hey all.

writing to you from Maryville Mo. I had the freakiest thing happen to me last week.

So I'm traveling from Califorinia to Nebraska with a family friend for her school reuion(?spell?), and she's been visting family and doing geneology research. well she has family in Denver and Colorado Springs Colorado.... and we past by Hoshi's hometown. eek When I was figuring out a place for Hoshi to live, I was rather random about it.... but it was kinda creepy to pass it...

another creepy incident.... yesterday I was looking through one of the albums that Fay (the family friend) has, and there was this picture in there that looked almost exactly like me... but it was a really old pic... like from 1890-1910ish. I'll post it in my art thread in the lounge when I get back to Cali.

I think I might post in the Rp thread too... But I have a lot of catching up to do sweatdrop ..... I'm having sooo much fun, aside from the two freak incdents. 3nodding

Golden, I'm reading it currently. I have issues 1-4... don't know if 5 is out yet.

It starts off with Iron Man leading Mr. Fantastic and somebody important who I forget now into a room talkinga bout the Skrulls... and there is a dead Elektra skrull on the table... he tells them that skrulls have been impresonating heroes and nobody has been able to detect it. He wants them to figure out how. Mr. Fantastic does figure it out but he's shot with some kind of gun tha tmakes him unstable by the other guy.. and gah, I'm kicking myself because I can't remember who he is.

Anywho.. other people are skrulls like Jarvis, the avengers butler, who puts a virus in things like the avengers tower, iron man's armor, etc. Invisible Woman blows up the F4 headquarters.

There is a downed skrull jet in the savage land and off it pops up a bunch of heroes wearing their 70s/80s unfiroms including hawkeye, phoenix, emma frost, beast, wolverine, captain america, etc. They say they are the real heroes and they were kidnapped by the skrulls a long time ago. BUT the team of avengers who find them don't believe that's the case and they all start battling. I got confused around here at who was who... but you learn from this that on the ship: Morningglory is real and has returned, she was confirmed by Hawkeye? that she is legit. Phoenix, Beast and Spiderman off the ship were fakes. Spider Woman is the Skrull Queen and had infiltrated the Avengers. She is trying to convince Iron Man that he's a brain washed Skrull... Iron Man is also in bad shape because of the virus.

There is a huge battle in New York where all kinds of lesser heroes are trying to fight the Skrull attacking the City. In the end, Nick Fury and his team of Commandos save the day, I think.


I don't know who all the heroes are, Golden, so you might want to Wiki the issues and read the summaries. They're pretty well defined usually. It's is VERY well done, though.

To answer your question, Dune, my all time favorite Marvel heros are X-Men because that's what I've always been partial to reading... Shadowcat, Colossus, Wolverine, Jean Grey (before she was resurrected 9 billion times)... but outside of the X-Men.... Ms. Marvel probably takes the cake for me.

I can't wait for X-Men issue 500... my comic shipped today so I should get them soon.

Anybody into Angle & Buffy? Those comic series are REALLY good. They're cannon tales that are the seasons Joss wanted to write and the shows were done.

Yup luckily most of my rare and collectible stuff was still there. >.> But the beastered did sell quite a few of my letter and pretty much all the clothes I bought from the shops. evil If I could find those people in real life.... doing that kind of stuff to people... lets just say it would involve much violence ><

But at least I finally have them back biggrin and I finally have my guild back too!

We don't, but they have to be sure they get it all, though... from their perspective they don't know if you're a mule from the person who got the dirty gold. Unfortunately, that's how sites like this HAVE to be to stop things dead.

Golden: The guy LJ is talking about is Hank Pym aka Yellowjacket, Giant Man, Ant Man, etc.

Think the thing that really throws me for a loop is that the Skrulls have had a hand in EVERYTHING for the past God knows how many years. I mean, this is dating back to the Secret Wars way back in the 80's and maybe even beyond that!
