"How were we supposed to know your sex?" Mit asked a little annoyed at her, "You just a little fluff ball."
The chick chirped, "Mama know!"
Mit sighed with a growl, "Your going to be as annoying as Sky aren't you?"
"Name!" The little bird chirped, jumping slightly, "Name!"

The chick hopped, "Want name too, like golden sky bird!" As she said that name an image of Ambersky was pushed into their heads, "Want good name!"
Mit sighed, and leaned back to the point that he could set the fluffy ball on his chest and stare at her, "... Reddandilion?" The bird bit him on the nose, "AH!" He pulled her off with some trouble, "I'll take that as a no... Ruby... Topaz-zora... Topazdawn... Garnetdawn... Violet, which do you like?"

Mit scratched the little bird's body, "A garnet is a deep red color, Topaz is golden orange... What about Spinel, it's commonly mistaken for rubies..."

The chick shook herself, "Spin-spin!"
"Alrighty... Spineldawn..." Mit said.
"Not dawn, dawn in sky, name remind Mama of golden bird." She insisted.
Mit sighed, "Okay... Spinel.... Spinel... Spinelfeather, Spinelclaw... Spinelflower... Spinelflame?"

"I spin bird!" The chick chirped and hopped on Mit's chest. She sounded very happy.
Mit smiled slightly, and scooped her up to bury his face into her feathers, "A familiar who doesn't stay dead..."
"Don't cry Mama... Spin love you... Don't cry..." The bird cooed.

Mit pulled back and kissed her head, then reached back and patted Violet's hand. He managed to smile up at her, "I'm okay..."
