Sayrike::The Black Pearl Sayrike would have smiled as Jacob joined, but then she wouldn't have been able to whistle anymore. Instead, she tried to convey her smile through her eyes and a raised eyebrow. The dancing melody twisted high into the air, though it was quickly snatched away by the fervor of the wind. As Kyle's own face cracked into a grin and laughed, Sayrike had to break and laugh too. It was infectious, and she was one who tended to chortle easily. Luckily, she had nearly reached the end of the song, so the sang the last few lines or so before concluding and applauding Jacob, who had done what she never could and picked up the accompaniment. "Nice, Jacob! That was really good!" Turning to Kyle, she answered, "Boats are meant for singing! You have the open ocean with no condescending critics around, and you have your mates! What more could you want? It's a perfect formula for music. Sea shanties, jigs...there's a reason why the stereotype exists. At this point I would break into 'A Whale of a Tale,' but I don't think a lot of you have seen 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea." She caught herself before stressing that it was a classic Disney movie, just in case she spoiled something, and cast a momentary sidelong glance in Kyle's direction. Joe caught her eye instead, looking rather stone-faced and gazing intensely out into the ocean. He may have looked emotionless, but it was a depressing emotionless, and she hoped it wasn't her song that made him so. Sayrike quickly wracked her mind for something that others would know and wasn't Disney-related, a stab in the dark that might pull Joe out of his funk. She turned back to everyone else, grinning. "You guys should join in! It'll take your mind off of the storm. Here's one everyone should know:
Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? Caught in a landslide No escape from reality..."

Jacob ll The Black Pearl ll Caribbean Sea
Open your eyes. Look up to the skies and see I'm just a poor boy. I need no sympathy. Because I'm easy come, easy go, Little high, little low. Any way the wind blows. Doesn't really matter to me, to me!
Jacob replied to Sayrike's wonderful idea of singing Bohemian Rhapsody. He though it would be better to join in now while he still knew the lyrics, rather than later and make a fool of himself. He shifted his goggles down to his neck and smiled, finding a small bit of solace in the song. Nobody else on this boat seem anywhere near being musically talented.

[Jenny :: Caribbean Sea :: The Black Pearl]
Jenny felt a wave of memories washing over her; all her friends in the car with the song blasting out the window while they all sung along with exaggerated movements. Someone would end a stanza with a shrill curl of their voice and the whole car would laugh along. The mage smiled as Sayrike's song carried down. How odd it was that they came from different parts of Earth but they were all grounded together in similar things. Jenny turned around so that her back leaned against the railing instead as she began to sway her head to the song.
"Mama just killed a man, put a gun against his head, Pulled my trigger, now he's dead Mama, life has just begun But now I've gone and thrown it all away Mama, ooh... Didn't mean to make you cry If I'm not back again this time tomorrow Carry on, carry on as if nothing really matters"
Jenny added the next stanza, semi surprised that she opened her mouth to actually sing. She wasn't the most confident of people but singing was refreshing, and it did take her mind off of the storm if only for a little while. She liked the people that just joined their ragtag family, they were still unburdened by the worries of replicas and whatever unseen forces were still out there; Jenny smiled in the knowledge that their heartsongs were still cheerful a sea of uncertainty in which they traveled. So while she could, she was going to sing out her worries alongside them.

((I feel kinda bad for doing this, but it's in character for me DX))
[Joe: Caribbean Sea: Black Pearl]
The fighter didn't turn his head to those singing. Actually, he worked his magic, instead. Though, it was just to block out their singing, stilling the air around him to cease the vibration of air that sound was comprised of.
And he sat there, staring at the ocean, in silence with legs twined round the railing. Brooding, for there was no other word for it. He just wanted quiet, and so he made it for himself and only himself. He, however, didn't want a part of it. Not now, at least.
Silence....
Quiet....
It was nice.

[ Kyle ; Sora ; Zexion ; Kuja : The Caribbean : Black Pearl ]
Kyle turned to look at Anthony, only to cringe at the sight of the man puking his guts out. Kyle sort of felt the Buster-Blader's pain, though he'd gotten used to the constant movements of the sea. He went over and pat the older male on the shoulder. "Well, we don't actually get to choose where we go next, if we want to help out, that is," he explained. "But here's to hoping, right?"
However, still just within earshot of Joe, he immediately glanced back, a narrow-eyed confused look on his features as the bo-wielder when stone-cold, staring out at the ocean. The others began singing (something he faintly recognized, but wasn't all that sure of), but he merely kept his eyes on Joe... and beyond Joe, the storm.
The storm that was drawing ever-nearer.
"Guys, we need to stay near the middle, at the very least toward the helm," Kyle said, hoping his voice would carry to the others, a slight concern in his tone as his eyes locked with the black clouds that had now all but swallowed the blue sky. "This storm's going to get bad, and we don't need anyone going off the edge where we can't find them!"
"Help round them up- the Pearl's crew can handle the ship, we shouldn't be up here, we'd make things worse," he whispered to Anthony before walking over to Joe. He drew closer to Joe, realizing he hadn't heard him; called his name, over the sound of the now roaring wind. Still nothing. That's when he noticed a bit of the salt-water that splashed the bow seemed to do a quick twist around the male's head. He frowned.
Inhaling, his cheeks began to glow red, as if a light bulb had been turned on in his mouth; he quickly exhaled, and from his mouth came a steady stream of golden dust, which immediately got caught up in Joe's personal current, spreading all around him and likely obscuring his vision. "OIY."

[Joe: Caribbean Sea: Black Pearl]
The male frowned at the dust that seemed to swirl around in his own air. The hell was it? Looking around, though, easily made him notice Kyle frowning and mouthing something at him.
The wind blew away the dust(or attempted to, at least) and then came down, as Joe just stared at Kyle, a slightly slack-jawed "Huh?" coming out.

[ Seymour : Angel Grove : City Streets ]
Seymour, who had been out in the city streets with Alan, Amy, and Nicholas, also heard the strange baby's cry, which had piqued his curiosity, but it was quickly cut short by Alan's question, which in itself revealed... so much.
So it wasn't just suspicion. They knew. But something about what they knew was skewed; otherwise, they wouldn't be suspicious, they'd be simply accusatory. There was no telling how much they knew, but at the very least, they knew the core of his philosophy. It would be wise to assume, then, that they knew everything but his actual thoughts.
"In but a single word? Yes," he said, point blank, without a hint of hesitation; his tone, still lofty and interested, hadn't seemed fazed in the slightest. "But surely even you aren't so foolish to categorize in black and white, correct? After all, if that were truly all I believed, would you be standing here? Would any of our allies be standing where they are?"
"In my life, I have seen great pain, felt great pain. And yes, as I have died recently, I have discovered that in death, all of that pain... simply vanished. The things that were once so agonizing were now of such little consequence...," he continued, now glancing in Kyla's direction as she began to have a bit of a mental debate with herself. "But I have also seen and known that life can bring a great deal of joy and prosperity- once death has come upon you, that is it. You will never move forward. I can never age... nor can I bring children into the world. Whatever I had accomplished in life... is it."
"So yes, I do believe life will always have suffering, and I do believe death is the only method of escaping that suffering," he said, once again turning back to Alan, his cerulean eyes gleaming somewhat. "But do we not grow from our suffering? Are we not motivated by suffering to reach for the joy and prosperity that life has to offer?"
"We can talk more about it as we talk some sense into the pictomancer," he finished, sighing somewhat in disappointment as he heard Kyla's announcement to the people in the church; he was outside, sure, but he wasn't deaf, either. "She seems to think walking into the lair of a mind-controlling psychopath alone is wise. You Earthlings are such curious beings..."

[Alan :: Angel Grove :: City Streets]
"Well," Alan said, appearing to relax just a little, "I can say for certain that you're more or less nothing like how you appeared in the Chronicles." He was smiling slyly, and from the tone of his voice one might think to detect a joke of some sort that was funny only to him, despite that there was basically nothing funny in his words. Either he's a very, very good liar or he's telling the truth. Either way, his view is much more nuanced. Or he's at least aware of a much more neuanced view. If this is a charade, the skill of its execution implies that he is very, very dangerous on a level that FFX Seymour never was.
Alan turned to look at the church, their headquarters, and smiled a little more warmly as he added, "those are, in about as many words, my sentiments. Although, I have to ask . . . you say that your pain vanished upon your death, but you still move and speak and appear to think as a living person would. If you don't mind me asking, how is death, um, different for you, exactly?"
Unfortunately, about then their conversation was interrupted. Alan hadn't heard Kyla's announcement. He lacked the Maester's heightened senses, and honestly hadn't really been paying attention to anything but his heavy heartbeats and Seymour's words. At Seymour's explanation of Kyla's activities, Alan's smile twisted into an odd parody of itself as he moved to follow beside the Maester to confront Kyla.
"It's a product of our situation, I think. I assure you that none of us were nearly so reckless in the old world." That half-joking tone of voice was back, though this time the reason was a little more obvious.

Jacob ll Black Pearl ll Caribbean Sea
"Aye aye, Kyle." Jacob nodded and quickly backed away from the railing and leaped down the stairs below deck. As much as he wanted to stay on the deck, it wouldn't be safe their. And the rain would be positively frigid. Jacob stayed down there, sitting against the stairs waiting for the rest of the crazies to join him.
It's just one thing after another with these guys. Why can't we have ten minutes without darkness co-oh yeah. Strong hearts. I guess it is a double edged sword. The keyblade...Kyle...Joe...Jack...everyone here has a strong heart. I feel so darn useless.

[Dawn : Caribbean Sea : Black Pearl]
Dawn let out a startled scream as waves started to come onto the ship. Her fear growing all the more as the storm started to pick up. She wasn't paying attention to any of the shouts around her, all she knew was she was starting to cling the closest thing to her (Sora's arm). With the thunder and wind blowing, she felt it be rather stupid to let go of whatever she was holding.

[Dani :: Angel Grove :: Church] Dani sat in the main area trying to gain a little bit more energy. The fact that she was able to summon Leviathan without any knowledge beforehand really took a lot of magic out of her. Looking back at the battle, Dani felt like she had accomplished more then she every thought that she could do in a lifetime. She quietly started to trace things into the dirt in the church until she heard a voice shout into the church. When Dani figured out that it was Kyla’s voice that was talking, she stopped and listened intently. ‘Leviathan…’ Dani thought to the summon ‘There is a child crying and Kyla is going off alone. Would it be wise to follow her?’ ‘Usually a person going alone is stupid,’ Leviathan commented into her head, ‘Go after her to make sure that she is alright.’ Dani quickly got up and said to the rest of the main area “I will go and follow Kyla. She might need help.” She then quickly ran out of the main area and jumped to a rock right near Kyla. “I will come with you,” Dani offered to Kyla, “It’s better that you travel with a person then alone. Trust me. I was stuck in this city alone for a few days.” Dani then put her hoodie up in order to conceal her face a little bit better to get ready for travel.

{James : Caribbean Sea : The Black Pearl}
James had turned his attention away from Sora and Dawn, his attention focused on the storm that was ever looming closer. The waves beginning to rise and crashing over the sides of the ship. His attention turning to Kyle as he called out to all of them to get away from the railing.
"Everyone! Gather together, away from the railing!" He yelled, making sure his voice projected so that if anyone couldn't hear Kyle's yell, there was a good chance they heard his.
He moved back toward the door that lead below the deck, his hexagun was now in hand, he accredited it to reflexes in the sight of danger. He knew storms on the open seas could be vicious, but something about the suddenness of it's intensity put him on guard.

[Anthony ~.~ Caribbean Sea ~.~ Black Pearl]
Anthony nodded at Kyle's request, a sudden look of seriousness replacing the sickly expression. This might be what he needed to get his mind off his sea sickness. He notified the group closest to him, the ones singing Bohemian Rhapsody, to go below deck after apologizing for interrupting them. If they weren't about to be mauled by some storm, he would've been more than happy to join them, but right now the safety of the group was his prime concern.
Once he had finished informing that group, Anthony approach Dawn and Sora just as James walked away. "Hey guys," he began, waving. "I'm sure y'all have noticed the imminent storm heading our way which is likely to be responsible for our inevitable doom if we do not head below deck before it's completely upon us. So... yeah. That's it!"
Whomever Anthony spoke to on deck received the same message. Once he had spoken to everyone, he too went below. Once below deck, he once again started feeling ill. He began to feel for the points on his arm Noelle had told him to press if he were to ever feel sick again. "Was it 2 or 3 fingers from my wrist? ...maybe it was four... Maybe they were 2 or 3 or 4 Noelle sized fingers. My fingers are a lot bigger than her fingers... Er..."
Anthony swayed as he walked through the corridors of the ship in search for Noelle. "Noelle!" he called out, hoping she'd respond. After searching for a short time, Anthony found the girl resting on a hammock in one of the rooms. Not wanting to disturb her, he tip toed into the room and rest on a hammock on the other side of the room, figuring a little nap would help him with his sea sickness.

{Kyle : Angel Grove: City}
As the hours passed and only Heartless and Tengu Warriors attacked them, Kyle had started to wander. Not very far, just around the destroyed city blocks. Something that he could have saved if he was stronger. He needed to get stronger. Cory only lost because Alan was fighting with me and he destroyed Cory with magic. I only stood up and endured longer. The battle at Beasts Castle...I was pretty much useless, as I was for the battles in the throne room.... And here I couldn't stop Elleon from destroying a few blocks of the city. Years of work, gone in just a few minutes.
Walking to a destroyed building, he laid his hand on it and tried to manipulate it, to bring it to a different shape. Nothing. No matter what he tried, he simply couldn't get a hold of it. It was much to strong. This was so much simpler on Avatar. Why can't I just sense and manipulate the earth in this?" He asked himself, before moving back towards the building they'd taken over.
So Axel left hours ago and we haven't heard from him since. We did hear from Alpha though, and Ooze coming through and destroying the base is pretty much cannon to the movie. I'm curious about the Ninjetti world. I mean, I was told that every world had been combined into one, but if that world had escaped notice, maybe others have too? Or maybe it had some uber-power protecting it. Then again, Disney had the Cornerstone of Light and it still got merged. Whatever. Food for thought. Moving on...huh...that's pretty much it. Otherwise we've just been sitting here, recovering and fighting. Why haven't we done anything yet?
With that train of thought ending, he found himself with the group again, not entirely sure what was going on. Something about recklessness in the old world. Old world meaning Earth. So who was about to do something stupid/reckless now? "So...who is about to do something stupid and/or reckless?" He asked aloud to the Alan and Seymour, as he had ended up closest to them.

{Bobbi .:. Angel Grove .:. City}
At first it was fine. She was getting kind of used to vertigo after being thrown around the sewers thanks to Oogie Boogie. Sure, the fear of falling was kicking in pretty hard, but this really wasn't so bad.
Until she inhaled.
As the bluish smoke dissipated, Bobbi was coughing hard enough to lose a few lungs. Normally smoke wouldn't affect her thanks to her parents, but holy snot, what did Merlin use in that crap? It burned!
Waving a last faint wisp of the smoke away from her eyes, Bobbi stared around at a modern city. For a moment her heart skipped, thinking maybe, maybe there had been a miscalculation in trajectory and Merlin had somehow managed to rip a hole in the space time continuum and accidentally drop her back home.
Well, she thought as she looked around, disappointed that the skyline wasn't at all familiar, but did look perfect for giant monsters stomping around destroying things. Beggars can't be choosers. Must be the right place, though. Where's Godzilla?
Off a little ways, she spotted a familiar figure with long brown hair and a flowing violet-grey cloak.
"Ky-Kyla!" Bobbi called out, her voice catching a little as one last cough decided she wasn't allowed to talk yet. She stood as tall as she could and waved at the Pictomancer, hoping to grab her attention. "God am I glad to see you!"
