Rue would wake up hours later.

Adele sat by Rue and waited for him to wake. She wouldn't leave until he did.

((I've been watching too much Fate/Stay night! I can tell Adele's turning into Saber and I originally typed Adele as Saber and Rue as Shiro XD))

Rue slowly opened his eyes a few hours later and looked around. Everything was still a bit hazy but he was feeling better.

"Hey," Adele said quietly. "How are you feeling?"

"A little better," Rue said, just as quietly, "Are you okay?"  

[marixe alcyone]

"I just got a few scratches," Adele said. She smiled a little. "I'm fine. Does it hurt anywhere?"

((Okay, I just hit enter when I reached the end of the line so it wouldn't wrap the text. I think I've officially spent too long programming))

"No," Rue lied and smiled.

Adele knew he had to be in pain from his wound. She looked a little hurt that he would lie to her. "...don't lie, Rue," she said. "I want to help you. You don't have to suffer."

"You did a great job Adele. You defeated them and chased them away," Rue said.

"Don't change the topic, Rue," Adele said. She now seemed angry that he still wouldn't tell her what was wrong. "Where does it hurt?" She wasn't looking at him anymore; she was looking down at the bed.

Rue petted her hair weakly, "Don't be mad Adele...You have done so much. I think I can heal by myself now," He said.

Adele bowed her head a little. "I don't want you to be in pain, Rue," she said. "I wish I could have done more...I shouldn't have let you get hurt at all, Rue. I should be fighting with you, not using you as a shield."

"I'm your summon Adele..." Rue said. He's supposed to protect her.

"I can still fight, Rue," Adele said. "You shouldn't have to risk your life for me without me doing the same for you."

Rue chuckled painfully, "I love you..."
