SHe smiled and laid down on the bed, gently pulling him with her. She was feeling really tired and wanted to rest. Pulling the blankets over them she cuddled close and rested her head on his chest. "Tell me a story now."

Ryu smiles as he cuddles up with Lyoko. "Ok, would you like to hear the story of why fire flies dance over rivers?"

Ryu smiles and says "Long ago, when dragons were still a young race. Because there were deities for just about everything in life, gods and goddesses roamed the world as humans now do. Once every year though, they would all be invited to to a celestial ball held by the High god and goddess. One year though, a young goddess had lost her invitation. And try as she might to convince the guards she was a goddess they would not let her in."

Just the sound of his voice helped her relax. She always loved to hear him speak, even just one or two words and everything was all right.

"The young goddess, upset and distrot, returned home and began to literally cry a river. Some stars that were lighting up the ball saw the saddened goddess and flew down to her asking 'why are you sad, how come you're not at the ball' and 'would you like some company." "The goddess looked to the stars and explained what happened. The stars that came to the goddess felt sorry for her and so they decided to stay with her and have their own ball. As the goddess and stars danced, the deity that commanded the stars demanded they return to the ball. When the stars refused, the celestial deity condemned those stars to stay earth bound forever." "When the celectial deity left the one goddess felt sorry that they could never return to the heavens. So in return for their kindness, she gave them the ability to fly, at least enough to dance over rivers once more. And so were born the fireflies."

"day and night eh. Well there are many stories about that. Once of my favorites is that there were these two giant brothes. They lived on the surface and loved to play tag with one another. They would get to playing it so much that they would chase eachother for long periods of time." "Because they were so big, that as they ran the world would begin to turn, for you see, before them, the world didn't turn, so it was always dark on one side, and light on the other. As they caused the world to turn people of the dark side say the light, and people of the light, would slip to darkness. It was a confusing time at first, but then people began to see the positives of this continous change, and after much debate, came up with night and day." "The brothers though also didn't pay attention to were they stepped and so whole towns were ruined. The people knew they didn't mean to cause the damage, but couldn't let it continue. So they tricked the giants into a cave that lead to the center of the world, and then sealed the cave. To this day, they continue their game. And when one catches the other in tackle, that's what causes earthquakes."

"Sweety, when you're a vampire stories loose all meaning. BUt I'll try to think of something..." She sighed as she thought.
"The sun and the moon were very much in love. They wanted to have a child together adn so the earth came to be. They were both happy but after a time, saw that their child was nothing more than a small ball of fire. They wanted to help her grow more. So they combined powers and covered her in a hard shell. But they too saw this as not right, with the sun hitting the shell, though, grass grew and earth was made.
More time went by and the loveley green wasn't enough. The earth cried because her parents were upset adn her tears filled the hills and vallies with water, the seas were made. Slowly, creatures came to live on the plannet and inhabit it. The earth wasn't alone on her planet, she had children of her own now to look after and the sun and moon came to love and cherish their daughter."
