I don't mean to piss off all the Kyo fans or anything, but I just wanna ask you guys how come you love Kyo so much more than all the other members? I mean to be honest, he's only the vocalist, and sometimes I have doubts in the listenability (<- made up word) of his voice. he's probably the least talented of them all cuz all he really does is scream and write words, he doesn't really play an instrument, and he doesn't really write music... but yet for some reason ppl love him so much more than everyone else... I just don't get it

I just don't get it I don't love Kyo more than the other members of Dir en grey, but I do love Kyo. His lyrical talent is really amazing, and what music he has written is great. You don't have to write music to be an amazingly talented person, or to be respected. I personally respect Kyo -very- much. Writing lyrics like Kyo does is no small talent; there are very few people that can write so well and with so much emotion, I think. And Kyo doesn't just scream, he sings - and when he does, it's with so much emotion, it's amazing. When Kyo does scream in Dir en grey's music, it's not just pointless screaming, it's part of the song, and an important part of the song. Kyo's vocal talent is amazing, like I've said - have you seen any of Dir en grey's lives? I think it's really amazing that he can put so much into a performance, and even if it's not on a live, the songs Dir en grey have recorded and released on CDs show that same vocal talent in Kyo. ^^

I don't think lyrics are really as hard to write as music (trust me, I've done both), with lyrics, all you have to have is the right motivation, and you could write a masterpiece, so it doesn't really require special talent to do lyrics.... and If I do say so myself, Kyo is not a singer by a long shot... He's a screamer/funny choking noise maker person.. all the songs where he tries to sing (like Aint afraid to die), his voice is obnoxious and annoying... I had to get USED to it to be able to stand it. and yes I've seen lives, I have the Macabre and 5Ugly Kingdom dvds. I didn't say he doesn't really get into the songs, because he does, but sometimes -like when he tries singing- his voice is too obnoxious for words. and although I do think his voice sounds pertty much the same live as on the cds, songs like Taiyo no ao, can just become annoying cuz he's trying to sing, and he should stick to what he knows.

I don't like any members more then the other, but I do tend to fall on Kaoru's side more because I see him as an inspriation to play guitar. He got me more into guitar then I already was before I saw him. ((Yes, I loved music at a very early age. 3nodding )) I'm sure I could pick who I LIKE more then the others once I get to meet them. I wouldn't say love is a good word to use, either..

I wouldn't say love is a good word to use, either.. I like them all probably about the same cuz they all have their different qualities about then that make them awsome, so you can't really compare them 3nodding I started getting into guitar recently, first I'm learning on the acoustic, learning classical and such (although I like to blasy my ears off with an occasional DeG like with the distorted electric xd )... but one of my cousins is liek a hardcore, 30 min solo, non stop noise type guitar player, and I'm gonna learn about rock form him 3nodding
