battosai matt Siefren battosai matt Siefren battosai matt Siefren Yeah He has stubble in the preview, but his body looks much skinnier than he did in RE4, that's what I was talking about. Makes him look more like he did in RE2 I would say. When I said Thrill and Magic, I meant that I don't think the story to the game is gonna be as good as the others, I mean, they really have to just revamp the story and and put someone else behind all that has happened since RE5 ended Wesker, and the arching story we've had since 96 is now concluded i guess you could say. Also it looks a lot like just a combination of BOW from the original games, and the question is why is that the case? they just seem like they threw everything into it, so it's going to be very chaotic, not that it shouldn't be chaotic, but you're not just gonna have one source from where the incident happened. As for the original directors and producers, I looked at the people working on the games, the original producers and directors that have been working on the RE franchise from the beginning have totally switched up, new people, means old story elements and feel will be lost. You have to go look at all who worked on past RE projects to see who's behind the games. As for the Marvel vs Capcom, I meant that the graphic layout they're using looks very similar to what they used in the Marvel vs Capcom 3 game. Yeah, I do believe that is Ashley, but if you look at it, I makes sense that she's back, because Leon was talking with the President in the beginning of the preview, and the president said that I've always considered you one of my closest friends, so I'm sure that was Ashley's father. And Matt, what is it with you and wanting a Sympathetic villain? being Sympathetic is the exact opposide of what a villain is. A Villain's objective is to be the antagonist in the game/movie/story ect, and they are always usually very selfish, and want things their way, or to bring forth a new order. Maybe if you'd explain better by what you mean by sympathetic concerning a villain? Now if you're talking about someone who accidentially caused something terrible to happen, they're not really a villain, they are a tragic character, only sympathetic for what they have done wrong. and that's not what a villain is. And I didn't exactly say that I wasn't going to give the game a chance, I just am disappointed that they decided to make another when 5 was suppose to be the last one, but with franchises, there will always be more, no avoiding that, so I guess I should have expected that. I remember reading an article that said that it'd be probably 4 to 8 years before they made another RE game, and that if they did, that it would more of a revamp and a reboot to the franchise, starting back at square one. but I see they let that go. Yeah, they certainly are, and I don't know why capcom is doing so much with RE, it's crazy, I was hoping that it would stop with Revelations since it's going to be a prequel to 5, but then this stuff with ORC came out. I gusse he does I have a hard time getting a good look at him since its was dark inmost of his scenes. I gusse I see what you mean. My gusse is they may want to try to wrap up any loose ends. Oh so different people are working it, huh? I didn't bother to check. I wonder how they will do. I've never played a Marvel v.s. CAPCOM game so I gusse I wouldn't know. Well yes I see the logic in that but I just thought she would be like Carlos or Billy. You know just dissapear never to return but you know that they are alive. I know I've gone on and on about wanting a sympathetic villian. Mybe IO have the defenition wrong, but a villian who is trying doing something good but not doing it in a... acceptable way. It just seems like all the villains are mostly unlikable, which is the point I gusse. It would seem like it would be nice to have a change every now and again. To be honest I'm haveing trouble trying to describe what I mean. Then agian mybe that wouldn't be a good idea for the serise. I didn't mean to make sound like you weren't its just that I've seen plenty of people do that with games. So long as that don't keep remakeing the first one again and agian I might be ok with that. Serouisly how many Resident Evil 1 remakes are there again? Where did you read that article? I hadn't heard anything about that. Aslo it shouldn't as a shock that they'll keep making more games, no offense, look at the Friday the 13th serise that was suppose to end like 3 times. I never saw any of the movies myself. Just read about them. To tell the truth I'm actually looking forward to ORC. Going to be werid killing the main characters though. Understandable lol. ^^ but yeah, He looks a lot smaller than he was in 4, but then again, he was a lot skinnier in Degeneration as well, so maybe they want to go with the look from the CGI film, I did enjoy that concept. I certainly hope they tie up the lose ends lol, be good if they let us know what happened to Rebecca, Billy, Carlos, and Ada, and of course the Alex Wesker character. Yeah, an entirely new team from what I saw. Well, when you get the chance go to youtube and watch one of the marvel vs capcom previews they have on there, and you'll see a very similar look to the games graphics. lol there's a lot of people who would wish that to be the case for Ashley lol. ^^ Well, was Wesker not that kind of character? I mean you remember the whole 'I'm not destroying the World, I'm Saving it!' speech he gave in 5 right? lol it's no problem. ^^ I'm always overly critical when it comes to new installments in video game series and comic book hero movies, so I'm just getting myself set for disappointment so I don't feel like it snuck up on me lol. But yeah, I'll have my full opinion on the game once I play it. We've got until november. I'm not such a fan of what they're going for in the ORC game, but I certainly do enjoy the way the game play is set up, it looks like it'll at least be fun, even if not cannon to the series. Though I do think that some of the tech they gave the guys in the game on the USS team is a bit over the time, I mean, a guy going invisible? for a 1998 period? that seems a bit unrealistic to me, I just wish they had establised that team like HUNK's unit. Ya I think I see it now. Ya he does look a bit different. I feel like there are alot of unwnsered questions but I can't think of what. Other then where are the currently missing characters. Thats intersting. Well might as well give them a shot. I've seen pictures of it in Game Informer but haven't noticed much of resemblence. I never did understand why people hated Ashely. Not like I never found her annoying but wow have I met alot of people who out right hated her. I don't know about that seemed like he wanted to rule the world instead of save it. Ya thats usally how I am with movies I lower my expections so even if its bad I might have still enjoyed it. Best way to enjoy a movie. Unrealistic? Well this is Resident Evil were talking about. So I can just barely let it slide because to be honest I've seen much weirder things in these games to question the logic of. What do you mean established like HUNK's team? I'm pretty sure only like mybe one other member of his team got a name. We'll eventually see how things pan out for it, Heck , the preview that is available now can certainly change within the amount of time from it's release to the release of the game, we've seen it happen with 5 and 4 before, how they totally switched stuff up from the initial preview lol. The only unanswered questions I can think of is have the BSAA intercepted all the Black Market BOW channels yet, and what has happened to the characters that just suddenly disappeared on us. I'm sure I can think of more, but I'd have to go through my archives and read over the story of every RE game again, which I have been doing lol. Yeah we'll see how things turn out with this team working on it. It's within the cenimatic segments within the game, the way the frame of the characters are painted so to speak, and the type of look and texture they gave the clothing and skin and hair of the characters, to me it looks a lot like how Marvel vs Capcom 3 did, though the RE6 preview has higher detail within the facial structures of the characters. It's really just how the colors are done, not really sure how to explain it, hit has that cartoon like feel about it like did MvsC3 did. I think the main reason was for the fact of having to protect her and she causing too many problems than she was worth lol. I mean after the 16th time of being captured by the darn los illuminados cult members, you'd think she'd fight back and actually stay behind you so you could protect her easier, I personally think Leon should have given her a weapon so she could have defended her self better. Doesn't make much since why he didn't give her a weapon in the first place at that lol. I don't know. Wesker just seemed to want to strive for perfection and the next evolutionary achievement. Now Excella on the other hand, she certainly wanted to rule over the world, she wanted to be like Wesker's Queen as how my Archives II book puts it. Yeah, I do it so i can be surprised in the end lol. It certainly was the case for when The Dark Knight came out, I doubed Heath Leadger's performance would be any good, compaired to Jack Nocholson, but was I blown away lol. Well Resident Evil Deals with Mutations, more pratical and probable mutations with genetics and what not, which is what gives it a feel for realism. But with psychic powers, we're on the verge of supernatural than Evolutionary naturality. Psychic abilities are more along the lines of Ghosts and Demons for me, something that belongs in Devil May Cry. As for what I meant about HUNK and his unit, I meant along the lines that they are a highly trained and effective unit, and use existing technologies to combat the BOWs, not like these guys like Spectre, who can go invisible like Snake from Metal Gear Solid lol. HUNK's unit was more believable and realistic compaired to the USS unit. Thats true. Although I think I'm glad that 4 and 5 came out the way they did. Theres also the unknown fate of the group Wesker was in. I see. Really? She never really caused any problems with me. Didn't she only get kidnapped like two or three times? Well asfar as we know she has no exp. with a gun so it might not have helped. However she does kill at least 2 or 3 cultists by burning them. I've been meaning to ask you usally say something about checking your archives. Did you print a bunch of stuff on Resident Evil out or have a website bookmarked? Ya alot of people didn't like that choice but it seemed like it worked out fine. Well thats how Devil May Cry was made if I remeber right. If people were nagging about about it being Las Plagas and not zombies I can't even imagine how mad they would be if the made Resident Evil more supernatural. Probably say they were ripping off Silent Hill. Give Resident Evil some credit as I actually understand whats happening in RE. Oh like that. Well not like we really knew much about HUNK's unit to begin with. As the most of them die within about 10 seconds. Yeah, I like 4 and 5 how they came out myself, not as scary as the first two games, but they certainly were fun, I especially enjoyed finally being able to aim my weapon lol. Do you mean the Wesker Children? or the H.F.C group that Wesker was apart of in Code Veronica? The main thing I mean with her getting captured the 16th time was when you had to deal with that darn elevating floor and all those cult members just came out of the freakin' woodwork and took her away from you lol, I hated that part in RE4 the most, Even more so than the Chainsaw people lol. But I don't know, in despirate situations people catch on quickly and learn how to use weapons, so I'm sure she'd at least know how to pull the trigger of a gun and at least aim in the general direction of the target lol. Oh when I speak about my Archives, I have two Resident Evil Archive books, that cover the entire story from zero to 5, the second volume came out like last year some time, but the original book came out back in 2005. The first Volume contains events from RE Zero to Code Veronica, though the gun survival and Outbreak files aren't covered in the book since those games arn't cannon. The second volume covers events from 4 to 5, and some about the Umbrella Chronicles and Darkside Chronicles, notably the events that happened after Code Veronica, with Operation Jahaviare with Leon and Krauser, and the Fall of Umbrella at the Hands of Wesker, and the starting factions of the BSAA, of course they weren't called that during those events in those games. I think that had a lot to do with the types of movies that Heath Ledger played in before hand, he was always the pretty boy so to speak. You do mean heath ledger right when you said people didn't like that choice? or did I miss something about RE lol. Yeah if it wasn't for the prototype demos for RE4 Devil May Cry may have never came into existance lol. ^^ lol true, but at least it was on a more realistic level instead of this stealth technology we're seeing with Spectre in the ORC game.

I was talking about who ever he was with in 4 but those to I gusse. Oh right that part. I just ran into this room, put Ashely in a corner and killed any enemy that came into the room although I had to turn around to make sure one didn't come from the hole in the ceiling. It wasn't to difficult for me. Well I'm not sure if I would chance it. No point in wasteing ammo. My first encounter with Salvador I thought oh thank guy now I can buy time in this house, then I heard the chainsaw... ya I wasen't happy about that. Bella sisters I hate them a lot. I mean one chainsaw is enough of a pain on the first playthrough but two? Thats over doing it. Ok. I heard that those had some errors in them. Like listing a character as dead despite being alive. I was talking about not liking him as the choice for the Joker. That or it would have come out later and Dante may not have looked like Leon. Well I doubt its the first time RE broke the bounds of realism.

I must say I don't seem convinced on Raccoon City. I believe a game needs to stand on it's single player unless it's expressly a multiplayer thing, such as Call of Duty.

Lol yeah, I always hated when I used the shot gun to try to blow it's head off and the shot completly missed and hit some where in the ceiling cause you had to angle it up to get that critacle hit. Would be nice if We could just shoot the zombie in the head and be done with it, though I guess if they did that it'd make it easier and wouldn't be as scary as it was when playing it in it's original state, maybe thats why they made the cronicle series lol. Ah ok that, yeah, I think that he was actually trying to get in with Tricell at that point, or the Pharmaceutical consortium, could have been either one of those. I would think so since Tricell showed up in RE5 If I did that, the darn cult members would be coming out of those side doors and getting her lol. lol the chainsaw people in 4 were the scariest things to come across to me in that game, took so much to kill them. Some people say crap like that about the first one, and I admit i've found some errors, though nothing story related, the errors are only with typos and the emblem of which game a particular item came out of, such as for one case there was an item, the silver ring i think, which was in Zero, that was wrongfully marked RE2, but Me knowing the item from the game, it wasn't much of a problem and I was able to tell what it was from. Then there was one entry about the small snakes that were in RE remake, where they didn't finish off the description of it, and left like a hanging sentence lol, but I think the last part is some where at the end of the book. I've had crap happen to me like that when working on papers before where I accidentally went up on a paragraph, and added something to it, only to find a part of the original paragrap down at the bottom of the paper. Ah ok, yeah, i figured as much, just didn't want to mistake RE talk about the Dark Knight lol. lol perhaps. But capcom has done strange stuff with a lot of their characters before, Leon has an alternate dimension twin brother, where as they can't get the story straight about one character from the Final Fight Series, Poison, where she was originally suppose to be female, but the US audience at the time thought it wrong to have a woman beat up in a game, so to try and get her past customs that way, they said "Oh well she's a transexual, that only made things worse, so then they removed her from the game completly and replaced her and her alternate character in the game with two guys insead, Capcom was afraid they'd get sued by stupid feminist activist groups if they kept the women in it, the main reason why they changed her up. But I go with the original intension where she was born a female and is a female, I really wish capcom would fix that lol. Yeah, no doubt with how that huge freakish thing came out of Saddler in the end of RE4, that was over the top in my opinion, but still biologically acceptable with rapid evolutionary adaptation...still wish they had not done it that way though, but I guess they thought a bigger final boss would be better lol.

Isn't ORC gonna have a single player option to it? I believe I heard it would, but you could have others join you, or do you mean having to work with an eintirly Computer ran team?

Siefren battosai matt Siefren battosai matt Siefren We'll eventually see how things pan out for it, Heck , the preview that is available now can certainly change within the amount of time from it's release to the release of the game, we've seen it happen with 5 and 4 before, how they totally switched stuff up from the initial preview lol. I remeber playing Archives and saying "Hey Chris you know what would be nice? If the zombie didn't need to be like 2 feet in front of you in order to shoot it in the head." I was talking about who ever he was with in 4 but those to I gusse. The orginal games never really scared me... mybe because I'm cynical. Mybe thats not the word I'm looking for. That makes sense. Soudns like you had a much harder time with that part then me. You know what would funny and awful at the same time in that game? Having to fight a chainsaw enemy with only your knife. You'd think they would proof read something that contins that much info on the serise. Alright. ...I'm sorry but are you feeling well? Your talking about Resident Evil Leon right? I have never heard an alternate dimension twin brother that he had. No offense you just sound a little crazy with that statement. And the other part is pretty funny now adays. With Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Super Smash Bros., multiply DBZ games, and so much more that I could go on for awhile. Saddler shocked you with his size? Not Salazar? He was like 3 times Saddlers size. Granted it didn't come out of his body but still.

It'd be too easy to just shoot the zombie in the head I figure they thought, and if that was the case, we wouldn't have been introduced to the crimson heads lol. The zombies wouldn't have the time to mutate into them if we took their heads off like that. The part that scared me the most, well more like shocked me was when the darn licker came bursting through the 2way mirror, I think that's actually listed as one of the scariest video game moments in time. It's the only explaination i can figure lol. Yeah it was a tough moment in the game, not to mention accidentally shooting Ashley multiple times when the darn cult members grabbed her lol. That would just be crazy, I had to deal with that enough in Code Veronica battle game with wesker and hunters, having to deal with the chainsaw maniac like that would have just been horrible lol. Perhaps they were in a hurry to get the darn thing out, I don't know why they messed up like they did lol. I meant as in Dante looking like Leon, Devil May Cry and Resident Evil are taking place in two different worlds, and with Dante look so similar to Leon, that's the reason I said alternate dimension twin brother lol. I didn't say shocked me, but was just a bit too much on the unrealistic side fro me lol, I mean this parasite that grew to that size within just a body like that, it was the most rapid evolutionary change that ever occured in RE I think, at least with G, he had time to evolve to the next level, and his was one stage at a time, getting bigger and bigger lol, but with Saddler, that was just 'Boom, in your Face!' kind of deal.

battosai matt The Darc Knight I must say I don't seem convinced on Raccoon City. I believe a game needs to stand on it's single player unless it's expressly a multiplayer thing, such as Call of Duty. I've some things on it and I'm gusseing there will be CPU allies. Everything I've heard on it has to do with 4 people. So have I. I'm just not interested in more special forces in raccoon city. too many teams already.

I don't know I think it would have been pretty cool if it was just shoot a zombie in the head and its dead. To me it doesn't seem like many games do that and it might actually be scarier because you might have trouble hiting them in the head and other shots would not do to much damage. I really wish they didn't add crimson heads. It just made the game more annoying. I'm sorry but when I kill something I'd perfer it to stay that way. I read that somewhere to. I can't remeber where though. I'll admit that kinda got me. More shocked then scared. I gusse thats what I get for playing Resident Evil 2 at 3 a.m. So far its the only explaination I got. lol. God tell me about it. I'd somehow hit her leg and I was never sure why. Look I know your getting kidnapped but can you be a bit more still? I tried to play as Wesker but unless that knife is a one-hit kill thing then forget it. Its not like in Mercenaries 3D In which you can take on a lot of oppents at once with a knife. More like impossible. Ya that could be it. Oh ok. Ya I know they look alike its just the way you said it was confusing. Ya I gusse. I still enjoy the fight. I actually did so much damage to him that he died before Ada decided it would be a good a idea to THROW a rocket launcher at me. Because you know what could possibly go wrong? Not like it'll miss fire. Come to think of it why almost every time you get one its thrown at you? What if it hit me?

battosai matt The Darc Knight battosai matt The Darc Knight I must say I don't seem convinced on Raccoon City. Although most of them died. I wonder just how many more times are we going to return to Racoon City. Not that I have a problem with it. I'd say two more at least.

I wonder why is the USS gathering Zombie samples if Umbrella made them in the first place?? That makes no sense...

battosai matt Siefren battosai matt Siefren battosai matt Siefren Yeah, I like 4 and 5 how they came out myself, not as scary as the first two games, but they certainly were fun, I especially enjoyed finally being able to aim my weapon lol. What if it hit me? lol I thought the crimsonheads added a bit more excitement to the game, I mean it was kind of dull going around in the original one back to places you had been before and no action coming out of those countless trips back and forth lol. Though on my second play through I was like man, I wish you'd just stay dead, and not be in the middle of the door way area i need to cross when coming back through lol. Yeah, about all that really makes sense if you ask me lol. lol yeah, I remember there were a couple of times that I would just kill her just to see what would happen, or how many shots she could take, and same for the merchant lol, i never saved the data when that happened though lol. Yeah, that knife was no one hit kill lol, about 10 slices to each zombie and about 15 to 20 for bigger BOWs. I got so mad when i got killed one time playing as him that i punched the ground and I fractured my hand, i don't remember if I told this story or not before, but yeah, i was so close to finally getting the linier launcher or whatever it was you could get out of the casino if you got that far that would help you through the game. I was never so angry at a game before in my life i don't think. lol oh well sorry about that lol. I don't remember it being possible to kill Saddler before the rocket launcher was dropped, then again I didn't really try to, i just held him off until i got the launcher so I could kill him.
