Well, I'm up early again today...
yesterday I went to the New Orleans Museum of Art (took lots of pics!) and today I am headed to the Audubon Zoo and Central Park for a picnic.

Well, they keep talking about cold weather coming, but so far, we're still in the 70's (for the high.) And I'm not complaining!
The Zoo was great. It was slightly warm with a crazy wind. And all the animals were out. My fav, the big cats were out sunning. One of the lions was sleeping on its back with its tummy up~ so cute!~ Here, kitty, kitty! And the otters were talking to me!~ so cool.
There was alot of little children at the Audubon Zoo, too, due to some Mardi Gras Camp. But then there were others that looked like they were stragglers from Mardi Gras, with blue hair and such, and even hippies with dreads. Such a looking strange crowd. I seemed like the orangutans and gorillas were just as intrigued looking at the people as we were watching them! blaugh

Has anyone one else visited a Museum, Aquarium, or Zoo recently?
I have a membership that gets me into any of the three here for a year. They need the monetary support, and I just love going, so it's a win-win.
I guess I won't be seeing anyone online today... supposed to be getting some crawfish to boil if the rain holds off; we'll get them already boiled if we have to. I just hope they have some, cuz of Ash Wednesday and Lent, all the good Catholics have given up meat til Easter. Did anyone give up anything else for Lent?
Well, anyway... my schedule should get back to some sort of normal next week. The party's officially over! And I'm kinda glad. I'm tired! xd And I miss seeing all of you! I hope everyone is doing well? I see some are missing... I'm coming to check on you soon, so beat me to it and holla'!!!

If you had to give something up for Lent, what would it be?
Could you give up something seemingly simple for over a month? Many religions have periods of fasting or similar exercises in self control/restraint. But in the land of plenty, could you over a month without... sugar? your cell phone? what?
