind too? Because it'll need to if you want both Pursuit and Whirlwind on the Skarmory.

Actually, Rol. Your life would be easier if you just get a Skarmory with Pursuit from the Doduo, and teach the baby Skarmory TM05 Roar.
Edit: Thanks, Trae, but it's not really for keeping levels. I plan to get baby, use RCs to level 100, use a calculator. If the IVs are what I want, save. If not, reset, get new baby, and reuse RCs on new baby. Repeat until proper IVs.

No, it wouldn't, Rol. Egg moves are transferred from the male only. So, the male needs to have both egg moves to get it, unless both the male and the female has the move you want.
And, yeah, Skarmory can learn Roar.
